Just brings me back to my point about downloaded aircraft. I downloaded the 'Carenado' PC 12 well after Oct 14, but NOT from Carenado! I assume and it is an assumption, that my download included the service pack. Otherwise I'm stumped cos Carenado will not recognise my purchase. This makes life difficult because Bert suggests that his autopilot and transponder mods will only work IF users have Carenado's service pack 1 installed.

Thanks for comments. I'm confused! Nearly everything I've read about the sound issues, and there are quite a few around, suggests that some folks are hearing these test alert sounds and some are not. Others say the sounds are too loud. The engine sounds have also come in for some attention too. Mine was a download from Just Flight only last week. I'm not sure where service packs kick in. Carenado use what I call selling agents too don't they? Just Flight also model aircraft and I always wonder whether the modelling is theirs or the downloads are Carenado originals. If they are originals will they contain the latest updates? In other words do companies like Just flight and flight one gain access to updates and service packs from the original modeller? If on the other hand 'Carenado' has issued a service pack and that has not been distributed to alternative selling agents, how in these circumstances does the user access it? Apologies for labouring this but it's something that's bugged me for a long time with downloaded aircraft from different sellers and which are still under the same header banner as the original maker, if that makes any sense?

I am not getting any sound from both the pusher and fire alert buttons when pressed. The wav files are in the sound folder and when open are ok. Can anyone offer me advice on how to fix.the problem please? I've only recently downloaded the aircraft from Just Flight so I did a re-install but with same result. Thanks

Just returning to the ATR and FS2 Crew after some years away. All systems working Ok except for the 'Int' button on the radio panel. I cannot bring up the 'PA' page to check this as the 'Int' button does not appear to work. Anyone experience similar problem and found a fix? Tx

Have you installed anything new in the way of textures recently? Is the texture problem just with water? If you have installed something recently then I would try maybe a system restore to a point when you didn't have the problem,also check your water settings within the simulator. I'm no expert but I would look at these areas first.

It's a while since I played around with the settings, I have two quadrants and the yoke and found that by using Pete Dowson's FSUIPC Application which kind of acts as a go between with flight simulator, you can fine tune many of your simulator settings, particularly game controllers. One of the advantages is that you can 'programme' these settings for specific aircraft eg single/multi engine. There are lots more tweaks within the programme. You can either use the free programme or purchase a licence. The latter gives you more scope. At first glance the user manuals look a little daunting but trial and error is the name of the game and like anything else take your time and play around with the settings until you have them set the way you want them. If you don't already have Pete's excellent application just search on Google and you'll find it without any problem. There's lots of tutorials around and some are quite specific to game controllers. I hope this helps.

I am running FSX with a second monitor alongside. I also fly in FS2004 and in both prefer full screen mode, I find it that bit more realistic. While FS 2004 presents no problem in showing full screen on the second monitor, we know that FSX will not. I have heard that there is a piece of software/tool that will allow the user to operate FSX in full screen on the second monitor eg for charts and additional instrumentation etc thus avoiding the need to go into Window mode! Has anyone out there come across this and better still actually tried it? Thanks guys and regards Brian

Hi JeffI think you're right. I've tried the SHIFT 1 etc option but it can be a real pain so I too have reverted to the original panel with cfg. If I land in 2D I just raise the seat a little. But VC gets around the whole problem. Regards Steeley

Anyone had trouble with viewing the panel options ie alternating between IFR view and land view. When I click on the icon in IFR mode to go into land view I get two panels showing. The top end of the IFR panel is sitting behind the land view panel. Any solutions much appreciated.
