  1. Would anyone be willing to share their SP-177 v1.4 config file which has the corrections implemented as well as the ISG FMS and RealityXP WXR500 already embedded? This is something I feel would be very helpful to the Tinmouse community if someone would be so kind as to post it up. Thank you!
  2. Hey guys, hope this is an appropriate place to post. I just got a 15" 2.2GHz i7 Macbook Pro (Early 2011 model). Naturally, I'll be setting up bootcamp with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit to run FSX and all my aircraft (including, my future NGX). Any suggestions from you fellow pilots as to how to best optimize my setup so as to have the best performance possible? Thanks in advance for your help!
  3. So I'm better off with a 3.0GHz dual core processor than say a 2.8GHz 4 core processor? Or are the differences negligible enough that I'm better off with the 4 cores? And how about RAM, I'm assuming the more the merrier? Video card wise, 1GB NVIDIA is plenty or should I look for more? I was looking at the ASUS G74SX, is that just a waste of money since it's geared toward GPU intensive games? Keep the recommendations coming in please! I haven't been able to experience the wonders of FSX and with the PMDG 737NGX, I want to run FSX with this beautiful plane and amazing addon scenery and weather to go with it.
  4. Ok guys, Christmas time is coming soon and I'm planning to give myself the gift of a new laptop to finally fly FSX! I know, PCs are better but due to other reasons, I need to get a laptop (Mac or Windows I don't care). Ideally, I would want to spend around $1000 for it.From what I've read, I'm better off with a higher clock speed CPU than trying to get more cores correct? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  5. Solved the problem. Believe it or not, it had something to do with FSUIPC. I uninstalled and reinstalled Squawkbox and everything's fine. Thanks everyone for your help!
  6. The only thing I did was install the AES 2.0 beta. After that, FSUIPC needed to be reinstalled since Squawkbox couldn't find it. I wonder if that's the cause of this as well. Unfortunately, I have System Restore turned off since (I thought) it was a waste of HD space. Maybe I'll turn it on so something like this doesn't happen again.Anyone else have any hints?
  7. Windows XP 32 bitNVIDIA 8400M GS Video CardHP Pavilion dv6000 laptopKeep in mind, FS9 has been running just fine on this until now when I started FS9 to do a flight and was greeted by this error.
  8. Tom,Thank you for your prompt reply. However, 1. I tried deleting my FS9.CFG and 2. I did not change my video card. Either way, still getting the error :/
  9. My video card and all drivers are set up properly. However, whenever I start FS9 it tells me about it using Software 3D and not Hardware Acceleration. In addition, when I go into FS9's display settings, it does not let me choose a device from the dropdown list. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this/
  10. Anyone? This error is so annoying and I really want to use FSX!
  11. I followed your suggestion and still Error 1722 :/
  12. No luck, still getting error 1722.
  13. Alright this time instead of getting error 1935, I get error 1722 There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package at (I believe) the same point I would normally get error 1935.
  14. Jim,Unfortunately, I have uninstalled, used a registry cleaner, deleted all traces of the value FSX in my registry and my harddrive and then reinstalled only to receive the same error time and time again. I'm really at a loss and am extremely disappointed because I cannot install my addons until the service packs are installed.
  15. I put in the FSX disc and it wanted to do a brand new install. And I used the FSX Registry Repair Utility from TweakFS and Flight1 and both didn't work.
  16. Ok, so when I installed FSX, I got an error 1935 to which I did CTRL+ALT+DEL out of the install, and downloaded the msxm4.manifest file. However, now when I go to install SP1, I get the following error, "This service pack requires the original release of Flight Simulator X. Please install Flight Simulator X and then start SP1 installation again." Can anyone help me out?
  17. Any new updates in store for the Tinmouse? Last I heard, the machine arrived from Chile in December and I'm excited to see something new come for this old bird :)
  18. That's awesome! I would love to have this panel.
  19. I did a clean install of the Tinmouse and downloaded and installed all of the files (in order) according to the TinMouse FAQ. However, now when I start FS9, I get an error about fssound.dll and TCAS2v7.dll being incompatible or something to that effect and when I try to load the TinMouse it says: Flight Simulator was unable to load the following: B732ADV.gauCan anyone help me out? Thanks
