Multiple DISPLAY.DEVICE entries in FSX.CFG
OK snave......I deleted the last 3 entries and restart FSX, only three entries (the correct ones) will remain. But if I enable "preview directX 10" the last 3 entries (GTX+.0.0 ,GTX+.0.1 GTX+.1.0) are entered again. The same devices appear in the video device settings.DX10 does not work, only flickering black screens, sound is ok.

Multiple DISPLAY.DEVICE entries in FSX.CFG
I FOUND ANOTHER DISPLAY DEVICE ENTRY (total = 6) so the FSX.CFG contains :[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+.0]Mode=3840x1024x32TriLinear=1[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+.1]Mode=1920x1200x32TriLinear=1[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+.2]Mode=1280x1024x32TriLinear=1[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+.0.0]Mode=1280x800x32[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+.0.1]Mode=1024x768x32[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+.1.0]Mode=3840x1024x32In the settings only the first 3 entries are shown.

Multiple DISPLAY.DEVICE entries in FSX.CFG
I'm running FSX under Vista x64 with a multimonitor system:3 x 17" (1280x1024) LCD connected to graphiccard 1 - output 1 via TH2GO digital 1 x 24" (1920x1200) LCD connected to graphiccard 2 - output 11 x 19" (1280 x1024) LCD connected to graphiccard 2 - output 2The two graphic cards are both NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+. The system is running ok, I use full screen view. When only VC on the 3 x17" monitor the FPS is between 20-50, I'm very happy with that.If I add instrument views (panels) on both 24" and 19"monitor the FPS reduces to 5-25, so I try to get a better performance.Doing that I wondered some entries in the FSX.CFG file.I see that there are 5 display devices (or video card entries) instead of the expected 3 !!IS this normal, anyone have any simular experience ???? What does the numbers .1 / .0.1 / .2 eg. mean ?My FSX.CFG:[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+.1]Mode=1920x1200x32TriLinear=1[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+.2]Mode=1280x1024x32TriLinear=1[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+.0.0]Mode=1280x800x32[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+.0.1]Mode=1024x768x32[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+.1.0]Mode=3840x1024x32[MULTIPLAYER]

B747-400 FMC: ILS will not autotune
I studied the manuals (again) and I found in the little FMC manual (which is in the DVD box) 3 constraints for autotune ILS:- within 200 miles of top of descent- approach procedure is selected - approach procedure entered in the RTE LEGS flight planQuestion: Is ILS autotune disabled when you are not flying on VNAV and there is NO top of descent calculated and/or displayed in the ND ?Herman

B747-400 FMC: ILS will not autotune
John and Michael:John: I'll will check your points if autotune fails, but so far it didn't. What do you mean with pt3: I doubt if the runway must be on top of the legs page because at that point you are already approaching the runway. I think most of the ILS legs will start at a fix where you can capture the ILS. Did you mean that the first ILS fix must be on top?Michael: I upgraded yesterday the AIRAC and SID/STARS to the latest versions, after that I had 2 flights without any problem BUT still NOT SURE if the problem is solved because I have the problem irregularly.Thks,Herman

B747-400 FMC: ILS will not autotune
Thks so far,I've tried ILS autotune this evening twice and it worked correct if I select the ILS departure rwy after passing halfway through my flight.(flight: EBBR DCT HELEN DCT RIVER EHAM, ILS-18R select just before RIVER, NAV/RAD shows 110.10/186 PARK, just before RIVER HDG016-SELECT, after a few miles the NAV/RAD shows 110.10/186A) It was not necessary to set the approach speed/flaps, the ILS freq/crs showed up before setting the approach speed/flaps.I'm not sure if selecting the RWY before halfway is the problem, I will continue testing and keep you informed of the progress.Maybe PMDG support can give the conditions which must be true to autotune the ILS. I did not found it in the manual.Herman

B747-400 FMC: ILS will not autotune
I've read carefully several topics concerning ILS autotune but still have the following problem/question:After selecting the ILS RWY on the DEP/ARR page and activate etc... the ILS-freq is SOMETIMES not tuned automatically. ILS-MLS shows PARK on the NAV/RAD page.If I select other RWYs, change the route, even another airport, it won't help: ILS-MLS remains on PARK! Tune the ILS manually is no problem but I like to know whats causing the FMC to refuse SOMETIMES autotuning the frequency.I've the FEELING that autotune works ok if I program the approach in a early stage of the flight. Once the ILS is correctly autotuned, it continues to work correct during the flight.Herman

PMDG 747-400 FMC FLIGHTPLAN LOAD
Thks Jim, I read a lot of messages about this issue but with your answer I understand the problem. Now I will try to make my own flightplan and save it. I do not have FSbuild or other third party programs. I find it even exiting to study the documentation and charts and make my own flightplan !Herman

PMDG 747-400 FMC FLIGHTPLAN LOAD
First, congratulations to the makers of PMDG 747-400, what a great product !I'm not a very experienced user, but most of the problems I could solve. But loading a (.rt2) flightplan into the FMC result in some error messages in the FMC display. First, I updated the navdata (AIRAC_0513 and SID-STAR:PMDG_AIO 2006-03-10) but there are still error messages in the FMC display. Sofar, only KLAXKEDW will be loaded without any problem. But as example loading (COROUTE) LHRAMS001 results in" 11 RNW LOAD ERR"" NOT IN DATABASE""UR123 VIA LOAD ERR"Could somebody help me?ThanksHerman
