  1. Bjoern, good idea. But don't have 'em! Do you have them?
  2. Investdude, thanks for your answer! What you mentioned is very clear to me - but I need that CHARTS!!! I spent a lot of time to get them out of the net but there seems to be no source available.
  3. Allright - but what about the takeoff distance as a function of wind, temperature, pressure etc.?
  4. Thanks for your reply. Ok - forget the FLEX calculations. But you need some more data (than on this graph on page 108) to calculate a takeoff.
  5. Dear friends, I've set up the Tinmouse 1.40 for FSX the last days and now have a well equipment and lovely old lady. Everthing works and it's a pleasure flying the old style (steam gauges, old nav and comm dials, CIVA INS and so on). I also found out the Tinmouse reacts quite realistically the the FSX triggered failures (more realism). For a serious simmer it's important to have good information for flightplanning. I think that's given by the 737 reference htmls and the FSBuild performance data included in the package. But there's one thing missing: Takeoff performance charts! Ok,it's good to know V1, Vr and V2 in relation to TOW. But I need to know how much is the needed take off distance under changing environmental circumstances (V1 also is dependent on these values). And it would really cool to be able to calculate FLEX temperatures for reduced thrust takeoffs. Within the package are 3 original Aircraft documents nearly 1000 pages. But as far as I can see there are no performance charts included. So does anbody could give me a source where I could get or buy 737-200 performance data. Especially for real life takeoff calculations? Thanks in advance!
  6. Long time ago you posted these problems - but here's a short update: Found a solution in the CIVA INS forum and tested it with success. You don't have to delete the *.lds files in the CIVA folder. If the API doesn't count below "65" just enter the ramp position again and follow excatly the insertation process (LAT then INSERT (INSERT light doesn't extinguish), LON then insert (INSERT light extinguishes)). Watch the alignment proceeding.
  7. Hallo guys, does anyone use the Tinmouse and FSPassengersX on a regular base? I'm using v1.40 in FSX and want to add some more realism. My basic question is: Does the failure generator of FSPX work in a accepable manner with the Tinmouse? The panel brings some complex system simulation and for me it's not quite clear what happens if FSPX triggers an engine fire, stucked landing gear, brakes failure etc. And are there any oddities with loading the plane via FSPX? Thanks in advance for your answers! Denis
  8. Thanks very much for the hint with the vistalizator. Seems to work now!
  9. Hi there, I owned a german Win7 64bit home premium OS. Today I tried to switch the voice recognition to english for using it with VoxATC. Now I've got the information one will get language packs (MUIs) only for the ultimate versions. So is there no chance for me to switch to english voice recognition? This means I'm f**ked up with VoxATC? Can't imagine VoxATC runs smooth with german voice rec. Thanks in advance for any good advice!
  10. Another question: I'm going to use the Level-D 767 database of navigraph for the VoxATC SID and STAR useage. Will VoxATC only use the SIDs and STARs of this database or will it also use the updated navaids, intersections, airways etc.?
  11. Ok, but my concern is especially with rw charts and VoxATC.
  12. Thanks for your fast reply. I've read the readme file of the navaid update thing from http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids.html. I think in general it's a good approach for updating the FSX database. But there are some quirks making it difficult in combination with VoxATC (for exmaple the airways are not updated and the consequence will be some serious inconstistence). Maybe for me an interim solution will be not to use real world maps but Flight Sim Commander which shows the FSX database. So at least I have a synchronised basis of FSX-VoxATC-MAP. Any experience with this topic out there? Thx Denis
  13. Hi guys, did I get the right: VoxATC reads the FSX database via the indexer (including all the airports, navaids, intersections, airways etc.)? So when I use real world maps (US ICAO VFR charts) sooner or later I'll get some trouble because the FSX database (=VoxATC database) is quite outdated. I'm I right? As far as I know the FSX database can't be updated. Did anybody of you encounter problems with VoxATC and real world maps? Thx in advance! Denis
  14. Guys, I've bought them a long time ago at simmarket but I don't have any backups or s.th. else. Besides Georender Scenery Collection DVD (just few of the georender sceneries) you can't buy them any more. Yes, you're right: I don't want to download them illegaly. I'll try to contact the guys who created or published the pieces. Just wanted to ask if anybody had success getting them legally the last years? Denis
  15. Hi there, some years ago I've purchased all the georender sceneries (Rangers creek, Flying M, Darringtin, Forks, Strom, Sultan, Orcas Island and so) on simmarket and enjoyed it very much. Then there came FSX with all it's new possibilitys and it's squirks. Today I like to go back to the good old stuff and it's very special and detailled touch. I bought the Georender Scenery Collection and Emma Field on cd. But I'm missing all the other stuff. Simmarket can't provide me the old files, ther're no cds to buy. And I don't want to download the filles illegally. So guys - is there any place or person to provide me with the georender sceneries? I would pay the orignal price for these pieces. Can't accept it's gone forever in my FS9 installation. Thanks a lot in advance! Denis
  16. Thanks Akila, think I've got it.It seems to be clear that the "standard" airspace structure of FSX is out of date or never was quite consistent. It's not the fault of VoxAtc but looking at this background it can't provide what I'm looking for.Flying IFR with VoxAtc seems to be a quite stable affair. But VoxAtc and VFR and non-US lower airspace is not so "funny". I think a simulation lives from a fundament of stability and cohesion. In this case VoxAtc has to act confusing (FSX airspace structure) and that's frustrating.Does anybody out there use VoxAtc VFR-wise and has success? Is there a way to over come these problems?Don't get me wrong - VoxAtc is a complex and ambitious piece of work. I only want to find my personal limit with it.ThanksDenis
  17. Guys,I've used VA 6 for some time but never intensively. Now I've to decide if I'll give it a new try on my freshly setup of FSX.My current installation is optimized for cruising around southern germany and switzerland with the aerosoft katana 4x. That means the most time I fly under VFR. Now I've got a set of ICAO charts for this region for the most possible immersion. My question is: Where does VA get it's airspace structure from? Is it read out of the FSX structure (which is not the real deal) or is it possible to get VA to use an actual and more complete and logical airspace structure. For me it would be a very interesting and educational experience to use the real charts and procedures with VA.As I said before I used VA some time ago. But I remembered some situations that confused me concerning the airspace and where and when I had to call which controller and so on. Don't get me wrong - I have a good idea of ATC communications but sometimes I wasn't sure if the charts and the VA airspace structure/database fit together.Sorry for my bad english - I hope you get the point.Maybe somebody could just explain me where VA get's it's airspaces from and if they are consistent with the (more or less updated) VFR charts. Otherwise VA it doesn't make so much sense for me. In this case it's better to call the FSX ATC and "imagine" all the things missing there. :Hypnotized:Thanks in advanceDenis
  18. Dan,I'm quite sure there's no need to simulate a HYD FLUID WARMING SYSTEM of a MD-11 :(Rob, yes maybe it's a bug or it's just not simulated.Denis
  19. Hi,if I enter the predicted winds per waypoint into the F-PLN page the previous entries are overwritten. In the moment it's all greek to me because some time ago that works. There's s.th. I do wrong. Could anbody give me a step by step instruction?By the way: yes, I press the "insert" command.Thx in advanceDenis
  20. Maybe a oil heating system like on the A2A stratocuiser is simulated :( Seriously: Have you waited a little bit for the HYD TEMPS to adapt relatively to the environemental temperature?Denis
  21. Yes there's something in the FCOM. But the question is if I get all the systems running on next DEP. :(
  22. Does anybody have experiences with the MD-11 and extreme low tempertures. Actually planning a trip to CYFB and the METAR looks like this: CYFB 211900Z 33029KT 5SM R35/4500VP6000FT/D BLSN FEW100 M31/M36 A2994 RMK BLSN2AC1 SLP145 :( Don't want to be trapped into this field. But the A380 did his low temp tests so the MD-11 will cope with it anyway :( Denis
  23. Yes, there are altitude restrictions. But in my case the VOR needles seem to be shifted some dozen counterclockwise. Can't believe it has to with the unreliability of the VOR recieving in high altitudes. Maybe a FS-problem (AFCAD as Turbine777 mentioned).Does anybody of the developers could say if it has to do with a intentional VOR behavoir modelling?
  24. Does anybody ever notice a deviation of the VOR needles? Actually I'm flying eastbound over Canada and recognize that the VOR needles not are pointing exactly towards the station. See the picture below. The NDBs seem to work properly. Does it have anything to do with the magnetic forces (67
  25. Hi to all the pilots and technicans, about one year ago I posted a thread concerning the random failure trigger ratio of the MD-11's failure system: http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...&hl=failure.Thanks god currently I have some time again to fly the MD-11 again. Everything runs smooth and it's an absolutely joy to drive this baby. But there's still to old problem of to many failures per flight :( .This week I made the first flight since one year: MD-11F KLGB to KPIA. Enroute my 3-2-NRMP gave up. Arriving the Ramp at KPIA my APU didn't come up: APU STARTER FAULT.Currently I'm flying from KPAE to BGSF. At about 1700Z my HYD 2 reservoir was gone (HYD 2 FAULT, both pumps off AP1 inop).I think the possibility to get failures you have to react on is one of the quality cores of PMDG's MD-11 (besides the system modelling). But a ratio of 1 failure per 10 hours is much to much. Maybe it was an accident that three failures occured in that short time. Will see what happens next (still 1271 nm to go).I would like to know in which way the others use the system failures. Just for system training in special situations? Or do you have it switched off on long cruises? So here's again my suggestion couldn't we get that on a event per 100 or 1000 hr ratio? I've discussed that in the old thread with Dan Brown and he gave some logical arguments. Anyway I would like to see any kind of solution for this. Maybe there's a possibility to change this manual in any file or so? It would be a big step for me towards reality. Thanks in advanceDenis
