  1. But I don't understand how you can lose up to 20 fps by entering a fix ??

I don't undestand that either, it's just an observation.

But as I said no big deal as performance is good enough anyway enroute, and the frames of course return as I delete the fixes.

  2. I get this as well.

Two fixes with two range rings each give me about 10 fps drop.

No big issue though, I just erase them before going into the destination.

  3. Am curious to know if the sounds are recorded from a LVL -D simulator or the actual aircraft?

    From post #6 above:

We literally recorded the sounds in a real 200LR cockpit and sounds were discussed heavily with the tech team who hear them day-in-day-out during development - dunno what else people want us to do.

  4. The entries stated above are all fixes in the North Atlantic. For actual waypoints based on coordinates you need to use the LEGS page. They will not work in the RTE page.

    .

Yes, but as he was flying today's NAT V those were the fixes included in that route and that's the easiest way to enter them. :)

  5. Once you choose your ILS approach in the DEP ARR page in the CDU the ILS frequency will be autotuned in the NAV RAD page. Of course you can enter it manually as e.g. 108.3/187. Hope it makes some sense! :)

  6. Thank you Thomas for your prompt reply... will a good business for Track Ir

You don't need a Track IR just because the plane is missing a 2D-panel. I use the hat-switch and the built in fixed views!

    Works perfectly! ;-)

  7. Oh yeah, they know! Mine quietly makes her way up to my desk and then just flops down belly-up on the keyboard. I never know what the results will be. I have to be prepared for every emergency situation.

You are lucky she just jumps into your lap. My kitten runs into my sim room where I'm sitting in front of the computer, screetches to a halt, then typically attacks the TrackIR cable AGAIN, claws out and climbs up via my thigh and arm to my neck (and yes, I am usually VERY lightly dressed...), jumps down on the keyboard causing all kinds of havoc and strange vatsim messages, and runs out again. All in just a matter of seconds. I am armed with a water pistol just to fend him off but I'm always too late...

Hahaha! Yeah they are fun those little attention seekers! :D
