  1. With Fly Tampa doing CYYZ and this project taking so long I doubt this will be the "go to" CYYZ.

Yeah, I can only see myself purchasing this if it happens to come out before FlyTampa have their version out. Although if FlyTampa officially announce Toronto and this comes out, I will most likely just hold out for the FlyTampa version. You can bet that FT's will definately be a step above Orxy's (no offence).

  2. Thanks Ryan,

it´s probably not necessary on a T7 to draw a magenta 2 miles final visual approach ;) Anyway, hope you are still planning to work a SP2 for the NGX which includes these features because it´s a daily used feature!

You can just use the RX (Runway Extension) feature in the DEP/ARR page?

  3. Yes!!!  I actually referenced that in recording #2 last night, but didn't mention it the last time for some reason.  One of the rampies I supervised tried telling me that the lights have some type of super harmful radiation.  I was like "other than being super bright, it's no worse than glancing up at the sun for a few seconds; you're right though - they should have been off.  I'll talk to the crew."

Should turn the WXR on and point it down...Then he will know what super harmful radiation feels like (Although most are locked from radiating when weight on wheels is detected).

  4. Can you tell me guys how long will it be possible for these filghts and the max pax/fuel load for those 2 please ? EGLL-TKPK and TFFR-LFPO ?

    Both flights planned at max payload (ZFW: 209t) using todays GRIB data (weather) and no alternates (which is probably against the fuel rules of the registration of a/c). Also using ETOPS330;

    EGLL-TKPK | TTL EET: 7hr47min | FUEL: 65.2t

    TFFR-LFPO | TTL EET: 7hr53min | FUEL : 63.2t

  5. Also bear in mind the usual manufactured media outrage every time a GTA game is released. Just recently the Australian authorities refused to give a classification to Saints Row 4 (a very successful GTA clone) which means it can't be sold in Australia.

Yep, and we had a modified GTA 4 aswell. Patches which came a year or so after the game was released allowed us to actually complete all the missions which world versions already had..ACB is a punish.

  6. I am referring to DTO to a waypoint already on my flightplan. Highlighting the waypoint and clicking DTO does not change the flightplan, but instead brings up a submenu theoretically allowing me to choose a random waypoint.

The problem with this is that is seems to skip every other letter in the alphabet. In other words, it goes from B to D to F...

Yeah, as Bert said, the G1000 is modelled crap by Carenado.

In reality you would highlight the waypoint and click the DTO button. It would go direct then continue by the plan in the G1000.

Try highlighting, clicking MENU, then activate leg. In reality, it would not go direct by doing it this way, but in the Carenado it might do :He He:

  7. thank you.

But concerning my first question...I still did not get it.

Okay, say there is an active 3000ft altitude constraint.

One range ring indicates where your latest chance of descending using no drag devices is.

The other range ring indicates where your latest chance of descending using drag devices is.

  8.   Does TCAS negotiation works at

Nope. The transponders are not interrogating each other so it is highly possible both will get a descend or climb RA... Resulting in a virtual disaster similar to that of DHL & Bashkirian accident over Switzerland in '02.

Maybe the new pilot client can introduce something cool able to use the PMDG SDK.

  9. Oh, and by the way Kyle, loved your mini-rant on deleting the VECTORS out of the LEGS page.

Remind me next time your controlling and I'll provide you some relief with a properly flown CAPTL8 departure (A scenic flight past the White House would also be welcomed) :P B)

  10. Hello

can you answer please theese questions?

    1) What are the blue and white rotaing rngs on the EHSI for?

    2) Does the 777 start engine with packs on? Also with dual engine start?

    3) what do the blue arrows next to airports on the EHSI mean?

    4) I saw in a video that the DING DONG messages like "CABIN READY" are announced. Are there more messages like "NO MOBILE".

Do the pilots cancel the messages or will they go after a certain time?

    5) What do the white boxes on the upper EICAS mean next to the EICAS Caution messages. Some of the messages have some don`t have a white box at the beginning.

    Thanks for help.

    Hi,

First of all please sign your full name per this thread.

Now while most your questions can be found by simple search, since I am such a nice human being, and I need some wrist exercise, I will answer your questions.

    1) They are from the OFFPATH DES page. The two circles provide the direct-to distance from the aircraft to the computed top-of-descent point at the current altitude for a full speed brake idle AND clean (no flap, gear, speedbrake etc.) descent.

    2) I believe the APU is able to provide enough air to start two engines at once, however due to size of the GE90, SOP's usually dicate to start 1 at a time to reduce the chance of 2 hung starts.

    3) If you are referring to blue arrows pointing towards airport, they are set up on the ALTN page and point towards the airports with a distance to such said airports

    4) The CABIN READY message, along with messages like PASSENGER SIGNS are white on the EICAS. White messages will not dissapear with a press of CNL button on the DCP.

    5) I am not sure what you are referring to in this question so cannot answer.

Hope this helps, but next time remember to search first :P

  11. Hello!

I´m so happy that i can fly the awesome PMDG 777-200LR soon. My dream is to flying from Cologne-Bonn (EDDK) to Brisbane international Airport in australia NON-STOP (about 16167 KM) ! Is it possible to fly this route with about 301 passengers and headwind?

Theoretical, i could fly a range of about 17400 KM with full Pax and cargo, right?

Just ran it through, and with 301PAX, 4500KG worth of cargo (Cargo + Baggage), and no planned alternate you could make it (RAMP FUEL of 134300KG's, with a total flight time of 18 hours 1 minute [1801]).

    Initial altitude of F230...definately heavy.

Route I ran had a tailwind component of 11kts today and was a 2% increase from great-circle direct.

I think you could make it B) :P

  12. Navigraph charts are identical to Navtech charts which some airlines use - Finnair comes to mind (I am sure there are a lot more).

But yeah, as I mentioned in a thread in the FSX forum, I much prefer to use my iPad with a licensed copy of JeppFD. I just wish Jeppesen would allow me to slave my FS position so I could use the georefrenced charts and have my position displayed on the charts by an arrow.

  13. I'm a little bit shamed to ask this, as this should have been discussed milions of times (didn't have luck with the search function). Is there any info on what engine variant is the 777-200LR going to be equipped with. As far as I know. There are two options, GE 90-110B1 and GE90-115B1. Are both variants available? And regarding capacity, the worldliner has three optional auxiliary fuel tanks in the baggage compartments, are them present on this simulation? How much range do that auxiliary fuel tanks add to the basic 777-200LR range.

    Hi Camilo,

I can't answer your questions regarding icing and weight on wheels with brakes etc., however I can answer your question regarding engines and aux fuel tanks.

The PMDG 200LR will come with the 110B1's (110k lbs thrust). They found that most 200LR's are using the 110 model, and most likely the aircraft they got their data from was fitted with 110's.

The Aux fuel tanks are available. There was a screenshot of the CDU with the AUX FUEL TANK option (set to 3 in that particular picture). Can't seem to locate the photo now (Also might be shown in Kyle's 2 hour video, but I haven't got around to watching it yet).

  14. A lot of people think taxi and landing lights are these super bright things that illuminate the ground for a mile ahead of the aircraft or something like that - they aren't, they're quite dim actually in real life.

Don't tell the ground handlers that... You never hear the end of it when aircraft taxi on to the bay with the taxi light still on... Whinge whinge ''My eyes!!!''... lol
