  1. Hello folks, Back in August 2010 I started a thread called Pick and Mix - Part 1, with the intention of picking and showing 10 of my personal favorite screen shots taken during recent & past FSX sessions, covering various aircraft, locations and view angles. Since then, every few months or so, I added another Pick and Mix part, the last one being part 8 back in May of last year. I thought it was high time to catch up a little and instead of just posting 10 shots, here are 20 of my personal favorite pick and mix selections. Most of these screen shots I have had stored for a while but never seen the light of day and they have been waiting for an audience to enjoy them. So lets get on with the show, pick and mix part 9, enjoy the view: Thank you for boarding this thread, I hope you have enjoyed your stay and look forward to having you back .
  2. Cheers folks, thanks for the compliments. My pleasure.

  4. Thanks guys, I appreciate your comments, glad these are well received. It's nice to be posting some shots again after all this time. Thanks, I was a bit lucky with getting that shot, turned out rather nicely. Thank you and yes I read the new rules, very nice update. Nice to know one can have up-to 20 shots in a thread, I usually only post up-to 10 shots but it is nice to know more can be added. Thank you, yeah I really like that dusk shot myself, the lighting just came out really well.
  5. If you look at my past works, I never do VC shots (only very very rarely) besides, this Tristar release is external model only atm, VC is coming in the near future.
  6. Hi folks, I trust everyone is well in the flight sim world as I return with my first screen shot post in over 6 months, life sure does fly-by (pun intended) when you are busy. But I finally had some time to get my FSX up and running again and will hopefully be posting a bit more regular. For now, enjoy this three star return with Captain Sim's new offering of the L-1011 Tristar, which I have been thoroughly admiring and enjoying for the past few days, as you can see in the shots: (unedited apart from resized & JPG) Thank you for your time viewing my work.
  7. Hello folks, Please enjoy another batch of my shots, this time featuring the photoreal scenery of Scotland from Playsims, with various aircraft from my hangar. (shots unedited apart from resized & JPG'ed, inc REX & ENB): Hope you liked the view.
  8. Thank you both. John, you're not the only one, but so far I'm very much enjoying this aircraft, as the pictures prove. Still a few kinks/bugs to work out but that is nearly always the case with newly released software.
  9. Greetings fellow simmer, It has been a while since I posted any screen shots so I put aside some time to share some of my latest shots with the community. This batch show my latest addition to my fleet, the excellent DC-9 from Coolsky with texture works by McPhat. I also made a video of the DC-9 with some nice photoreal background scenery which can be viewed on my youtube channel (in both original soundtrack & audioswap) -> http://www.youtube.c...me?feature=mhee Enjoy this random batch of shots showing off the DC-9 with its six normal definition release liveries: Thank you, I hope you enjoyed the view.
  10. Thanks for the comments folks, appreciated. I shall indeed try, I am normally not into taking VC shots but the texturing in the VC on this aircraft is pretty amazing so will see if I can get some next time.
  11. Very kind, thank you, glad you enjoyed these.
  12. Hey folks, enjoy this single shot of my latest line-up in my hangar, Coolsky's newest & latest addition to the world of FSX, the classic DC-9. The old lady is ready for push-back once more: More shots coming soon...
  13. Cheers. Thanks Tim, always a pleasure. Well spotted and I miss them too. Thank you.
  14. Cheers, no2 my most favorite aircraft, shame she is retired. Thanks and ditto. Ta EHAM, Amsterdam X. It was some custom made AI traffic, just wanted to show my latest CS737 addition at the time with various liveries. Enjoy your new desktop. I wish... But I wouldn't mind some free air miles :D.
  15. To Fly. To Serve, one of British Airways slogan. Here is a small compilation of BA liveries shots taken during the past few years covering several decades of British Airways. Also, this series includes my latest addition to my fleet, CLS's BAe 146, a great model and glad to see CLS have finally upgraded their aircraft livery quality to HD quality (TBM 2048/4096), as you can see from one of my closeups. Please enjoy: (REX & various addons/settings) Thank you for flying British Airways, hope to see you again soon.
  16. Cheers, your dad must have told you some great stories of his time on carriers.
  17. Thank you all for your kind words, glad my shots are still enjoyed after all these years.
  18. Greetings all, You have all heard of the Pink Panther but what happens when you combine the wonderful freeware scenery of Blue Sky Scenery with the excellently modeled and painted F9F Panther from Vertigo Studios? A very 'blue' Panther. Enjoy: Thanks for viewing.
  19. Thank you all for your kind words, much appreciated.
  20. Enjoy this follow-up from my previous post, again, all unedited shots. Thank you for your time viewing these.
  21. Thanks I think you might be right, must be Charles De Gaulle. Pretty much all what you have mentioned, I often use FSRecorder to record a flight I do and then play it back. If I catch anything I feel is photogenic then I take some snaps using FRAPS to capture the screen shots. I also pause if I feel the shot is to hard to capture while in motion and I often take a shot from different angles, positions and zoom. I usually end up with many shots but only very few make it past my personal critic, out of 100's of shots usually a handful I feel are post worthy. Know that I think about it, I am pretty sure I used Aerosoft's Charles De Gaulle.
  22. Thanks for the comments folks. Not 100% sure as I took that shot a while ago but I think that would be Athens X (LGAV). I took that shot last year and for the live of me, I cannot remember what airport that was at. I will see if I can find it again in the meantime, if anyone else recognizes that airport, please feel free to say so.
  23. Greetings folks, I managed to find some time to rummage around my screen shot folder and collect some shots (mostly shots from the past @3 years that I never got around to posting) to make up a themed screen shot series as it has been a while since I posted such series. The theme is based around a spotter's view when trying to catch a photo of heavies in and around airports. I do hope you enjoy the view and, as always, these shots (unless I state otherwise) are unedited apart from resized down from 2560x1600 & JPG'd (I did crop certain shots so the ratios is different in some as you will see). Spotting the heavies: Addons used: REX2.0 OD (various themes), ENB mod (various settings), PMDG 747 + MD-11 & McPhat HD repaints, CLS747, Captain Sim's B-52 and many various addon airports. Thanks for viewing and will hopefully post part 2 in the near future.
