  1. HOAXOr maybe I am just a cynic but that does not sound like Mr Randazzo talking!Oh and it is R Randazzo... not SNice try! Well spotted Ben.I wasn't trying to create rumours or speculation, it was just that it appeared on their page and seemed to good to be true (for a while).Gary

  2. Hi to all.Robert, I have seached this forum but have not found any suggestion here about your comments on your Facebook page.Is this trueDear Customers! We are very happy, beacuse now we can announce a release date of 737NGX.The PMDG 737NGX is going to be released between 1st of July and 3rd of July.We think that it's not so far!:) Be patient! Cpt. S. Randazzo, PMDG team!Gary

  3. To all the PMDG team, You are all to be congratulated for not only what you have accomplished in putting together this aircraft for us but for putting up with the constant barrage of complaints as soon as you release an update for us.Rest assured, the majority of customers here on this forum, I am sure, salute you for what you are doing.Gary

  4. FSUIPC has already been mentioned but just to re-enforce what has been said, I have the Saitek yoke, throttle and rudder set up. I have all axis controlled through FSUIPC and have found that you get a better calibration and can set your own dead zones. All axis in FSX have been deleted to prevent conflicts. I actually find the feel of the Saitek products very good. Providing they are solidly mounted, they don't feel cheap and as I can't afford the high end 737 sim throttles currently on the market the ones I have will serve me well.

  5. I am just north of Alicante, Spain. It's going to be another hot one today. 42 degC yesterday (108 degF). It is dry heat but thank goodness for the pool - currently 26 degC (79 degF).Trouble is once the sim computers are on in my 'den' it get even warmer - we only have air con in the bedroom so it is the trusty old desk fan I'm afraid - still it does help simulate the wind noise from out side the cabin !

  6. Hi Tristan.I have read this post thread with great interest and thanks for bringing the overclocking subject up.I have no idea about OC but I have now registered with overclock.net and what a great site for information. It will take me ages to trawl through the many topics but for the likes of you and I that are new to this OC game this site is a must. They go into great detail about FBUS, CPU, RAM and GPU overclocking and voltages but more importantly about the different types of cooling required and why. Thanks buddy, we are all still on this great learning curve. Will I be able to cope with all this new information on OC and the NGX ?

  7. I have all my yoke, rudder and throttle settings controlled by FSUIPC. You can create your own 'dead zones' and end limits so much better than with FSX. Individual throttle settings and button assignments are easier as you have a larger variety of options. You can also set up and save your settings to individual aircraft.FSUIPC is the way forward.

  8. Very nice. One question though, I notice you can swap between white and orange digits on the 7 seg displays with the different MCP's. Do we have the same choice with the COMM, VHF, ADF and TCAS or are we just having the white ones ? Whilst it does not matter that much, it would be nice to have matching insruments. Cheers for the pics Vin.I posted the same question on your FB site but thought I would post it here too in order get more chance of a response.

  9. Robert, thanks for the update old bean. It is good to hear that you are getting on top of things now. Whats a few weeks after all. Hopefully, now, some of the more outspoken ones here that do not appreciate the efforts you guys are putting into this aircraft will keep quiet - for a while.Looking forward to the video's.Once this is all over, you blokes at the DEV team deserve a good long rest. Hopefully everyone will be to busy flying to worry about posting on here or Facebook !!Have a break and cut the hours to 17 a day - you deserve it.

  10. Kaman,No problem and credit where credit is due.I am in the process of building my own 737 800 cockpit so once I master the NGX you may well just come across me on the airwaves. I regularly fly from Schipol to Stansted (in FSX mode!!). I have used VOX in the past but it doesn't come any where near what I heard today.I have a Dutch friend here that likes to 'play' on my sim so I will invite him over to interpret the approach to Shipol when I am up and running.Cheers my friend.

  11. Great video and what a nice change to listen to proper conversation between control and pilot as opposed to the normal FSX traffic. I have signed up with VATSIM but never taken the plunge - yet. It might even make me dust off the cobwebs from the MD11 again and have another go - you seem to have mastered the piloting very well.Excellent stuff and your spec sure looks good.Thankyou for sharing that with us.

  12. Phillip,I had a similar problem when submitting a ticket to the re-download section a couple of days ago. It took me about five attempts to actually get it submitted and it took ages. I thought it was my internet connection so in a way I am glad someone else has had the same issues.Ryan, if you remember I submitted the ticket regarding the 747 400X and you replied via email. I didn't mention the problems as I thought it was me. It may be an issue your end. Interesting to see if others have experienced the same problem.

  13. Michael, thankyou for taking the time to do this. It is and will be very much appreciated by many of us here.I have the PMDG/Boeing manuals but a handy little booklet with flow/checklist will be handy to have beside me in the cockpit. I will need all the help I can get for my first flights as this beast will be nothing like the default 737 that I fly at present. As for Jacks comments about missed approaches, I wouldn't know either way but if it helps then put it in there - after all you are not trying to replicate a Boeing manual are you !!!

  14. Excellent tutorial Dan. Thanks for taking the time to do this, I and so many others will benefit from it.I have had PS for years and have still not got the hang of layers. I have never tried doing a re-paint job yet but now I will give it a shot. All I need to do now is re-install my PMDG 747 which has been missing since a complete computer overhaul - just hope I can find my registration details.Cheers again

  15. In the last two issues of PC Pilot, there has been an article on the up and coming Microsoft Flight.Microsoft have started from 'ground up' with this software and their focus will be on the 'universal appeal of the experience of Flight' They said that they are not ready yet to expand on the 'gameplay' aspect of Flight.I run FSX and I am content with my set up and frame rates. Will Flight be any better - yes I am sure it will. Will I change to Flight - probably - one day. 'Flight' will be aimed at both 'gamers' and flight sim enthusiasts with the ability to 'play' as Microsoft put it, either on line or stand alone.I am building my 737 cockpit so 'gaming' does not appeal to me. I started on FS 2002, changed to FS9 and will stay with FSX for quite some considerable time as it is the best there is for what I want. Each and everyone of us is rightly entitled to their own opinions when it comes to which brand and model of a particular sim to use.Embrace progress but do not knock what we have still got. At the end of the day, if it wasn't for FS9 or FSX then we probably wouldn't have the progress onto MS Flight.

  16. Hi all. There has been a recent post on PMDG's Facebook by one of the testers - George. He outlines, I think, reasons why PMDG haven't released the beast yet. I strongly believe that the team at PMDG want the release to be flawless and if you read Georges post, you will see what I mean. I was going to paste it here but I am not too sure whether I should do that.Have a look and you may then understand just what is going on behind the scenes.PMDG, this is not meant in any way as a critisim by me and I hope that the post in Facebook is genuine.

  17. Hi Phil.Sorry to hear of your situation but like the rest of those on this forum, I hope all goes well for you during your surgery and in the near future. Make sure nurse Florence looks after you and like Zebedee, you spring back to good health.Kinds regardsGary

  18. Thanks Robert. That was a well timed update and it is good that you are keeping us informed. When you consider the amount of traffic that has been witnessed recently on these forums, it is no wonder that there have not been updates recently - it takes me ages to wade through some of the unnecessary postings and you have more pressing things to do than do the same.It is so nice to read all the positive remarks on this thread.Looking forward to the video.Keep up the good and hard work. It is and will be appreciated by us all.

  19. Goes well with lardons, potatoes and walnut oil dressing or if entertaining try it with a pancetta risotto with black truffle and parmesan shavings. William, Thats the funniest thing I have read so far on this thread - good one. There has been so much negativity up to now, that was really refreshing. Nice to know there is still some humanity here still instead of the bish bash bosh that I am tired of reading through to get to the last page.+1

  20. Dario.I still have much work to do yet regarding the outer framework so I can get the overhead mounted and the throttle quadrant needs to be sourced. Apart from the bought panels and modules, I have made everything myself.
