VRinsight MCP Combo problem
I don't know how I missed that Andy. I think I was definitely having a senior moment today. I have got the system working using Linda at the moment which will probably give a bit more flexibility to change things.

VRinsight MCP Combo problem
Just an update Brian. It's working fine using LINDA. I must admit I have only skimmed the instructions so far I am probably too impatient. Now for a proper study then setup the Saitek Pro yoke and pedals. I wasn't sure if Linda.exe needed to be left running, but apparently not. It seems it's only used for configuration. On another note. At the moment I only have one Saitek throttle quadrant but need to setup for two engines. Can Linda do this. I have been plodding through the Angle of Attack tutorial (flyaoamedia.com) and all the setup there is using two throttle quadrants.

VRinsight MCP Combo problem
Thank's Brian I will give it a go. I presumed I had to install the VRinsight stuff so that the panel would communicate with FSX in the first place.

VRinsight MCP Combo problem
Having just returned to FSX and PMDG 737NGX I dug out a VRinsight MCP Combo I bought a while ago. Unfortunately this is the original and not the new version 2 Boeing type. I have installed the VRiSim software and the panel seems to be communicating with FSX ok but I am getting funny readings on the MCP display with 737NGX. Speed reads 000, Heading reads 090 and ALT reads 00300. This does not reflect the readings in FSX on the 737 panel. Adjusting the respective knobs on the panel does adjust the display readings within the 737NGX in FSX but the VRinsight display stays at the readings I have shown. They do appear to try and change but are instantly forced back to the above readings. I have PMDG 737NGX selected in VRiSim and all the buttons seem to work correctly. I tried the default FSX Boeing 737 and set VRiSim accordingly and that seems to work ok with displays and buttons. So the problem is only with the PMDG 737 by the looks of things. Any ideas?

Saitek Pro Panels
Yes I did a search and there were a few comments on the radio panel. I was more interested to see if anyone had used it with the JS41 yet.A recent chat with someone in the trade suggested the quality of the Saitek panels wasn't as good as it could be.

Saitek Pro Panels
I am using the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System. Does anyone know if the Saitek radio panel and possibly the Pro Flight multi panel will work with the J41. I am hoping that the radio panel would make frequency selection easier. I doubt the multi panel will work though as it looks like it has its own built in autopilot system. It's hard to find out enough information on these two products other than general reviews.

Zoom reset
I have just bought and installed J4100. I am starting to work my way through the tutorial. I notice on page 10 it says CTRL + SPACE should reset the view to it's original location and zoom factor. It seems to set the view back to the original but doesn't reset the zoom to it's original 0.50. Is this a bug, a missprint or have I got a setting wrong somewhere. Thanks.

Running FSX and FS9 on same PC
Thanks folks, the reassurances are much appreciated. I don't think I will partition though.

Running FSX and FS9 on same PC
Having returned to flight sim after around a 5 year break, I have installed FSX along with a few addons. 737, Airbus and 767 etc. I have a fairly well specced PC and seem to get the 20fps that it is preset to by default. However, I am sure this 20fps is acheived at a price and my visuals etc are suffering. This is not too bad flying at 30,000 feet when there isnt much to see. But as I am interested in general aviation as well, I thought installing FS2004 to use for that sort of thing. Is this a good idea? will they coexist happily. I bought FS2004 when it first came out, just didnt install it. I think what I am trying to do is find out what route people with more experience would take.

FSX and problem with Saitek Yoke/X52/Rudders
Boblister replied to Boblister's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcThank's Craig and other folk. This problem is still eluding me. I have tried everything mentioned short of a full re-install. It's not stopping me using the controllers, just inconvenient.

FSX and problem with Saitek Yoke/X52/Rudders
Boblister replied to Boblister's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI tried that and exactly the same. I get the very first Flight Sim flash screen for a second then desktop when any of the Saitek Pro gear is in. I might just do a full FS reinstall and see if that fixes it.

FSX and problem with Saitek Yoke/X52/Rudders
Boblister replied to Boblister's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI found it and deleted it. Let it rebuild another cfg. Then tried after just plugging rudders in. Same problem. I am starting to pull my hair out.Rob

FSX and problem with Saitek Yoke/X52/Rudders
I have a fairly new installation of FSX upgraded to SP1 running on Windows XP. This weekend I bough the new Saitek yoke as well as rudder pedals and an X52 stick. Whenever any of these items are plugged into the USB, FSX refuses to boot up. I get a quick flash as it tries then nothing. Remove them from the USB port and FSX starts fine. I can then plug them in and all is ok. Anyone any ideas?
