Try the Flight 1 registry repair tool. There's an issue with the registry that is preventing the computer from recognizing that FS9 is installed.

Hi all,I have been running fs9 with the PMDG 747-400 and 400F for years. I recently started having problems with the nav display and the CDU. While flying in LNAV VNAV mode, the aircraft would slowly fly off track, would not stay on the magenta line. The CDU was slow to react with the line select buttons. So something was up. I decided to uninstall the 400F first, then the 400. I rebooted the computer and started the reinstall with the 400 first. I went through the steps of validating and everything went well up until I clicked install. I got a pop up saying: unable to install,fs9 not installed. I could not clear the pop up, it would not go away. The only way to get rid of it was to CNTRL ALT DELET and log off. I am also running FSX with the 747 so I'm not completely out.any ideas? thanks for any inputDoug Morlan

Hi,for the past week, I have been unable to sign into PMDG. I updated my account with a new e-mail address about a year ago, and it was working fine. Last week I signed on and was going to purchase the 747-400 for FSX. When I went to check out, It displayed this: 500-internal error server. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for,and it can not be displayed. I can not sign on at all now, this error keeps poping up. does anyone have any ideas what this could be? Hi all, I would like to install FSX outside of Program files(x86)but I am having a problem doing that. When I install the first DVD from the gold edition, It doesn't give me the option of installing in a different location. It will only install it into program files (x86). It runs OK in this file until I start adding aircraft. The Captain sim 707-300 does not run well at all. EZCAM is also a problem, very jumpy. The A2A Cub runs great. My computer: C drive capacity is 691GB,free space with FSX removed,455GBsystem: vista 64 bitprocessor: intel®core2 quadcpu: q9450@2.66Hz 2.67GHZmemory: 4.00GBI have had this computer for about two and a half yrs and it runs great with fs9. Set FSX on its own drive if possible. There is an FSX setup guide that has been written by Nick N over at simforums.http://www.simforums.com/Forums/topic29041.htmlI have used the guide in the past and have had good results.

Hi all,I have had the CH yoke, peddles, and Throttle quadrant for about five years now, all working great.The other day I decided that I would try to tweak the prop levers since I recently purchased a small twin. And now all throttle levers are out of wack. Everything else works fine. It is only the levers that I cant get back. I have done countless calibrations,checked the sensitivities,and the null, but the throttle levers bump to mid position instantly when I move them. I am running these calibrations through the control manager. I'm lost, I am running fs9.any ideas? :Cry: Doug

Sorry Doug, but I never seen this before but now that you have these screenshots I would think someone will be along with the answer much sooner.As for the C++ 2005 and 2008 runtimes, don't worry, this doesn't look like it has anything to do with them.

Hey Doug, Again, what exactly is the error your getting? Either write down the error word for word or a screenshot would suffice. I just tried both airports and runways and was able to select 10L and no errors and SIDS were displayed without issue. Here's a screenshot I took at EGLL for 09R: Are you getting this error while parked and planning your route or when trying to enter it enroute? I'm thinking parked since you said SIDS & STARS. The only thing I can think of is to try a repair or reinstall, or install the latest C++ 2005 and 2008 runtimes for both 32bit and 64bit. Something else you could try is to load up the default Cessna with GPS 1000. See if it will load the runway and show SIDS.

Hi Dan,Thanks for the reply. I updated the PMDG FMC with AIRAC 1009. After I did this, There are a few airports that will display the error,{ runway err: 01R unknown } [for KSFO] on the route page. I am doing this on the ground. Everything was great before I updated the nav data. I have a 64 bit sys, Vista, that I have been running for a couple years now. No problems. I don't know what C++ 2005 and 2008 runtimes are. The airports that I am having trouble with are: KSFO,KAI TAK, ESSA, KSJC, KSEA, KJFK, EGLL, EHAM, EDDV. They all show only one runway that is in error, and due to the error, it will not give any SIDS OR STARS or runway data for those airports. I will attempt to attach a couple screen shots.

Hi Dan,Thanks, I just overwrote the existing files. Whats happening is that I am getting an error on only one runway for a selected number of airports. For example: KSFO has a runway error for 10L,EGLL has an error for 09R ETC. I went back to Navigraph web site and down loaded new airport files but that did not change anything. Due to the error, it will not display the airport or give SIDS STARS.Thanks for the reply!Doug

Hi Doug, Are you just installing the Navdata and letting it overwrite what's existing? Or are you removing the old manually before hand? I only ask since for some stupid reason when I first started with the Navdata I was manually deleting (long time ago :(). Not all of the Airports are updated with each cycle and some never get touched. Perhaps something went wrong at an earlier stage? I have never seen errors, but have seen them not in the database because I didn't have show smaller airports selected. If the Airac cycle has flaws though, I would let Navigraph know. Can you give an example of a runway that gives you an error? And what the error is? Maybe we can trace it down that way.

I just purchased Overland Incheon airport from simmarket. I am unable to understand the directions given in the read me. I have successfully installed it into the fs9 root folder It says to run "setuptool" which I don't understand. It is not a typical install. does anyone have an easier way of explaining the install process? Thanks Doug Morlan

Hi all, I just updated fs9 with 9.1. Everything seems to be ok except When I fly the PMDG 747, the nav display is erroneous. It randomly swings and doesn't show any movement while flying.There is no way to navigate. I am running Vista 64 bit. Is there anyone who has experienced this after the update? or any ideas how to fix it? Doug Morlan :(

I just purchased a new computer and I am using vista with fs9. Everything works great except for the 2d panels. Leveld and the Maddog.Certain insturments continuously flicker. I'm running a velocity micro intel®core2 quad cpu q9450 @2.66 ghz ram 4.0 GB 64 bit OS, and a nvidia 9800 512 MB. Any ideas on the flickering insturments? Thanks. Doug Morlan

Thanks for the reply, I reinstalled through PMDG. a little more information, when I engage the auto pilot L C or R, it displays that it is engaged by the CMD symbol on the ADI.But it Will not engage in any modes on the MCP, Vnav, Lnav,FLCH, or Vspd. Doug Morlan

I have a new computer that is running vista. I transfered my 747-400 PMDG from my old computer which had XP. Everything works fine except the auto pilot will not engage. It worked fine on XP. Any suggestions ? thanks.
