  1. Probably showing my age here but this thread got me digging through the boxes in the garage and I found I have every copy of MSFS since version 4.0.Back then it came on two disks. No, not CD's ..... floppies!!!If I remember correctly sound came out that little single built in speaker that was wired to the motherboard and RAM was measured in single digits. My 486/33 had no trouble keeping up with whatever Flight sim threw at it.I tried re-installing V4.0 but my P4 3.06GHz promptly spat it out again.John EDMONDSONYBBN (Brisbane)
  2. There is an area called the "Engine Display Control Panel" it is just above the upper EICAS there are two pusth buttons marked ENG and SYS. Move your cursor over either of those and press to toggle the lower EICAS on/off with the relevant details.John EDMONDSONYBBN

One sound I am really hoping is modeled is "the wailer" (I think that's what it is called). I believe it sounds when auto-throttle is disconnected and when fuel cutoff switch is activated, ie engine shut down. Sounds something like an electronic whoop, whoop, whoop. I think it's also used on the 777 as well for same functions.Knowing PMDG's attention to detail and having read the reviews so far it should be there.John EDMONDSONYBBN
  4. Renzo,I have used mutiple monitors running off my NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT for some time now with no problems in either full screen or windowed mode. I also use dual monitors for all other windows operations and, again, have had no problems.Did you check the mutiple monitor box in the PMDG menu. If not go to the PMDG pulldown menu choose -->styles-->various-->Allow undockable Overhead Panel (MULTI-MONITOR users ONLY) and make sure the box is checked.Hope this helps.John EDMONDSONYBBN
