  1. Gnagnagna. That means: no real weather for the next four months... what a pity.Well, thanks anyway.RegardsVitus
  2. Maybe I am the only one who tries to connect via a proxy!? ;-)Anyway... Can't I just download the actual weather somewhere and install it manually?RegardsVitus
  3. Hello again, triple checked it.Seems that you haven't got a clue, eh? ;-)RegardsVitus
  4. As I wrote, the same setting works fine with the browsers (IE and Firefox). I just use the Windows Firewall, I set up the "exception" for the XEngine and even if I switch of the firewall, the download failed.RegardsVitus
  5. Aye, the lines are in the ASX.cfg file. And when starting ASX the foloowing lines are shown:11:35:36: Proxy server configuration specified, using server: alb-cache.massey.ac.nz:808011:35:36: Download failureAny ideas?RegardsVitus
  6. Good morning,The proxy section says:ProxyServerAddress = alb-cache.massey.ac.nz:8080ProxyServerUserName = ProxyServerPassword = The same as the settings in the browser.RegardsVitus
  7. Hello again, well, it worked before, as I was at home in Germany and had my direct broadband connection. Now I am in New Zealand and have to connect via the proxy server.I am sure that the reason is something about this proxy connection. But as stated before: the strange thing is, that everything else works with this setting just fine. I can use my browser, Outlook and even programs like Google Earth, without any further adjustments. ASX shows the homepage in the main window, but don't want to download the weather.Maybe it is because the weather in New Zealand is so bad at this time, and the program just don't like it? ;-)I have three months left here in NZ, after that, it won't matter any longer, as I will be back home. So, if we don't find a solution, I will be fine if I could download the metars directly and install it manually (if possible)...best regardsVitus
  8. Hicorrect, I use the proxy information from the browser. No, never worked in this configuration.regards Vitus
  9. Aye! I tried everything with different configurations. Full detail, no credentials, with the proxy port (in this case 8080), without any proxy configuration, ...Still the same...regardsVitus
  10. Yip, double checked it.It could possibly be the proxy server over which I have to connect. The strange thing is, that the web page is shown correctly...
  11. Hello again,I also tried to reinstall the program (including SP3) - same result. Start page is shown but the download fails.regardsVitus
  12. Hi Jim,thanks for the reply. Yes, ASX is set to force real time. I double checked it with Antivir and firewall switched off. Same result.Maybe the port is blocked by the network? So which port does ASX use for communicating, or does it use http for the download?regardsVitus
  13. Hi there,I have a problem with ASX SP3: I can't download any weather. During startup the main screen posts the following:17:15:31: Logging Initialized17:15:31: XEngine v1.0.0.332 Copyright
