  1. For those who upgraded iFly737 to Sp2.1 and FS2Crew to 1.3 and FS2Crew will not work any more...you need to uncheck FS2Crew in iFly Configuration Manager and then check it again.
  2. I have same sound card and have no sound from FS2Crew at all, and only from FS2Crew. Nothing I do seems to work. WIN7 64. FS9, and all other apps work correctly. Please help, is this a known problem with the product?
  3. Hi,New user to FS2Crew. Purchased product last night. Today I am confused. In the official trailer all seemed so...automated, which was what sold me on the product. Using the product today it would seem that there is quite a bit of input required from the human pilot. I read the manual. Question. Am I just being jittery and not letting FS2Crew do its thing, or by design it does require input from me at "Trigger" points? Please kindly clarify. Thank you.
  4. Hello...I am curious. I downloaded an old scenery for CYHZ. There are yellow taxi lines, the ones that lead to the gates. There are also original FS2004 taxiways that are visible. Tarmac looks chaotic. Is it possible to remove one of them?
  5. Currently FS2004 turns off AI traffic when in multiplayer mode. I would love to see AI traffic to remain active while in multiplayer mode, with an option to turn it off manually. Would somehting like that be possible?
  6. Thanks JD. I found that in my case the problem was with ASE. I disabled its messages and now can open and close the window.
  7. Tried as suggested in this post: http://forum.avsim.n...__1#entry662553. It works to close the window. No go to bring it back? :( I can bring the window back only by pressing 1, which in my case would call for clearance as I am parked at terminal. Any suggestions? Thank you.
  8. I think I found a solution that works for my set up anyways :) but no real answer why.The solution is I have to re-connect the network drives every time either laptop or fsx pc is turned off. After re-connecting drives problem goes away. Strange...but it works :) Hope it will work for you too. Cheers.
  9. I should add that both computers are on XP SP2. Today I found additional trigger. Shutting down and restarting FSX will cause lost connection. The only way I found to restore connection is to restart the computer running FSX. If some one knows how to fix this please let me know. Thank you.
  10. Hi, I am running FSX networked with my laptop. All was well for a very long time until recently. I noticed FSX developed a problem where it disconnects from my laptop. No error messages or notices of any kind. FSUIPC dependant addons run OK. Therefore it is safe to say the problem is once again with Simconnect. Diconnect happens when I crash for example. Still looking if other triggers exist. Is this a known issue? Thanks.
  11. Jim, You are right. Sorry. Good news. Just when I thought we were going crazy we got it working...on XP, the very 1st time we tried. Goes to show you...stay away from Vista, for now. Thanks everyone for your help. It has been interesting few long hours :)
  12. Thanks Jim.We tried it. We went as far as removing FSX, cleaning the registry, re-installing FSX with manual registry clean, applying SP1, SDK from DVD, SDK1a, the whole works on both pcs, using great post mentioned earlier as our guide. I am beginning to think that there is something wrong with how VISTA works XML, if it is at all possible to be an issue here? I have posted on another forum under CTD. I then did not suspect that .xml was causing the FSX crash problem. Then, I suspected the March 15th VISTA update that was installed on Vista pc?Suggested test with AI Traffic.exe from SDK package has not worked for us either. Sorry, I should have mentioned it earlier but at 2am I possibly foget a few more things to mention :)Can you please help with these questions:1. What are exact locations for .cfg, .xml, .ini files for Simconnect, on both VISTA(server) and XP(client) pcs? We were doubting it at 2am last night :)2. What are the directories on the server pc that must be accessible read/write to the client pc? 3. Should we install SP2 on FSX (server) and SKD SP2 on the client(XP)? Can it be that the problem is with VISTA/XP? Bu tthen why would FS, on VISTA crash becasue of .xml file?4. Is it possible to run simconnect on a wired network with same setting for simconnect as on a wireless netwrok, or will the settings have to be different? Currently pcs are hooked up via wireless Lynksys router, with port 500 set on forward to the server PC. We are really at a loss here. Being avid MS FS fans, using it since the very first "white sticks and green fields" version, frustrated like never before. Just about to pack it in with FSX and the whole Microsoft gang :). Any help at all is much, much appreciated.
  13. Thanks. Your suggestion was what made me pull my hair out lat night in a sense that I really hoped it would help, but it did not. I also noticed something strange. Simconnect.xml is causing FSX not to load past the splash screen and hang my server machine requiring on most occasions a hot reboot! I re-named simconnect file to .xm_ and FSX fires up in no time :). What can be wrong?
  14. FSX/Simconnect nightmare! Please help. SP1, SDK1AI have went up and down these forums with hope of finding an answer. My friend, who is not that computer savvy, is hoping to run Vista Home Premium for server and XP Home laptop for client. We spent last three days trying to install and reinstall and then reinstall some more. Nothing is working. - xPax error is saying "Sim Msg: Failed to connect - Please ensure FS is running". (FSX is runnnig when trying to connect)- I can not get the log to create via simconnect.ini. Does this mean server is not loading simconnect at all?We have RTM and SDK1A Simmconnect versions showing on both computers in Add/Remove. Windows WINSX directory has both simconnect versions on both computers. xml and cfg files are correect as per instructions. Firewalls are turned off. The last item we were not very sure about was the exact location for xml, cfg and ini files. Please tell us where to put the three files, exact locations for both operating sustems, please. Any other adive is most apprceaited. Thank you.
  15. Hello, In desperate need of help, advise. I have been running FSX since the day it first came out without any problems until March 15th, with SP1 and SP2. On March 15th Vista downloaded and installed latest Vista updates. Since then my FSX has not been the same. Since March 15th FSX hangs on load where it can not go past the splash screen. Tested up to 10 minutes. I know there are threads how to fix this - remove .cfg file, remove logbook.bin file. After letting FSX rebuild .cfg and logbook.bin files it loads ok. I am able to fly with no problems but then on exit it crashes again???!!! After it crashes on exit it will not load past the splash screen. So I am forced to delete the earlier mentioned files and start again. I should mention that while in between the crashes I do not use the logbook, I do not even recall how to activate it if there is an option to activate it ... lol.Crash on exit: sometimes FSX would appear to have closed ok but fsx.exe is still running in the Task Manager where it can not be "killed". Logging off does not help. Only re-boot works. Sometimes I am forced to "reset"/hot boot as Vista does not respond to the normal way. This part, crashing on exit sometimes so bad that only re-boot can fix it is the part I have not seen posted anywhere else. So I am wandering if any one else has been experiencing this, heard of this, has any tips? I really do not want to re-install FSX just yet. There has been no add on a/c, scenery or anything else installed. Interesting item. Right before the crash problems appeared, the very last time FSX loaded OK, my FPS jumped by about 100%. I was so happy I jacked up the sliders by about 25% without any hits on FPS. Flew around and then went to shut it down to see the first crash on exit. I am so no understanding what is going. Dxdiag is showing no errors. On exit crash I see fsx.exe AppHang message from Vista. My system (gaming PC, nothing else but games, kept clean)Vista Premium, clean install, was not an upgrade.2.4GHz Dual core (is it Q6600?) - was over clocked at 3.00 and ran smoothly. Since March 15th I put it back to 2.4 without help.Intel MB3GB RamXFX 8800GTS with I believe 650MB memory. Updated with latest nVidia drivers. Did not fix the problem. X-FI Sound BlasterThank you for any advise in advance.
