  1. Hi, Thanks for your responses today. Just looked into over clocking, but I don't think my motherboard is gear up for it very well. I have read on other forums that it is pretty much a waste of time. I tried all the same, and I can barely get anything more out of it before it crashes lots. Tried running FSX, and had a glance at my system monitor (something I hadn't done before), and it is running my CPU at 97%, so I'm guessing you are right. I think the only affective course of action is to bite the bullet and get a new CPU. Is the i5 the way to go? If so has anyone got any recommendations on a motherboard? Thanks again, Ben
  2. Hi guys, thanks for the responses.Bearing in mind I'm a bit of a novice at this, is there a simple way of me downloading my system specs so I can put it on here? I figured that you'd only need my motherboard, CPU and gpu. I have 4gb of ddr3 RAM too.I'll put my fsx specs on here once I'm home from work, but I was trying to run it on the medium settings. Reading up on it I'm guessing I need to check my AA settings. I'll see what they are tonight. Thanks,Ben
  3. Hi all,I've been struggling recently with really bad fps in fsx and assumed that my bottle neck was my graphics card. I was using a gforce 8800 gts, and was getting about 8-10 fps using pmdg's new ngx. A friend at work had an ATI 5970 lying about and said I could borrow it to see if that was the issue, and then buy it off him if it was.I installed it, along with a new power supply, and it has made no difference at all, still running at around 10fps. My processor is a quad core 6600 on a fatality fp9 board. All the latest drivers are installed. Where am I going wrong, or is this simply the best I'm going to get from this setup?Any help would be much appreciated.ThanksBen

No one needs the SDK to be able to use FS2crew. It is needed so they can build the program in the first place. It's all very well following check lists, but the 737 isn't certified to be flown by one person. FS2crew gives you a first officer which is far more realistic than flying it around by yourself. I have done a few test flights in mine, but won't be using it much until the FS2crew addon is released. That being said, it is fairly obvious that the team are trying to fix a few minor bugs still affecting users, not to mention the fact that some people haven been unable to activate it yet. I'm pretty sure they will want to get the NGX right and finalised before releasing the SDK. Ben Wing
  5. Scratch that - I've figured out a manual way of getting round it and it's working now. Thanks Ben Wing
  6. Hi all, Not sure if thisis a post for here or in the Vox ATC forum. HAs anyone managed to get this aircraft working with Vox ATC, as I am unable to update the panel config with the vox atc gauge. I have tried both manually and through the installer, and neither work. I seem to remember a couple of people saying they were going to use this with Vox ATC, so just curious if anyone else has had problems. Thanks Ben Wing
  7. I have Radar contact, but I bought Vox atc when I started flying for real to try and practice my radio calls. I'll be honest, I haven't actually used it for that purpose yet, but it seems to be more realistic than Radar Contact 4.The only frustration with it is I, like many other pilots, tend to abbreviate when talking on the radio, and Vox atc tends to get a bit upset when you tell it you are "reading you 5's"Ben W
  8. Hi,Have just bought a copy of Vox ATC, with UK enhancement and am having an issue. If I try and open the Flight plan editor it crashes straight away. I am running windows 7 64 bit - but the rest of the program works fine. It loads up in FSX, I can make calls, and all is well - it is only the flight plan editor that doesn't work. I have tried running the flight plan editor with XP compatibility and Vista compatibility, but still no joy.Can anyone help?ThanksBen
  9. Hi guys,Not sure if you can help me on this one. I've had a look through the forum and haven't seen anything on it. I am using FS2004 and when OTTO tells conrol that he is leaving the frequency to get weather, Flight sim crashes - in a fairly big way. This only seems to happen if I fly two flights in a row. The first flight is always fine, then on the return flight it always goes wrong. Is this a known bug with a fix, or is this something random that is happening to me?Any help will be appreciated,ThanksBen
