I had unchecked them allready but that did not help the situation.I certainly need them checked, for this aircraft has the strange behaviour to go stray now and then and if the controls are checked, I can return it to the track it has to fly.I had posted this allready but no one had a sound solution.Perhaps I have to install the whole panel again.Do not know how, but will find out.Carlos

Hello DanI always check off the AT, Flight Dir just before touching the runway and Auto Pilot when the speed is reduced to 20 or 15 knots.This afternoon I just get the aircraft up on London Heathrow and did a round, 270 up and 09 down, without FMC.The taxiing was ok this time and I taught that the situation was solved, until after I came down and turned to the taxy way, than it started again. I thought so myself that the AP is keeping it to the center line when it happened the first time, but than it should disappear when I close the AP.Besides when taxiing to the runway the AP is not on.To me it looks like it is random, but of course that is not so.Carlos

HelloI have an other situation with my rudder.When taxiing the aircraft starts to sway.So I had a look at the eicas the rudder and saw that is was far to the left.However I could not trim it to be in the center.I have also re-calibrated my Pro Pedals and that didn't help either.After take off, the rudder gets centered again, and when landed the same thing starts over again.I have also disconnected the autorudder in the settings,no change.Is there anyone who experienced this already and what is there to do about it????? }( :-jumpy Carlos
  4. Thank you RyanI knew something like this was available, but didn't know where to get it.The Loadeditor works fine again.This must has happend when installing the SP1 for FSX.I looked in the registry and could see that there was something missing, but didn't know how to fix that.Carlos

Hello,This last days when I try to load the Load editor I get a fatal error saying: " Could not detect a valid Microsoft Flight Simulator installation".Well it is right there under its nose.Does some one knows where this is coming from, never had this before.Is it easy to re-install the PMDG 747-400???Perhaps that would be the best thing to do.Carlos

Hello DanI have also start climbing to FL 390.I espected the CRZ on the eicas to change into CLB, but it remain CRZ.According to FMC the optimum is FL 376.So why FL 390 ?????On the EHSI it should also say VNAV ALT in stead of VNAV PATH, when at FL 390.VNAV PATH means it still has some more to go.Anyhow that is how I understood it.ThanksCarloshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174443.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174444.txthttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174445.jpg
  7. Hello DanThis time I have enter VNAV at 500ft.It works fine this time.But look at the Leg page and the VNAV page.The CRZ alt setting is FL 320 and the aircraft wants to go to FL 390.I have add attachments to look at.ThanksCarlos

Hello,I have this situation with the 744.It can not maintain the crz alt.When I enter FL 320 as crz alt, the aircraft will take me to FL 390.Even when I set the MCP ALT to 32000 it still goes higher.The situation is than, that it keeps climbing and I end with a flaps of 30 at FL 250, so that the aircraft stalls for it can not increase speed.In the Eicas there is still CLB even when I am descending or cruizing.It is always fl 39000 I noticed, is there some special reason for this???This is not nice flying, for I get into troubles with ATC.The aircraft also strays away from the track sometimes, but perhaps that is because I have the setting to have control over the steering of the aircraft even when the AP is on.   9. Thanks RayI will try this out this or next week. There is one other thing and that is that over the ocean, they some times let you fly different levels ( in real life).In the FMC I can set the same level for those legs. No problem.Thanks anyhowRegardsCarlos

Hi,Is there anyone who has done a long haul with RC4 and PMDG 747-400/Level-D 767-300.In the manual it is said that the copilot doesn't work with this simulations.How than can I use RC4 on long hauls f.i Amsterdam - st Maarten ( Antilles) appr. 9 hours ( EHAM - TNCM)Well I can't sit 9 hours waiting for ATC give some instructions.The first hour and a half is OK, but crossing the ocean is the bottle neck.Has somebody did this before and how?????RegardsCarlos

  12. When I use the Trim on my Flight Sim Yoke - CH Product -I can contol the aircraft so that it keeps the cruise level. The speed is than what it ought to be.Perhaps the trim on the the yoke gives problems and have to be reset.I'll see to that to morrow.Thanks anyhow for the support.I'll report back what I have done, it might be interesting for someone els.Carlos
  13. This was the PMDG tutorial flight no 4 part 4, KPHX - KLAX, so everything is preset. I used it before and it was ok at that time. The destination alt was set to 6000 and the MCP alt also 6000 , so that was correct, but later the destination alt on the alt tape reset itself to 200 and the MCP was stil 25000, which I had set as the cruise speed.The leg page looked normal, no abnormalities.Of course the aircraft climbs in VNAV SPD, but it couldn't make the calculated speed, and I had to set the flaps most of the time at 5 and sometimes even 10 to prevent stalling.I flew from st Maarten -Antilles to Amsterdam already with no problem.It is now that this occurs.Perhaps the best thing is indeed to reinstall the aircraft and see what happens.Carlos

HelloI have a 747-400 and flown with a couple of time now.Did all the tutorials, without any problems.Since yesterday I have this huge problem that the aircraft will not level off at the cruize altitude, it is climbing and try to reach the Max altitude of 41800 in this case. The set cruize alt was 25000.What ever I did, changing the MCP Alt. pressing FL CH, pressing VNAV again, nothing helped even pressing Alt Hold.Also the acrft never get to the calculated speed of 322 and it ended at 192.Even after TOD it kept trying to reach the Max alt.After changing the MCP Alt and pressed Fl Ch it get down, but when I press VNAV again it start climbing again.In the VNAV page all was correct except that on the "Climb page" in the VNAN page I got an invalid entry when I was trying to set the Cruize Alt there. It always kept empty. To me that is strange!!!What I also noticed is that on the Altitude tape at the start there was the MCP altitude, but after a while there was this number 200 in magenta and with a yellow box flashing around it. Do not know what this means.What ever I did nothing helped.Has someone a clue of what is going on here, for I am puzzled.RegardsCarlos Oosterling
  15. I've found what was not correct.The FS9 was started but nothing was loaded.Apparently there must be an aircraft loaded before one can load a RCD file.Carlos
  16. All of a sudden I start getting an error " load_rc_state, ff0 is never 0", when I try to load an RCVD file that I have loaded 2 times before.Does someone know where that is coming from????

I have just repeated the flight from 30 NM from KMEM (TUT 2)and when I descent as I was requested to FL70 than everything is fine and I can be vectored to land.In this case I didn't need a second appr. controler.I think that it is when I need a second controler for the DV/HP that there comes the inconsistancy with the frequenties.Carlos

  19. I know where the files are going for I have define the folder in "Radar Contact Options .FLT/.WX Path"I have tried it out also. The path must also be the FLight Simulator File folder otherwise it will find the RCD files but come up with an error message that it can't find the .flt files.I had set the path for the .RCD files in a different folder not to get the FLight Simulator File folder to crowded, but allas. I get thye 3 files only when I hit CTRL+SHIFT +;, onlly with ; I get 2 files and not the RCD files.I will try these on later again, perhaps I'm not seeing something as it is.Carlos
  20. Everything was set as it is in the tutorial 2.I have tried 1-ack and contact and 7-only ack, nothing changes the freq 123.15. The co-pilot was flying and I had choosen DV for delay pattern.For me it is strange for up to that point all went very well.I don't tune manual for it takes to much time and the controlers get impatient with me. Tried it in tutorial 1.

When on approach to KMEM TUT2 I get a freq to atune to 123.15 and than later, a vew seconds, I get an other freq 126.7 to atune to.The latter is impossible to atune to and whatever I do I don't get it right again.The controler keep asking for the ack and tuning but that is impossble.So I had to turn to VisualApproach to land the aircraft.In the list the freq 126.7 is the correct one, the other- 123.15- doesn't appear in the list of freq for KMEM.You told me the last time that there are several app. controlers on this busy airport, but why can't I make the switch to the new given freq.It is acknowledged,but nothing changes.It keeps coming in the textbox to atune to 123.15I had this before and wrote you about it, but now it happens again.Is there something to do about this for it is very annoying on the approach when one has so much to take care of.RegardsCarlos

I have tried this but I only get the .flt and .wx files and not the RCD files.When I save with CTRL+SHIFT+; then I get all the 3 files.Of course there will be this name starting with the day nummber of the year etc, but we can rename it in the Flightsim folder.Perhaps there si still a bug or we are doing something wrong!!!!????:) :) :-jumpy :-hmmm Carlos
  23. Ok thanks. I think it is better to produce an appendix/addendum to the manual, for I thinks there will be lost of misunderstanding about this.You can say that from FSUIPC 3.73 the Adv. Display- downloaded from Shirati- is of no value anymore, so we know that is obsolete. Thanks for respondingRegardsCarlos

When I delete the ADv display, I can't change the color etc,I can undock/dock and resize the "Radar Contact" text box, but that is all.In the manual and tutorials all the text is in the textbox with Adv displ in the title and green text.Is this done in a different way than usual????I am a little confused for in the manual there is a separate chapter for Adv Display.Carlos

HelloI am new to RC and tried the turorial 1 today.The first time was not that good, so I tried it a second time.This went better.At the end when approaching Kord, I got a message to contact approach.First I got the freq. 122.90, which is no where in the list. Soon after that I got an other freq. 128.45, which is the correct one.What happened is that the freq. 128.45 was set in the nav radio and it was acknowleged but in the text display there still was freq 122.90 and I couldn't get it out. So when I pressed 1 I got a wait and some time later the controler was asking again to contact him at freq 128.45.Due to this I flew over Kord and had to ask for a visual apprach.An other thing I don't understand is that when I mis a waipoint/fix the controler have me turn back 180 degrees, that is inderstandable but a couple of minutes later he send me to an other direction.I didn't even missed the waipoint at a great distance.What will happen when I fly the PMDG 747-400 on the AP ???I have notice that when it is a sharp turn, the AP start to turn long before the waipoint is reached, sometime 2 legs make a very sharp edge, so such a heavy aircraft cn not amek such a sharp turn which would be very nasty for the passengers.There is something else with the Adv display.I get two dispays.1. From RC which is transparent( I like that) and in the title bar: Radar Contact and it has the text in red.2. When I click on the Adv display in the module in FS, I get an other Text screen with Adv display in the title bar and there is no way that I can get the text of the RC in that text box. When right clicking in the textbox of the Adv display from the module in FS, I get the menu but it has no Save option in it.I have already downloaded the lastest Adv display from Shirrati.Has someone has an idea how to solve this situations?????RegardsCarlos
