  1. That is high praise indeed, thank you very kindly.
  2. I have had many requests for more 'old' aviation photo shots after my first post on them. So I have put together another 10 shots for your viewing pleasure, please enjoy:(fsx screen shots with a little after effect editing specifically cross process & grain effect)I do hope you enjoy this series as much as the last one.
  3. Thank you all again for your comments, glad you folks are enjoying this series, will have another one up hopefully soon. You are correct, as well as the KLM 747 which is modern and not the older type. They are PMDG's 747 models parked up and I only have so many liveries in my PMDG folder, hence why I was limited in my liveries.
  4. Folks your kind comments and praise is heard and very much appreciated, it is a good feeling sharing my screen shot work with other like minded people who enjoy flight sim for what it is. Ditto. Jim is correct, that airport is TNCM from FlyTampa. I just realised I used the modern KLM livery on the 747 in the background, not the older style as it is on the tin mouse. Never mind, nothing is perfect :). That in itself is a wonderful compliment as that was my aim with these shots. Thank you Tim and to think it was the release of your REX that made me start my way down the screen shot artist path.
  5. Enjoy a little trip into the past with these old aviation photos I found lying about:(fsx screen shots slightly edited to look like old photos - grain and cross process effect added)Hope you enjoyed this little trip into the past.
  6. Thank you kindly, I'm running FSX at 2560x1600 AA 8QS AF 16x, which allows for much detail & clarity to be shown. Glad to have helped, I can also mention another good method of setting up formations is by using Mudpond's freeware formation tool, this allows for up-to 4 aircraft to take off and fly either a circuit or a straight line.
  7. Your kind comments & praise is very much welcomed, thank you. There are several ways to achieve formation flights like these, the method I used here was by using FSRecorder. I recorded a flight path with 1 aircraft, then used advance play to duplicate the same flight but with several aircraft positioning them in sightly differently locations, then used playback and attempted to fly in formation.
  8. Time to take a break from my usual 'tube' posting and have some military intervention.Enjoy these military formation shots, all unedited apart from the last shot which was made to look like an old photograph.Hope you like the view.
  9. A pleasure to have shared these folks, GSX (as well as AES) sure does give the sim another breath of life.
  10. Thank you kindly, will have part 2 coming up over the next week or so.
  11. Nice shots and best wishes for your birthday :( hope you get much enjoyment from GSX, your own birthday present.
  12. Greetings FS Community,After trying out some new addons with the PMDG 747X, Queen of the Skies, using the latest McPhat's World Airlines 3 and FSDT's GSX, Ground Services, plus a little bit of customized AI traffic, I was simply amazed (yet again) by the combination of some new addons. I just couldn't resist taking some screen shots in order to share them other enthusiasts.I am still amazed by the quality of addons that continue to be released for Flight Sim, whether it is freeware or payware. Over the past 3 years, since I started with FSX, flight simming sure has come along nicely and the support/addons & community just seem to make flight simming better and better each year. I remember REX being my first proper payware addon for FSX, back then and even today, it brought some serious 'bling' to FSX. I can't wait what the future will bring, both in better software & hardware. For now, enjoy these 10 unedited shots (apart from resized down from 2560x1600 plus JPG'd):.jpg" />As always, thanks for viewing.
  13. Thanks folks, your comments are always appreciated.Rob: Someone suggested I should turn that shot into an old B&W photo, I might try that.Steffen: Glad these shots are within the rules. This should save me lots of time as I can use the same format pictures size across several forums without having to chop and change all the time.Word Not Allowed: She sure is an acquired taste ;).Tristan: Feeling is mutual, a timeless logo, shame they ain't around anymore.
  14. Greetings folks,May I present to you the Boeing's Model 377 Stratocruiser, the early post-war airliner whose luxurious Pullman-like comfort earned it the reputation of being the Queen of the Sky — and the nickname, Statuscruiser. If you would like to know more about this early Queen then check out this link HERE it has lots of cool info. This first part covers her daytime KJFK boarding & takeoff to the beautiful sunset over the Atlantic Ocean as she heads into the night for her overnight Transatlantic journey.Enjoy these unedited screen shots (PS I hope these are within the new rules):Thank you for viewing, part 2 coming soon.
  15. Cheers folks, appreciate your praise & comments. IIRC that would be the Cessna T210M Centurion II from Carenado, Ray Marshall recently did a very nice review of it right here on avsim. Steffen is correct, it is FlyTampa's TNCM. There is no old BA 767 but you probably mean the BA Landor 777 ;). IIRC the aircraft is Captain Sim's 777 and the repaint was done by David Sweetman, you can find it right here at avsim's library, BA Landor under Sweetman. See my answer above for which St.Maarten version.
  16. Hey folks,Found some time to post these, please do enjoy:(unedited apart from resized & JPG'd)(lite edits, blur, light spots etc)(composite edits)(All various addons, settings, REX themes etc)Thank you for looking.
  17. Thank you all for your comments, always appreciated. I remember installing some freeware tree replacements sometime last year but TBH I cannot remember where or whos. But I think the trees in the shot #8 are part of the airport or at least the ones close-by.
  18. That would be the current slogan of American Airlines, probably my 2nd most favorite livery airliner. This also reminds me to mention that McPhat studios have just recently released a wonderful freeware UHDT (Ultra High Definition Textures - 4096) AA livery for PMDG's NGX. Although I been very busy recently, spending much of my precious spare time on making several FSX videos which can be viewed via THIS LINK (be sure to checkout some of my latest videos in 1080p), I had to spend some time creating some new screen shots with McPhat's excellent AA livery for the NGX (plus dig out some older shots of other AA aircraft). So I dedicate this post to American Airlines throughout the ages, 'We know why you fly', please do enjoy:(Coolsky's Super 80s Pro with McPhat UHDT freeware AA livery)(Captain Sim's 737, 727 & 707 with repaints from Captain Sim's website)(Captain Sim's 757 with McPhat's UHDT freeware AA Livery)(Level-D LDS Boeing 767 with McPhat's HD freeware AA livery)(PMDG's NGX with McPhat's UHDT freeware AA livery)(I also used REX2.0 Overdrive and various ENB mod settings)Thank you for taking your time viewing my work.
  19. Enjoy this latest video of mine which is the 3rd video in my Busy Airport series, this time using the Leipzig\Halle airport.Best watched at full 1080p, please feel free to comment here or on my youtube channel and I would very much appreciate if you could vote on the video, thanks.
  20. A wonderfully laid out review Ray, well done and thank you for your effort and time.
  21. Thank you kindly. Thanks but no theme for a change, just a random selection of some favorites of both recent and past screen shots.
  22. Thank you all, glad you like my first shots of 2012. That shot was a tower shot and I tried for over an hour to get the shot I wanted. However, with the amount of zoom I was using, I simply couldn't press the screen shot key at just the perfect moment, the 747 flew past the moon in a microsecond. So I had to resort using slew in the end, but alas, slew removes the wingflex animation from an aircraft. Still, although not a perfect shot, I feel it does capture a great atmosphere.
  23. That is odd, actually it not exactly Shift + E + Number. You need to press Shift + E and then release and immediately press a number, i.e. press Shift + E release and immediately press number 2 or 3, if the main door just opens you probably waited to long between the shift E release and a number, try it a few times as it should work.
  24. As it is my first post of the new year I would like to wish you all a very happy new year, may it be full of great flight sim experiences for you all.My first screen shot posting of 2012, enjoy:(some are lightly edited)Thanks for looking.
