  1. Thanks, I'll feel much better about giving them a workoutChris
  2. Sorry, I wasn't talking about speed restrictions, just climbing at the speed of 315 to cruise altitude with engines running at nearly 98% to keep that speed up. Just seems a bit high. Thanks,Chris
  3. Thanks, Yeah I saw that while going online. Found a download for a fuel planner for pmdg which said the same thing. All this time I was doing it wrong. Sad.Thanks for the replies guys Sorry, keep forgetting to add my name to my replies (last reply).Chris
  4. Thanks, I'll take a look. Not sure about the doing that through FSUIPC though. I need to look more into what it is and like you advised, go through itThanksChris
  5. This has happened several times. I have just started my engines and completed my after engine start and taxi checklists. I then increase the throttles but as soon as I do the power level drops down to idle and i can't increase power. I review over the procedures to make sure I didn't forget anything but I get the same problem. I restart my flight all over again doing the same things but then everything works like its supposed to and I am able to continue on with the flight. Wondering if anyone out there has had the same problemThanks,Chris
  6. Just curious, is climbing to your cruise altitude at an airspeed of 315 per FMC calculations ok? I was always under the impression you were to climb at an airspeed over FL100 at no more than 280.Thanks
  7. Before I configure the FMC I start FSpassengers inputting how much cargo weight, loading passengers and selecting the amount of fuel I have calculated for the flight out. FSP automatically takes that amount of fuel in weight/gallons and spreads it our evenly out all 3 tanks ( example 40% full in Left, Right and center tanks). I can change this but not sure what I should put in which tank. Should I completely fill the wing tanks and whatever is left put in the center or should I just leave an equal amount in each tankI use the 737-900 aircraftThanksChris
  8. I don't think there is a fix for this. You might just want to hold off on starting RC until after you have loaded the weather and have verified with default atis information what the departing runway is. Then start RC and enter in that runway as your departure. Once this is done ground will instruct you to go to that runway for takeoff. I would prefer not to have to do this but those limitiations are there. The other thing I don't like is the fact that ground doesn't tell you what taxiways to use to get to that runway, or in reverse, to get to the gate as they often do in real life.I don't mean to complain too much, RC is high on my list of "well worth the money" payware programs.Chris
  9. thanks for the help. It's not a pleasant experience getting scolded by ATC.
  10. I use radar contact (atc program) on my flights and often times during my descent the controller will tell me to be at an altitude within so many miles from the airport. Is there a way to put this info into the FMC or do I need to disconnect from LNAV and manually get myself down to that altitude?ThanksChris
  11. Like in the default fs2004 aircraft you have the semicons for the kneeboard, gps, atc etc. In the pmdg theyre not there so I was wondering if they were put into the aircraft at all. From what you posted it sounds like the kneeboard is built into the aircraft. I will look up the shortcut key for the kneeboard in fs9.
  12. Pull up the map view I mean
  13. Was wondering about the kneeboard for the PMDG 737-900. It would be nice to pull it up as well as the past atc instructions. Is there a way to get this on the panel?ThanksChris
  14. Thanks, it was just for flying the posky 737-900 aircraft from project opensky. I was using the PMDG panel for that aircraft and unfortunately the posky aircraft needs at least 47% thrust to get it going from a stopped position. I've tried getting it going with 30-35% but it won't budge.
  15. It helps a lot. While taxing from the runway I will keep the flaps to 1 until reaching the gate, see if that fixes my problem. Thanks,Chris
  16. Thanks, unfortunately with the posky 737-900 (I'm using the panel folder from PMDG), I need about 47% thrust to get the aircraft moving from a standstill. This aircraft I probably wont be able to use anyhow. On my takeoff roll a message appears at the top of the screen showing the aircraft to be incompatible due to CG. I was still able to fly, use the FMC and land with no problems so I am unsure why the message appeared. Anyways, thanks for the response.Chris
  17. Sorry, I use the PMDG 737-900.Thanks,Chris
  18. After landing when I put in a little thrust an alarm sounds and only turns off when I reduce thrust. I know why this happens when taking off but not after I have landed at my destination. Wondering what I am doing wrong. I've also noticed that air conditioning is lit up in the warning window next to MCP. Packs are on from the minute I start engines until I shut down after a flight. I've tried doing different things on the overhead panel but cant get the light to go off.Thanks. Chris
  19. thanks, I use it with the 737-900. Did a flight yesterday and man, I've got to practice a bit on my landings. The aircraft handles a bit differently than the Posky 737-900 ive been using these last couple of years.
  20. Has anyone who uses both had any problems? I just received the PMDG and will soon try it with both fspassenger and radar contact. Thanks
  21. Anyone who uses both have any problems? I have one that I have seen so far and that is when I use the key assigned to fspassengers nav, speed, altitude etc. When I use the key assigned, the input values desired are not vocally sounded and put into the autopilot. Thanks
  22. Ah, should have thought of that. Thanks for the help guys
  23. I do have the option to reset the flight but the problem is that i'm using fspassengers as well as another addon program and if i reset the flight everything I will have done so far on the flight would reset as well.
  24. I have a lot of information put into my FMC and wish to start over with all that informtion I put in gone (start fresh). I've looked through the manual and cant find how to do it. Would appreciate some information on thisThanksChris
