  1. You can also try moving your seat back by depressing and holding the "ctrl" key then taping the "enter" key 5-10 times. Be careful to not move it back too far as you lose ability of the control knobs. To move it back you again depress and hold the "ctrl" key then tap the "backspace" key.Maybe then you can adjust the zoom to .7 or possibly less. It is what I do. Best wishes! KRouner
  2. I wanted to take a moment to thank Matt, all the techs at PMDG, and especially Ryan for all the effort put forth on an issue I have. I will not go into details concerning that issue here. The purpose of this thread is to tell the PMDG Flight Sim community what type of people are working at PMDG. Ryan has worked hours trying to solve my problem, remoting in twice and spending, in one session, a marathon 4+ hours trying to find a solution. He is even going so far as to contact the maker of a piece of hardware on my system in an attempt to find a solution. This type of dedication and fortitude is the reason PMDG is what they are today, the best damn producer of sim airplanes on the market in my opinion. I own almost every aircraft PMDG has produced and have enjoyed every single one of them. To those of you who continue to complain about the release of the NGX, it is dedication, like what was shown to me, as to reason the NGX is not released. The PMDG staff will not release a product until they feel it is 100%. PMDG did not get their reputation for being one of the finest sim aircraft producers by releasing products that are not ready or that will need constant updates. So, to all the PMDG staff and again, to you Ryan, a big thanks and know that I will be the first in line to purchase the NGX, whether it is 07/04/2011 or 07/04/2021. I know it will be worth the wait and the product will not let me down. Sincerely,GRouner
  3. I ran across a simular issue with my GTX8800. My aircraft were turning completely silver, no texture at all. I was having problems with OOM and it was suggested that I add a "/3GB /Userva=2560" To my boot loader. It worked fine for a short while then almost all of the aircraft did the silver texture thing. Some were still normal. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled every FS program/add-on I had. Still the same. I reloaded my entire system and that is where I found my problem. After loading all the programs and everything was running as normal, I added the above mentioned switch. Everything went back to the original issue I was having. I removed the switch and all was working normal again except I still get the OOM on certain planes (PMDG) or airports (LAX) if I have the graphics/AI set too high. If you have added this switch or any part of this switch, try removing it and see what happens.Gene RounerXPS 720 DellIntel Core 2 Extreme CPU Q6850@3.04GB Memory144 GB storage & 500 GB StorageCreative X-Fi AudioNvidia GeForce 8800 GTXWindows XP Media
  4. Sam, I did what was suggested and I just flew a complete route from LAX to LAS without any OOM popping up! Incredible difference. I can't thank all of you enough!Gene
  5. I am on a 32bit system but you are writing to a novice. Sorry, but where do you want me to search for the 3GB switch, my system, the internet, this forum?
  6. Hello All!I fly the PMDG 747 a lot or should I say I atempt to. I receive on almost every flight the OOM. Can anyone suggest what my settings should be for my computer, video card, and FSX? I do have the OOM occasionally with other planes. This is very frustrating and never experienced on FS9. I thought when I bought this power machine my problems would end.My system is as follows;XPS 720 DellIntel Core 2 Extreme CPU Q6850@3.04GB Memory144 GB storage & 500 GB StorageCreative X-Fi AudioNvidia GeForce 8800 GTXI have all the recent updates that I can find. Any help would be greatly appreciated!GRouner
  7. I want to thank all of you for the great comments and suggestions concerning the issues with Wilco Pub. My main goal was to have as many simmers as possible notified of what kind of company Wilco Pub is. I hope I can save the Sim Community some heartache and money by allowing everyone to read about my own issues. I knew I would never get my money back so I wanted to do something, anything. If I have prevented one person from buying their product(s), than I have achieved at least one small goal. Again, thanks to all of you for your comments, suggestions, and support.Gene Rouner
  8. Yes, I did try the suggestion of using the installed Airac, completely uninstalled the program and reinstalled it numerious times, still with no positive results. As the email states, the Wilco tech did reproduce the problem but did not offer a solution nor time frame as to when a solution could be found.
  9. So, even though Wilco's representative did find a fault in the programing, by their own admission he stated he reproduced the problem, you are saying this would not fall under the "Satisfactory quality" as you described above? If this be the case, laws need to be changed to prevent this. While I am out $50.00 US dollars, according to the email I received from Mr. Goldman, they have sold thousands. How many of those are defective? Look at the money they have made. This is just the 777 program. What about the Tower program? If the laws won't protect the public then the public needs to protect themselves. Using the Forums to show what kind of business ethics companies use is a great way to inform the public of whom they possibly might have to deal with, or not. The best way to hurt a company is to take its income away. Hopefully, people will read messages such as this and think twice before purchasing any product(s) from people who won't support their own product.
  10. Thank you for educating me even more about Wilco's business practices and I do appreciate you keeping me in the loop concerning the outcome with the European Trading Standards and any other action taken against Wilco. If I can support your cause in any way please let me know.
  11. ________________________________________I recently purchased the download of Wilco's 777. I had immediate problems with the program and contacted Wilco support. I want to publish the correspondence between Wilco and myself and allow the public to see the customer service I received. Unfortunately, you will have to read from the bottom up.Mr. Goldman,Your sentence of "Unfortunately, we can make an exception for you only" is unclear but by your tone I am assuming you meant can't, correct? I also don't understand the line of "(if a fix is required)"? What does that mean? Your technician found the fault so how could a fix NOT be required. I am really happy that you have sold thousands of this product. Why this had to be told to me I will never know. I also know that every once in a while something happens in production and some of the product is sent out faulty. I purchased, in good faith, your product expecting it to work as all the other I have purchased from you. The product did not work properly. I asked for help from your company to fix the program. I received a reply from your technician that they have duplicated the problem but he doesn't know when it can be repaired. Because I could not use your product and there was no time frame as to when a fix could be rendered, I asked for a refund. I receive your email stating no refunds as per the policy I agreed to when I purchased your product. I again explain my position about your product and the events leading up to my request for a refund. I now receive this last email with the line "if a fix is required"? I don't appreciate the tone, insinuation, and general overall lack of customer service from Wilco. I am being forced to accept your decision since you already have my money and apparently don't feel the necessity to stand behind your product nor even consider doing the right thing. The only avenue I have left is to publish this correspondence between us on all the Forums I can and allow the public to view your idea of customer service. You need not bother with sending me a fix for the 777 as I am removing your program and I will no longer support any Wilco product. 12. Thanks for your input. I, too, have Call of Duty 4 and the machine is flawless when running it. The game really comes alive!
  13. Yes, I realize that but I was afraid of compatability issues with other programs I have and with all the negative press about Vista I wanted to wait until more updates were done. Even the Dell salesperson said I would be better off with XP.
  14. Hello Fellow Simmers!I finally upgraded my system to something of the 21st century, I bought the Dell 720, Quad 2 Extreme 6850@3.0 unclocked, 4gb RAM, Nvidia GeForce 8800GTX, Creative X-Fi sound, Windows XP, and a whole lot of storage. I was all excited to get this bad boy up and running and when I got FSX loaded up, well, let's just say I was a little disappointed in the FPS. I presumed with this much power that I could do anything. I run two 19" monitors and my FPS at LAX is 2-4. I have updated all the drivers I could. I have ultimate traffic installed along with PMDG 747, Level-D 767, Pilatus, and other add-on's. Can someone please help me with this issue? Thanks for your time!
  15. Did you set your video card or are you running the stock settings?
