Quick question
rich12545 replied to rich12545's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumI tend to forget. Maybe I should write a yellow postit and place it in the middle of my computer screen. Really, the program should have an option to terminate with or right after FSX closes. Too bad it doesn't.

Quick question
How can I get ASN to turn off automatically when FSX turns off? I would think there's a switch or something somewhere but I can't find anything.

FS9 to FSX
That doesn't sound good. Based on what you say, I don't see how they would charge instead of just giving a free download for that and B25. There's an FSX free small patch for each but it would be marginally better having a more solid FSX product. Certainly not worth paying again for the same thing.

FS9 to FSX
Some years ago I purchased all three aircraft for FS9. I now use FSX exclusively and am thinking about using them again. Is it possible to simply download the FSX versions or is it necessary to pay for them again? I understand they are already virtually compatible with a small patch. Thank you for any help.

B-25 media question
Hello, some years ago I purchased the three aircraft for FS9 plus the B-25 media program. You might recall I asked to download the program. Anyway, it has disappeared from my backup disk and I'm wondering how I can redownload it. Thank you. Rich

Vector question
I'm thinking about buying the ORBX global products. The only thing that's keeping me from doing it is misplaced airports in the vector product. It can't help but provide thousands of airports in wrong places due to correcting the ocean, lake and river shore lines. There will be airports in water. There will be float ports on land. All over the globe unless part of the program is the repositioning of many airports and float ports. I looked at the web site and saw nothing about this. Does anybody here have any information? Has this been corrected in the program or not? I'd like to find out before spending any money. Thank you for any help.

ASN Question
rich12545 replied to rich12545's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumI set that to 25 and it didn't do anything. Still, all I saw was grey. It seems simple but did I do something wrong? One more question, when I purchase the upgrade, how does this work? Do you cancel my ase code and give me an asn code? Or do I download something that I install on top of ase?

ASN Question
rich12545 replied to rich12545's topic in The AS16 and ASCA | Active Sky | Active Sky Next | XPAX Support ForumI tried presetting the visibility settings and it didn't help. With some experimenting I changed the cloud cover from 8/8 to 6/8. That gave me the same ambiance but some vision. Yeah, I like asn. Very professionally done. No more abrupt cloud changes. I can fly in overcast with enough fps for smooth flying. Couldn't do that with FS9. I'll be ordering within a couple of weeks. The $20 trade-in clinched it.

ASN Question
I just got FSX after using FS9 for about eight years. I have ASE but don't use it much because it doesn't do what I want so I'd like to see if ASN will. I'm on a trial and tried it out. It's really much better and will upgrade if it has this feature. I was able to fly in overcast and it was still smooth. I fly vfr only in GA aircraft. I like to see what's going on. But also I'd like to fly in current weather. This causes a conflict when I want to fly a particular flight plan and there is ifr conditions. What I'd like is to set it up so I can always see 10-15 nm around the aircraft regardless of weather conditions. That way I can fly in current weather and and still see. Not very realistic I know but that's what I'd like to do. So if this is possible, please answer within a few days so I can try it out during the trial. Thank you.

Minimum Surface Visability question
For FS9 ASEHow far up is the surface considered for this feature? 20 feet? 5000 feet? Can the vertical be changed? If I wanted a minimum visibility regardless of weather, clouds or fog up to 6000 feet high, is this possible?
-
Another question
If I set visibility in ASE at 60 but in the full FSUIPC is it possible to set visibility for different conditions (ie overcast) at 1000? Do they work together that way without a conflict? If so, in the sim, will it follow my FSUIPC settings or will everything be at the ASE 60?

Problem installing XGauge
For FS9I use win7 but the UAC is turned off so I have no problem with administrator rights. But there seems to be some problem with windows rights, something I'm not aware of (and I have no idea what this is) because it says I need to adjust windows security rights. Can you please help?

Questions about snapshots
For FS9. Just got the program.1. If I take snapshots that include ground textures with different shades of GEPRO, will the program use those or will it be necessary to also press the GEPRO button?2. Does the program use water textures in the snapshot? REX allows for darker thru lighter shades of water. Can those be used as well for different weather patterns?3. How long does it take for a snapshot to load?4. Can a snapshot be loaded after FS9 is running?Thank you.

Small bug
Hi, The Briefing Time flights has a conflict that causes an error when loading the flight. It is Briefing Time in the flight but 'Briefing Time' in the aircraft config. I fixed it for my program by simply removing the two ' but others might not know how so I thought you'd like to know about it.Rich

Two quick questions
That all sounds excellent. I will be getting it soon, not today though. Can't get both at the same time. Thank you.

Two quick questions
I did go ahead and get the Avenger pack for now. The B-25 when I get more funds probably in the next couple of weeks.Sure I know those sceneries aren't yours, they're freebies and you simply provide links. They look like a great addon for the Avenger and if you know how I can get them that would be appreciated.Btw, I downloaded the Langley relocation programs. Do you know of instructions anywhere for making additional areas?Oh, and 700 meg really isn't a large download anymore. I've download game demos with twice that number.

Two quick questions
Hi, I have the MAAM DC-3 and am looking to possibly purchase the Avenger and B-25 packages over the next month or two so I've been looking around the site.I noticed the Midway and Coral Sea links are dead. The Yanko link works but their links are dead. They all go to what looks like a Japanese site called Flight Info and I don't see any download links to the scenery. Also I was wondering if you will be offering the B-25 media disk as a download. It's only 700 meg and I much prefer that method. Thanks very much.

Manual
Wow, thanks. That was quick.

Manual
Hi I just got the DC-3 program and downloaded the manual. The videos don't work in the browser but work fine manually. Is there any way to get them to work properly? Thanks.

AS 6.5
I'm taking a look at this since everyone seems to rave about it. It's hard finding information and would be nice if there was a demo for a week or so. Or maybe a downloadable manual.I have FE and don't need the cloud/sky textures. Or do they still add something? Other than current weather, how does the weather engine work? Can it be accessed from modules or something inside fs9? Can weather simply be loaded into fs9 like FE loads textures? With the fs9 weather engine, let alone current weather, since I have FE, what does this add? I have weather maker and that seems like a nice program. But I'm asking a few questions (with a problem) on their forum and nobody seems to be around anymore to answer so I'd like to see what this has. Thanks for any info.
