Hello all, i have the Logitech Extreme 3d Pro running on windows 7 64-bit, and a few days ago i noticed when i use the POV knob for FSX it is quite choppy when the camera moves around. I also have a Saitek Pro Flight yoke with a POV knob and it does not do this. Any ideas on how to fix it?

hopefully microsoft learned after the releases of fsx, vista, and the xbox 360, people would rather wait a year for a good product then have it rushed out unfinished.

well i dont think that a new gpu would help you in this game that much but in other games it would ( i suggest 1gb gtx 460 and oc'ing it). AS for your fsx settings you are running intense scenery, full ai traffic, and high end environment settings at 1920x1200. Even though that is an amazing rig fsx wasnt really designed for the future so i doubt having 6 cores over 4 cores would make a noticeable difference. But that is just what i am assuming, fsx isnt a huge benchmarking game due to it being dx9 and made a few years back. Maybe someone with more knowledge on fsx with new hardware could be more of assistance :P

they arent my only two options but they are the only 2 im interested in. Considering i am building a new rig with the 1050t most likely at the end of this year and this will just become a normal home computer, i will go with phenom II dual core. i would only oc the 635 to 3.2 ghz so it wouldnt be that much of a difference. Right now my cpu is bottle necking my performance so either one i will be an upgrade. Do you think that the dual core would give a notable performance increase over the quad in fsx?(since it doesnt, as far as i know, use all 4 cores and is cpu based)

Would you see the same performance in other games with a 3.8 dual core w/ l3 cache and a 2.9 quad core with 2mb of l2 cache? and which would be better for fsx?

i would like to play on medium(ish) settings. I do have a am3/am2+ board(gigabyte 785g...highly rated/reviewed one, forgot model). I dropped an ahtlon II X4 635 2.9 quad in to it without any bios updates at all(tested it while i waiting for other parts on a client build). The 635 gave amazing performance at $99, but would the phenom II 555 be a better choice?

hello all,i am currently running on an AMD Phenom 9500 2.2 quad core cpu but i would like to upgrade. I was wondering what would be better for me to upgrade to, the Phenom II X2 555(i would overclock to 3.6-3.8 dual core, no unlocking extra cores) or an Athlon II X4 635 2.9 quad core(no oc)? I would be playing FSX for my flight simulator choice but do keep in mind i play many other games aswell(just cause 2, starcraft II, mw2 etc). I have a new GTX 460 graphics card, 4gb of ddr2 RAM, and 2x 320gb hdd so the only thing i really need(want) to upgrade is my processor. As for FSX i love my ai traffic and must have it at 100% :Big Grin:

I havent reinstalled it yet, and the solution from fsinsider you posted doesnt seem to work. What am i doing wrong?

well thats the problem. It's that i have or cannot find the fsx.exeis there anyway somone can send it to me or would that be illegal or are they different for each fsx copy?

Hi everyone, i have a problem starting FSX. I recently uninstalled and reinstalled FSX and it was running fine. I went to go install the service packs available and forgot to uninstall them from the previous fsx i just uninstalled. So i uninstalled sp1 and sp2 and installed sp1 on the reinstalled fsx but when i tried sp2 it said i need the english version of fsx to use the english sp2 and i have english for both. Then i just left it alone after downloading sp2 3 times and launched fsx and this came up after double clicking th fsx destop shortcut "the item 'fsx.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved , so this shortcut will no longer work properly." So then i check the FSX folder and fsx.exe isnt there anywhere in the folder. What do i do?

Hello everyone. I downloaded the "Beechcraft King Air 350 Complete with Tower Gauges (http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...t&Go=Search)package from Henry McCabe & Shaun Donnely and I cant see any tower info. I also cannot contact either of them as the email in the readme doesnt exist according to yahoo. Do i need to have the deluxe version to use this? Uf so can some one send me the guages needed to be tower for this?
