  1. I would call that an Airbus - A3XX of some sort. Hope this helps!
  2. Hey Ken, Wow - that sounds great! I will check it out and see if there is any way I can contribute!Regards, David
  3. Hey guys,For fun over X-MAS I installed FlyII on my laptop - dual core, nvidia 7400. I downloaded all the planes on Avsim, downloaded all the sectionals. Was able to utilize FSBuild and the new AutoMetar - it all just worked - great frame rates, nice models - I really like the Hawker. I wish there was one that nice for FSX. Also the panels are so well done.I have really been enjoying it these last few weeks. When I got on the FLY kick, I also downloaded the new version of Flight Gear - both the X86 version and the auto boot Linux version. Comparing them both FlyII really was nice - and I continue to fly it now. Flight Gear is also good - I wish that FLY would have been released to the community. There are some good tutorials on Avsim for how to use the FMS and also optimize the display settings to make the world more realistic. I think it is still a viable sim - and does not require a really ultimate gaming rig like what I use for FSX - a quad core, 8800 GTX SLI system with 4 GIG of Ram. A simple laptop gets it done with great framerates, a sweet built in vector map (nicer than FSNavigator IMHO) and the killer sectional maps.B.T.W. I also still have my TEE Shirt - if reality had a patent we'd own it.Just a side note - I was so much getting into it, I contacted PMDG to try to get the FlyII 777 but no joy. They suggested Regsoft / digital river but they no longer carry it.... Oh well.FLY still lives.Regards,DavidAustin, TX
  4. I have the yoke/throttle and one of the addon throttles. I have not used the programming software and disabled all controls in FSX and and FS9 with the exception of the hat switch. I have all button and axis assignment assigned and calibrated through FSUIPC. I have had no problems except for the LCD timer / clock that is weak and flickers. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't - the display that is. I am too lazy to deal with this right now.The build quality of the controls seems much better than the CH and the controls are much more precise. The yoke is a bit stiff but I can deal with that. The hat switch is on the other side than the CH yoke but I am getting used to that too.I like this setup MUCH more than the CH setup - I had the yoke / throttle as well. I also used to use their rudder setup but have the Saitek here as well. My throttle setup is the far left throttle used as the spoiler, the middle 4 as throttles, and the far right as flaps. This works well. I still use my CH throttle set for switches as well as prop and mixture controls.Overall I am pretty happy with the exception of the display thing.Regards, David
