Make sure you're flying in an area with good high res coverage and using the proper service. Service 3 is good for the U.S, Service 1 for Europe.
  2. I had TP Beta 8 running just fine on Windows XP...took a break for a week. Next time I started TP, my system crashed...recovered from a serious error. I reinstalled FSX, and TP, and now I get the filter port error. Any ideas? I have been through the forum, and have tried everything I could find related to this error and Windows XP. Curious thing is, I had not changed anything on FSX or TP between the time it worked and the time it crashed my system. Any help would be much appreciated!
  3. darrincates.....I noticed that you posted your .ini settings for FSX in another thread....would you mind letting me see your FS9 settings? I'm only getting 20-24 tps with a 4 Mbps connection. I've always wondered if I could do better, and I get the impression other people are getting better numbers with FS9. Thanks!
  4. Those are some terrific shots....I have found that the American Southwest is my favorite region in which to fly. The contrasting scenery and colors are just amazing. Service 3 has some great coverage in the States; I have found that Service 1 gives good results for Southern England. Have you discovered any other regions world-wide where high-res coverage is good? Regards - Elwood Smith
  5. Incredible...truly a fantastic application of a great program! It has changed the way I fly in FS9...I can only imagine how great FSX must be with the higher resolution.
  6. Thank you...I guess I have some upgrading to do....great program, thanks for that and your prompt reply!
  7. I'm running XP, with Net Framework 1...and I can't get this to work...do I need any Service Packs installed? Maybe Net 2? Thanks! I'm trying to get it to work with FS9, by the way.....I also got an error about a DLL file, FLTLIB.DLL...?
  8. I recently downloaded TileProxy (for FS9), and installed it. However, when I try to start the program, it says that it cannot find FLTLIB.DLL.FS9 works great, so it's not like I'm missing an important file. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks!

    Thanks, guys.
  10. The FSX box mentionds the need for a sound card, and Microsoft SP2. Is anyone successfully running FSX with onboard sound, SP1, and Windows XP?
  11. Have you replaced your default grass texture lately? I got the exact same effect with a new grass texture, and with the original texture put in, it went away. I can't remember the exact txture, but I did a search here on AVSIM forums asking about bright textures, and I got the anser. Good luck
  12. I have actually been playing around with different grass textures...replaced my DETAIL1 with the original...no luck, I'm still getting the bright squares following the aircraft...thanks anyway...any other ideas?

Ar first I thought it was just the snow textures but I was flying in FL this evening and noticed the same effect. The tiles will keep up with you as you fly and it becomes less of a problem the higher you get since it is harder to see. Have not made any changes in the cfg file but I did update my video driver to the Nvidia 81.98. I don't recall having the problem for several flights after updating the driver though. Just seeing if anyone might have any ideas about what may be causing this! Thanks.Dell 4600 2.66ghz1gb DDR RAMGeForce FX5900xt-128mbWindows XP Home"
