I know that. Thanks anyway 🙂
I am a bit confused about "497" drivers people are suggesting though.. on that list the last game ready driver is "472.12". Huh?

It probably depends which GPU one has. Folks with RTX 30xx have good experience. I have 2080 Ti. Maybe it has something to do with that since I didn't change anything and I went from smooth to not smooth at all.

3 minutes ago, psolk said:511.23 have been great here. If you have a C:/Nvidia directory you should have a folder for the last driver installed as well to see what the prior driver was.
I usually take a quick peak at system information within the driver to get the version before upgrading just in case I decide to roll back.
No, I don't have this folder.
You have 2080Ti?

After a long time I decided to update drivers.
I get terrible stutters with this one. Of course, I forgot which one I had installed before.
Good times.
Anybody else with the 2080Ti having same experience? Which driver do you use? I need a replacement now.

This product should be called REX Real Global Ground Textures... calling it Airport textures is a bit misleading.

Number of users doesn't tell a lot (specially with those game passes and all that). How much time an average user on each platform spends in the sim would be much more relevant information.

No A2A or Accu-sim in MSFS though.

Is the mod compatible with SU6?

I'm now experiencing smoothness I was dreaming about for 20 years of simming. Till now whenever I got a computer that was able to run the sim somehow smooth, new version of the sim was released and back to low FPS stutterfest. I'm really happy with MSFS!

Didn't MSFS ask you in which folder to install the update?

Does this mean I will forever have A32NX listed under "Not installed" in the Content manager?
-
It's probably due to a vast number of changes that every update introduces but they do break an unusual number of things with every update. What makes all of it even more strange is that most of the new bugs are very obvious and is quite a headscratcher how they "slipped" through beta.

So installing Xbox app is mandatory for getting the updates from now on?

Why do I need an Xbox app if I don't have an Xbox?

For those who don't see any performance hit.. do you lock the frames?
-
Never even thought for a second of turning it off.

And why should anyone worry about what I decide I want: better visuals over some loss in FPS or vice versa?
Weird. I always thought options where good. That one size does not fit all.
Why do you think anyone would be sad to be able to decide what they want out of a video game? It won't affect you if I use medium, high, or ultra, or even low, but it did affected me and others when we didn't have this slider option.
Luckily, now we have more options. More options does not take anything away from anyone, but less options do. Sometimes we have to look outside the box.
Nothing wrong with options at all.
I just think many over-reacted over this issue and the visual "downgrades" with this popping business is so minimal compared to FPS gains and many will gladly take the performance increase over the occasional pop-in in my opinion. I will. That's all.

As far as I know there wasn't any off screen terrain pre-caching before... so, it's probably Ultra.

Just now, MarcG said:It's much more noticeable in certain conditions with VR, even turning my head slowly can see some pop in, so I'll welcome a slight decrease in performance with a higher setting personally.
Ok, I wasn't thinking about VR. I agree, VR is going to benefit greatly from this setting.

I wonder how many of those who complain so much about scenery popping right now will sacrifice all those performance gains we got now for that brief, almost unnoticeable scenery pop-in when turning the head very quickly. This whole thing sounded much worse in theory than it is in practice. I use TrackIR and don't notice this issue at all anymore! I'm for sure staying with the "Medium" setting.

Out of curiosity, where is this from and what time of day? I'd like to check it out myself, I also see you have some multiplayer users in your traffic too.
I had it on for months and I've seen maybe two takeoffs and one landing.

I am using the free version and I like it, it does what I need it to do. At first I did plan to use the Premium version but I changed my mind because there really isn't much added value to justify the subscription, no matter how low the price is. If there would be a one time purchase price, it would be an instant buy for me but the subscription model needs to provide much more then it does now. There aren't even all the functions available in MSFS.

They were mentioned a couple of times in this thread. Also, if you Google them, they actually exist (on Guru3d)!
