  1. I am not sure what you mean by setting the irs position on the POS INIT page. I enter my current postion. But in the 747, you have to copy the gps coordinates and paste them in the position slot. That option doesn't show for the 737, at least I have not seen it.
  2. I have set the irs, and I wait for the align light to go out, but it doesn't change anything. The map display does not show my flight route. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
  3. I am starting my 737 cold and dark. I go through all the procedures, I even initialize the IRS and wait for the align lights to go out. But the map display will not initialize. I have no idea what I need to do.
  4. Thanks, that fixed it. I was forgetting to press eht exec button. I have another problem, though. Now my map display on my MFD is not initializing. I have loaded it as cold and dark, and I initialize the INF switches, but the displays will not update to show my flight map. I meant ins switches crap...irs...not ins
  5. I am having difficulty getting my Vspeeds to register. I press the suggested speeds, and the V speeds do not indicate on the MFD. Also, when I get airborn, the VNAV button will not engage. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
  6. I have recently reinstalled my PMDG 744 Queen of the skies and I am having troubles getting things started. I start the APU and engage the power, but the PFD, MFD and EICAS displays turn off and never come back on. What do I need to do?

Now, since I did pay for the extended download for the 400F, is it possible to get a re-download on that as well? I know that I did pay for that at about the same time that I bought the 400X. I don't know why that order is not showing in my list.
  9. I am sorry for the confusion. I made a mistake and re-ordered the FS9 version. The one I want to reorder is Order #103151 - Order Date: 8/17/2008. I think this was packaged together with the F at the time. If I have to re-purchase the F, I, reluctantly, will do that or I may just go without. I didn't fly it as much as I thought I would.
  10. The 747-400X is Order #103151 - Order Date: 8/17/2008 I assume the 400F is included in that as I do not see a separate purchase for that. I do need to own up to my own mistake. I see that I ordered the FS9 version instead of the FSX. I do not use FS9 at all any longer. Can I please get that reversed and have the FSX order instead?
  11. I ordered the extended downloads for the MD11, the 747-400X and the -400F. I got the MD11, not problem with that. But I was sent the link for the FS9 version of the 744, and I have requested three times now to get the correct links with absolutely no responses to my tickets. What am I supposed to do to get anyone's attention to complete the order I PAYED for?!!
  12. I do not believe that I have any security software that would do that. It only happens when I fly pmdg aircraft. The communication between FSX and FSC and FS flight tracker, just stops working. If it were the security software, it would happen with all my aircraft. I fly online with IVAO and the data transmits fine to the network, just not to my external programs. And to really mess things up, it isn't consistent. Sometimes it fails, others it doesn't. Is there some status file that you can look at and find out what is causing the simconnect to fail?
  13. Lately I have been having troubles with PMDG aircraft clobbering my simmconnect to other programs. Usually, only on long term flights, about four hours into the flight, my simmconnect fails when I am flying PMDG aircraft. This is only in FSX. I am using a Windows XP, latest version, FSX SP2 and I used the latest versions of FS Commander and FS Flight tracker. When the simconnect fails, the FSC connection pauses, my aircraft begins to stop and pause for several seconds at a time and my FS Clock no longer matches the computer clock. The FS Flight Tracker no longer receives data either, it does not record my touch down or the end of the flight.I have confirmed that no other aircraft cause this trouble than PMDG aircraft.What could possibly be causing this?
  14. Good to know, I was wondering about that. I guess MD11s get special dispensation on that rule. I am not sure if keeping landing lights on until 10K is FAA regs or just airline SOPs. For those of you using FSPAX, turn off the lights penalty in your setup file.
  15. I have had nothing but bad experiences with captain sim. The 757 cockpit is so screwed up, I can't fly the plane. The C-130, I was really looking forward to, but I can't even get the engines started...and that is with following the manual ver batum.
  16. Any chance you guys are working on the Wilco Fleet 777 to add to FS2Crew? If so, I would love a voice commander version of that.
  17. A departure briefing seems to be superfluous then...it's nice to have, but it would be nice to have 'something' to say in that regard, even if the FO doesn't respond until you say 'any questions.' And what happened to the cruise checklist?
  18. This is a really cool addon. Just had my first flight and was very much impressed. I was disappointed in a few things. There are no options to let the FO take off for you, that's ok...but it would be nice to have that option. The checklists are nice, but a complete listing of them would be good...having sheets with the preflight, the actual departure brief, approach brief...etc. If I could just print those out and have them available to read off verbatum, it would make things so much more realistic. Other than those items, the flow was good and being able to say the commands instead of clicking buttons makes it very nice to fly on my flightsim.
  19. The problem is that I moved all my PMDG files into one folder. This has never happened before that when I ran the erase utility, it erased ALL the files in that folder. I have the old files still on the old computer, but that will be a pain in the butt to drag it back out, hook it back up to the network and download them again. If I have to, I'll do it, but I would rather be able to have another download of the most up to date versions from the PMDG site if at all possible.
  20. I tried to reload my PMDG 737 series. First thing I did was to uninstall them using the uninstall utility. All of my downloads of the aircraft were removed from the directory. I now no longer have them. How do I go about getting new copies?

  22. Why are there no Nav radio controls on the PMDG 747?
  23. I am having a problem where when I start a flight during the ground procedures my rear cargo door will open as well as the bulk cargo door. It doesn't close when the bulk cargo door does and my FS Passengers then give me an error. I don't know why the door opens or how to get it closed. Either that happens or the bulk cargo door won't open and then it opens when it's supposed to close. Either I have to reload the airplane or reboot the whole system and start the flight over. This is getting REALLY annoying and time consuming. Any idea what I can do to get this to stop?
  24. I got it now. I am using FS2Crew and it put the IRS selectors in NAV right off the bat. I wasn't turning them off first. I did that and it works now. Thanks.
