  1. Many thanks for your prompt response, it's much appreciated.
  2. I know that this is an old topic but I would like to ask what is I think a somewhat related question. My apologies if the question needs to be moved elsewhere. I have the Playsims/Horizon Gen X Scenery and in general I think that it's an excellent product. However, I think that it might be interfering with the default FSX Map/Planner terrain display which seems to show only the coast outline. Is this to be expected or is it something incorrect in my setup? Mnay thanks for any help.
  3. Many thanks, Joe, I'll give that a try. Best regards, Mike.
  4. Hi there, Many thanks for the useful tip, I'll try that when investigating further. Best regards.
  5. Hi, I would really appreciate help on the following issue I have encountered with some FSX scenery: 1) I am using the VFR scenery with an add-on airport and all was fine until I updated the airport scenery with an update file provided to better merge with the photo-realistic scenery. 2) Following this update, the airport was no longer visible. After some trial and error, I discovered that the add-on airport re-appears when I allow FSX to regenerate the fsx.cfg file but of course I now need to recover all of the other setup/configuration data that is in my old cfg file which I backed up. It would appear then that some change was perhaps made to my original cfg file when I performed the update? I don't have much experience in dealing with scenery issues but I wonder if it possible to identify the section or sections of the cfg file where changes may have been implemented? Or perhaps there is another better approach to recover the situation? Many thanks for any help.
  6. Hi All,New member here.I have a problem with replacing the default Acceleration moving carrier with this excellent USS Nimitz. I have followed the directions as given (ie commenting out the lines in the two files "veh_carrier01_high_detail_sm.cfg" and "VEH_carrier01.cfg" and inserting the following lines in the new "USS_NIMITZ.cfg" file[fltsim.24]title=veh_carrier01_high_detail_smmodel=CVN69_12texture=CVN69_2[fltsim.25]title=VEH_carrier01model=CVN69_12texture=CVN69_2 .However, the default carrier still appears in the sim. I had this working in my previous setup but I am now in the process of rebuilding FSX due to a system crash. A difference may be that my new FSX is no longer on the C: drive? I can place the carrier correctly using aicarriers. I have the SDK installed and using the explorer I can see the two carriers in a test setup near KNGU but "veh_carrier01_high_detail_sm" is not picking up the new Nimitz model definition.I would be really grateful for any suggestions...Many thanks.
