  1. Hey all,I just read all the pages here as ive been looking for the fix too. Have a look at this, is anyone getting this specifically, http://www.leveldsim.com/forums/forum_post...invisible+plane State video card and onboard sound or sound card, fsx version? The mention here is the acceleration is causing the problem we may have to uninstall it and install sp2. Supposedly, i havent tried yet.I personally am using gtx 285 oc with onboard sound (sound max) on an asus p6td dlx and installed fsx gold.I have the same issues as everyone else here, i haven't tried compatibility mode windows xp as im on 7 nor did i change my sound settings. As im new to this problem feel free to ask me what to test and i will? And hopefully my link can help others.BTW im using lvld 767 and it did not happen with default nor did it ever happen with pmdg.

  2. Hi,Glad to hear you like it :-)1. On the Departure Brief Page, select YES for MAN(ual) Departure. If memory serves correct, the FO will not engage the autopilot if you set that selection to YES. Then simply do not press the Secondary Button to call for HDG or LNAV. However, you may still get the VNAV call. I'd have to fly it again to refresh my memory.2. That's correct. There is a picture in the manual showing which knob on the audio panel you need to twist to monitor the FA's PA's.3. Shouldn't be an issue. All the best,
    1. Ok thanks for letti ng me know .2. As for this i can't seem to find the picture, and im not talking about interaction with fa, i mean FA to the passengers about electronics, video monitor seatbelts etc... not sure if fs2crew models this, i may be wrong but i tried PA and this allows me to ask for a drink but does the cabin allow you to hear passengers, music, announcements? i know realistically you wouldn't hear it but would be kind of cool,?3. Great ill try my own cold and dark cockpit and launch fs2 crew..

  3. FS2Crew is airline crew crew simulation. For example, in the 767 version, we worked with David Barrington, who is a Capt at a UK airline. So in FS2Crew you take the role the Capt, and everything you see in the sim is how you would see it from the perspective of the Capt (with respect to checklists, flows, crew interaction, etc).Cheers,
I completed my 1st flight with fs2crew, great product. However i do have 3 questions,1. It seemed that the FO controlled my autopilt settings on takeoff climb out, example speed HDG or LNAV depending what i chose. Is there a way to fly manually for the takeoff AND handle the MCP?2. Where are all the cabin announcements am i doing something wrong to not be able to hear the FA saying there briefing to the passengers on the long taxi for example. etc...Does it have to do with using cabin or pa under mic selection in the pedestal?3.CAn you load a cold and dark panel instead of the tutorial one, to be able to read the tutorial in the knee board but simulate any other flight from scratch? Thanks!

  4. Hello, that's not quite correct. The FO does not exclusively control the MCP at all. You still maintain control of the MCP.All the best,
Oh ok great thanks i was worried that the co pilot would control HDG ALT etc....I read the tutorial a few times but am really new to this program and just purchased it, however to my understanding is the concept of the program to help one read through the checklist and i the pilot will go in and click everything or at the different stages of preparation when called upon example before taxi the co pilot flips the knobs and settings and i get to relax while he sets it up. Which way is the program designed to meet the captains needs.. I will experiment but i was so curious i had to ask, i love the program but need to understand before the learning curve begins. I working on alot of different things lately!

  5. Hi,From reviews and videos it seems that most commands including the mcp are made by the Virtual pilot, correct me if i'm wrong?I just purchased a hardware MCP module and was wondering if this is really the case, in that scenario i have no real need to push the buttons myself which of course creates the real simulation of flight for me.ThanksCan anyone clarify?
Let me rephrase that i would like to know if fs2crew handles the mcp, because that would result in making my harware useless in a sense? Thanks!

  6. Under controller info tab there is only one tower frequency which i was tuned too, which will be the only frequency issuing takeoff and landing clearence. Unless i'm totally confused here, this does not make any sense, i will be creating a log and sending it to jd, as im exhausted looking for the fix to this. Also i did a search and did find similiar problems to mine in the past however the poster never answered back so no solution came out of it.Again to clarify in simple terms, I don't hear any takeoff or landing clearences when im tuned to twr as of final all the way to taxing off the active runway, i see other planes though and they are taking off and landing. Taxing is fine on ground control. It also seems noone is landing behind me after i land and am clear of the rwy by a good distance. And YES i have user plane checkbox unchecked in AI smooth.

  7. Sorry I want to mention I said this see below"As for parallel, i was landing 6L and traffic was 6R i'm sure in real life there is no other tower freq. just one. So i'm not sure i understand this, why would RC use 2 different tower freq. if that were the reason then its NOT realistic, as i'm sure there is only one freq." but what i really mean my specific airport i was landing at, I know for sure their is 1 twr frequency. I do know some airports do have multiple freq. So my mistake on not clarifing this statement.

  8. I'll try your idea of not having pre recorded chatter for the test.As for parallel, i was landing 6L and traffic was 6R i'm sure in real life there is no other tower freq. just one. So i'm not sure i understand this, why would RC use 2 different tower freq. if that were the reason then its NOT realistic, as i'm sure there is only one freq. I was tuned to tower on final, got clearence, heard noone else but me, while there was traffic holding short and another plane landing, i stayed on the twr freq for another 10 minutes and heard nothing while traffic was departing and landing, i landed taxied off the rwy and waited on tower freq, I ack. to switch to ground but didn't purposely to hear tower, traffic moving no chatter what so ever, i then eventually tuned ground and heard planes to taxi to ramp, hold short, pushback and start etc. all on one which is normal based on airport. But no transmission on twr.I also was realistically number 2 for landing but never heard num 2 for landing, but assuming the timing was off to hear this as i landed safely with noone in my way, where was the call to the guy in front of me, to taxi off the rwy and contact ground. I was on twr freq as i was cleared to land.Im confused, and I iknow how the atc system works, so im scratching my head on this one.

  9. At arrival airport, I landed and saw other planes taxing into position and landing aircraft and airborne planes after takeoff, I was cleared on the left runway all this other activity happened on the right, I was cleared to land and then boom not other transmission while other activity happened why is there not 100% interaction with AI INTERACTION selected in the options RC 4 menu. Why is this so weird and complicated, my takeoff was fine planes took off and i heard them all. Im really getting annoyed that most of my flights have some sort of problem. Is there not 100% interactivity with ALL AI on the ground and air.EDIT At what point is my frequency changed when "tune on contact" is selected, is it really when i click 1 to contact, or after my landing clearence and tower tells me to turn off and contact ground and i click 7 to confirm before getting off the runway. At this point other planes departed and i heard nothing at all.

  10. Hi JD before i do the log, im just trouble shooting myself, i'm learning as i go along.I noticed everything worked flawlessly at a NON add on airport, default airport. HOWEVER I also loaded AI smooth after fs9 which i never did before it was always fs9 then ai smooth. So i still don't know what the culprit is. Can you tell me though if ai smooth should always be loaded after fs9 is launched? This may be the only reason and it will work even at my add on airports.

  11. I was flying and when approaching the controller said i will be in a hold due to traffic and weather, i was told to fly 100 on the heading and that was it i circled one of the vor points which was the last on my plan, and still nothing no further clearence nor any communication prompt about delay vectors or flying the holding pattern, so i went back to my 100 hdg and kept flying still nothing, he also didn't tell me off for going off course, and im sure i was about 30 minutes later, however he didn't like me changing altitude.May I know what i may have done wrong? Thanks!

  12. By all means i'm just trying to understand why the reports from as were overcast and that is not what i saw. Trust me i know the textures don't matter that much, im more concerned about weather stations reporting overcast dont show it. What i created with fs9 was fictional and specifically overcast clouds world wide, and yes the coverage was perfect. 100% as with as and real life it was overcast and i didn't see it.EDIT i reread what i wrote, you never asked if what i saw with fs9 was the same as ASV, it wasn't, i saw scattered and broken with asv in ovc conditions.
