  1. Change the following entries to the values I have shown and let me know how it works for ya.TEXTURE_BLDG=3TEXTURE_GND=5TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=20 <--- this looks to low but try itTextureMaxLoad=16 <----- this is a new lineTERRAIN_ERROR_FACTOR=100.000000TERRAIN_MIN_DEM_AREA=10.000000TERRAIN_MAX_DEM_AREA=100.000000TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=21TERRAIN_TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=8TERRAIN_AUTOGEN_DENSITY=4TERRAIN_USE_GRADIENT_MAP=1TERRAIN_EXTENDED_TEXTURES=1TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.500000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=9.500000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=5Mode=???? X ???? X ?? <---- you have at least 4 entries of this and there should only be ONE. IT should be under the heading of:[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA.........]and should be the same resolution as your machine is set to.Delete all the others.Your lines reading Trilinear=1 should only be under this heading too.Your Mipbias=8 line should be under the heading [DISPLAY]Delete all the others.Try those to start and let me know how things go for you.Remember to backup your FS9.CFG file before making the changes.Thanks.Paul.

  2. Hi guys:In your settings ensure you have the following two options checked. For display settings on the Scenery tab ensure you have check marks set for:Dawn/Dusk Blending andExtended Terrain Textures. As for the clocks switching - yes I believe it's a time zone / Greenich Mean Time (Zulu Time) thing.Thanks.Paul.

  3. Jeff:I must admit I tried your settings and to my surprise I have excellent results. I'm using 24, 20, 16 respectively for the entries in the FS9.CFG you mentioned. My machine - Gateway P4 2.4 Ghz with 512 mb nvidia 7600 GS vid card - 3.5 GB memory (4 GB on Win Xp SP2 32 bit operating system) and LG 20.1 " flat screen monitor.I will contine testing and let you guys know if my results continue.Around what frame rate limit would you suggest NOT going over using these new settings?Thanks.Paul.

  4. CDAhmedEH I see your computer specs there - could you post your FS9.CFG file here and I'll take a look at it.Other have done it and I've made suggestions to them and it seems to have worked for them. I don't see why it wouldn't for you.I'll watch this thread to see when / if you post your FS9.CFG file and I'll get back to you.Thanks.Paul.

  5. Texturemaxload is is like a multiplier of your TEXTURE_BANDWITH_MULT value. Of course that's the very simplest of explanations :)The values for TEXTURE_BLDG and TEXTURE_GND from what I understand just give a higher priority to the building and/or ground textures (which ever one you increase from the default value of 1 - However, don't go any higher then 5 from what I hear).Thanks.Paul.

  6. Also change the following entries as well to the values I have shown below. They should help with keeping your building and ground textures more crisp and clear - and do so quicker.TEXTURE_BLDG=3TEXTURE_GND=5However, if you see it slowing your machine down any at all just drop the numbers down slightly.Thanks.Paul.

  7. First you seem to have multiple [display.....] entries in your config file. Some from 800X600 all the way to 2560 X 1024.Remove all but one - keep the one that is just above your UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT line.Second - try reducing your TEXTURE_BANDWITH_MULT from 400 to 200.Try changing TEXTURE_GND to 5Also find the following lines in your .cfg file and set them to the amounts shown.TERRAIN_ERROR_FACTOR=100.000000TERRAIN_MIN_DEM_AREA=10.000000TERRAIN_MAX_DEM_AREA=100.000000TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=21TERRAIN_TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=8TERRAIN_AUTOGEN_DENSITY=4TERRAIN_USE_GRADIENT_MAP=1TERRAIN_EXTENDED_TEXTURES=1TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.500000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=9.500000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=5lastly, have you tried using nhancer (www.nhancer.com) and using the help found here about setting your AA, AF settings correctly with it?If not give that a shot as well.ThanksPaul.

  8. I do and it only seems to be around the London area as well.I have UT Europe and Ground Environment Pro and when flying around London (EGLL) and London Center (EGLC) the ground textures seem blurry constantly.I can fly around Chicago and other big centers around the world and textures stay pretty sharp - the only other area that may stay blurry for me or slow to sharpen is New York City, but other then that all textures stay pretty sharp.P4 2.4 GHZ 3.3GB memory (4GB installed on XP 32 bit SP2),512MB Geforce Nvidia 7600GS video card, 20.1" LG widescreen flatpanel monitor.Thanks.Paul.

  9. BoeingGuy:The Texture_BLDG and Texture_GND just, from what I've found out through others, cause the ground and building textures to stay sharper and sharpen up more quickly then normal.Note: From what I've heard though don't go any higher then 5 for these values.TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS= This is the number of rings to add when using extended texture rings, default is 1I've heard values of higher then 4 for this entry is not recognized even though I've seen some pretty strange numbers for this entry.Thanks. Paul.

  10. BoeingGuy make the following changes to your FS9.CFGFirst you have two [DISPLAY.Device.......] entries - delete the second one - there should only be one.Now make these changes:Right below your TEXTURE_BANDWITH_MULT=125 entry add the following line: TextureMaxLoad=10Set your UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT from 24 to 26Change the lines shown below to the values shown:TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.500000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=4.500000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=4Find the lines shown below (they should already be in your FS9.CFG) and make them the values shown:TEXTURE_BLDG=3TEXTURE_GND=5After these changes let me know how things work for ya.Thanks Paul.

  11. Boeinguy:Post or send me your FS9.CFG file and I'll try to suggest some changes for you. Also have you heard about, via here or other places, about nhancer? Go to www.nhancer.com and install it. If you have any issues following the tweaks found here for it I can help you out there too.Based on your computer specs I can try and help you out with your .CFG file as i said above.Thanks.Paul.
