  1. Double WOW! :-jumpy Whoever compiled the FSX upgrade guide; here's a big thank-you! I appreciate the time you took too put it together. It's a big help to us to who don't have the funds to buy a new PC but need to upgrade and are looking for the biggest bang for our buck. Thanks again! :-wave
  2. Thanks, Jim! It is a haze layer; clear weather eliminated it. Between my low end hardware and low weather settings it looks like a problem with the sim instead of haze. Thanks again my friend! :-wave
  3. Thanks Waldo, I'll check it out...
  4. I've got a very annoying problem with white terrain showing up anytime I climb above 8500 feet. As you can see in the attachments, the white terrain is below the aircraft; terrain and sky above the aircraft is fine. As soon as I descend below 8500 feet the terrain is fine. First attachment is above 8500; second is below 8500.Sliders are at default which are all on low with autogen and traffic off. Scenery complexity is sparse. I'm getting solid 13-15 fps away from major airports without any blurries or stutters.I've updated to the latest Nvidia drivers (91.47), tried FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION edits from 0.13-0.53. I'm also using Ken Slater's FS AutoStart to maximize resources with my very low end hardware.Anyone else experiencing this issue? Any ideas besides upgrading my hardware?
  5. I'm betting it's the default 737 in FSX. Looks like Microsoft included the Dreamliner textures for the default 737 & 747.
  6. Thanks for your reply...that did it! I didn't know that the attributes saved for the default flight would carry over to all of the flights. Thanks again for your help!-Tom
  7. Hi everyone!Whenever I click "Fly Now" and the flight is loaded, I get that nasty message "Simulation Paused". It happens with every aircraft, airport, and flight...the sim is paused when the flight is loaded. It used to only happen if I had another application running but now it happens all the time with every flight. I've checked my fs9.cfg but found nothing obvious.Any ideas? Thanks for your help,-Tom
  8. Hi George & Orbmis,I don't use FsNav but I've kept all of my AF2CAD files in the addon scenery/scenery folder. Even scenery like FreeFlow Florida which uses an installer puts the AF2CADs in the addon scenery/scenery folder. The only problem I ever had with approaches to addon scenery was not being able to find the ILS freq for the runway assigned by ATC. The frequency wasn't listed in map view. All of my AI traffic has always worked great.Since the reply from "737rated", I've made 5 successful approaches to KBOS.About moving the AF2CAD file...there's only one way to find out. Move it and see what happens!Good luck,Tom
  9. Thank-you so much for the website and the approach chart for 4R at KBOS!!! I just nailed my first ILS approach to KBOS in a Dreamwings Erj 170!:-)I really appreciate your help!-Tom
  10. Hi Everyone!I'm using George Grimshaw's fantastic Boston Logan 1.1 with FS2004.ATC always gives me an ILS rwy 4R approach for KBOS. The only problem is there's no ILS frequency for 4R listed in map view? How do I get the ILS freq? Departures from KBOS and AI traffic are not a problem.I've already redownloaded the scenery and re-installed/re-activated the scenery. I placed the KBOS afcad in my addon scenery/scenery folder.Any ideas? Thanks for your help!-Tom
