  1. March 22, 2016 Hello Jim, Sorry to get back on the subject but it appears that despite what google says the file 0\FSX\FSX.EXE does exist in c: Undeed, for a test, i deactivated AVG and used the Windows 7 protection instead. And a window appeared from Windows, indicating that there was a potentially dangerous file in c: named ...0\FSX\FSX.EXE !!! It seems therefore that it is not an invention by AVG or both AVG and Windows would see phantoms ! I agree that Google does not see it and that I am unable to locate it in C: when FSX is running. Possibly this may be one of those temporary hidden files which FSX builds as a link between the disk where FSX is installed and the disk where c: (the OS) is installed ? This remains therefore a mystery to me. Regards, Candide Regards
  2. Thank you Jim for your reply. Actually FSX is already exempted from AVG as was recommended for the installation but, as indicated in my post, the file which AVG finds is in C:, i. e. on a separate disk from the one on which FSX is installed. Amazingly when I ask AVG to disregard the file 0\FSX\FSX.EXE which it has found, a window opens indicating it cannot exempt this file. This is why I had tried to locate it myself in C: but I could not find it. This is annoying since unless I have asked AVG to eliminate such file which it qualifies as a malware, I cannot close FSX unless I close it by hand in the task maneger. All that is the reason why i wrote my post in the first place. Obviously, I would prefer not to reinstall FSX on account of the numerous add-ons I have. Best regards, Candide
  3. March 16, 2016 Hello everybody When I want to close FSX, my AVG protection software indicates it has found in c: (which is the disk of my Windows 7 64 installation but not the one on which FSX is installed) a file named 0\FSX\FSX.EXE which it considers as a malware and, actually, FXS does not completely stop until AVG has eliminated this file. I have tried to locate this file in C; but could not. Does anybody knows what it is ? Thanks a lot Candide

March 11, 2015 Amazingly the spoiler detent keeps staying in the middle from the moment I load the 777 cold and dark until and at all timrd during the flight. I cannot get the spoiler to keep stowed.. Whenever I attempt to stow the spoilers, be it with the "shift + /" keyboard command or directly by the detent in the plane, it remains stowed for a few seconds and automatically gets back in the middle which obviously triggers a warning "spoilers extended". I stow the spoilers again but the command gets back to the middle, again and again. Whatever I do does not correct the problem. What do I do wrong and what should I do to get the spoilers to keep stowed when unnecesary. Thank you for your help. Candide
  6. June 18, 2013 Gentlemen, For several years I have been and still am a customer of PMDG and, as you could see from my account, over the years I have purchased most if not all of your products which I use with great pleasure on my home tower computer. I have now, in addition, a mighty laptop which I plan to use on trips or vacations and on which, on these occasions, I would also like to use your products. Rather than uninstalling and reinstalling these products back and forth, which would be annoying, time consuming and potentially dangerous, I would prefer to install them permanently on my laptop, in addition to the installation on my tower computer, using for this purpose the same installation software and keys I used for the initial installation on my tower computer. Is that possible, taking into account that, obviously, I would not use the products simultaneously on both computer but one at a time, so that there would not be any breach of your license rights. Another way would be, of course, to purchase such products a second time for installation on my laptop which, however, would turn out to be unnecessarily costly. Thank you in advance for you answers and advice, Annick Nosny

  8. February 22, 2011I am using FSX on Xp and Windows 7.The "standard.cfg" file does not record the Joystick's buttons selection but merely the graphics, general scenery, Display, panels, Terrain, Weather, and some AI traffic. When using different planes, the joystick buttons may have to differ (example PMDG 747, Dodosim,, Embraer, etc.)I have not found any Add-on which would keep such registrations. Is there any ?If not, what are the FSX files whre such registrationsare kept ?Indeed, it would be easy via a series of batches, to substitute such files when needed according to the plane used. Thanks to everybody for the help.Candide
