I highly recomend this VA to anyone. if your looking for a fun VA thats just the right mix of Realism and practicality. heres some things i found to be great about this VA does not requier you to file X number of flight reports a month. the only requierment is to have a valid email, and log into the website atleast 1 a month. if that cannont be done for any reason, you may request a leave of abbsence so that you dont get listed as inactive. Flight reports are filed automaticly with our ACARS software. althoue there is still the option for filing a manual flightreport. sometimes its nessacery. ACARS can meet all of your flight planing needs. from ACARS you can pull up Weather, and Charts. it has a fuel calculator for every aircraft in our fleet. it can load a fuel and payload. it has acces to our very large route database. it even has a chat box if you need help. you can talk to any other pilot who is connected. All the information ACARS has is also on the website. once loged in you can plan a flight almost entierly before you even start FS. so you can minimize the time FS is just running in the background while you are crunching numbers Along with the route database. ACARS also has dispatchers. live human dispatchers (similler to ATC on Vatsim or IVAO) when one is on. he can handle the entier flight planing for you. just as in real life. Althou i personally have never used this feachure, im told that when a Dispatcher is online. and a ATC controller is on VATSIM or IVAO. The dispatchetr can cordinate with that controller to get you IFR clerance before hand. just like the PDC in real life. ACARS also has other usefull feachurs. including flight recovery in case FS Crashes, cabin anouncments, passenger load (that can be calculated by the server, or you can specify your own), failures, traning flights and much more to numerous to list. and most of the feachures can be turned on or off if you dont want them. Multiple aircraft programes, including historic. in currently in the 757 programe. transfer of request aditional rating for any other programe at anytime. aditional ratings requier a flight test. for example lets say your in the 737 programe but want a rateing in a 757 to. so you have to take the 757 FO exam on our websites teting center. once thats done you request a flight test and one of the Cheif pilots in that programe will send the information to you. complete the flight, they will grade it. and if you passed you will hade that aditonal 757 rateing. dont worry the test are not hard. we have a online flight school and testing center that is rated for VATSIM traning. flights can be made offline or on VATSIM or IVAO. you can use FS8 FS9 FSX Xplane or P3D we have a very large fourm with programe specific thread, and a great community of people who will assist you with whatever you need. im willing to bet you could ask these guys what brand of beer they recommend and they will tell you.   2. Yes i did. As stated in the OP.call me paronoid. but this new PC has got to last. money is not something in great quantity. so i try to protect this new PC, sword and sheild if i thought it would help. if there is even the slightes risk that the old HD could caues issues on the new PC. then. however. ther is a older PC i aquiered from a local bank when they upgraded thire PC. it had no RAm (except what was built in to The MB) so it was ungodly slow. and its acient anyway. i could see if the HD would work on it. Transfer the fiel to a Flash drive, scan the hell out of it. and prey. ill let yall know how this quest turns out
  3. i have thought about salvaging the HD. but not 100% shure if the old HD had a virues on it. it did behave oddly in the days up to its death. i did reguler scans with my virus software, and scaned the files i did back up before putting them on this PC.found nothing. but that dosent mean it not there
  4. ok heres the Sitrepon my old PC i had a modifyed spotlight BMP that made the default runwaylights alot better. not as bright with good realistic look. and they where xeon lights so they had that "blueish"color.i forgot to back that file up when i switched to this new PC. A motherboard issue is what killed the other PC so i cant get the file off the old harddrive. iv been looking fo it since i reinstalled FSX, about 2 months now. and cant find it.oh ive found several HALO and Spotlight mods. none of wich were very good. say for dentays lights on simviation. however i can find the one im looking for.i cant remember the excat file name. but i think it was "realistic Landing lights" or "xeon landing lights" both of wich iv tryed to no avil. i cant remember if itwas on simviation Avsim or flightsim.com. it was one of the 3so does anybody know where it resides? i remember the download had multiple folders each with a diffrent Spotlight bmp so the user could pick wich one sutied him the most. i think the selection was1. dim2. brighter3. brightest4 .realisticor something simmiller. i wish i had a pic, but unfortenitly i dont. so does anybody know of this download
  5. I would not call it Time Wasted since it needed to be said. Plus, It only took me maby 5min to post this. 1 to look up the pic of Picard, 1 to find the LAT/LON of the Hawahi area, And 2 to type it up with a 1min return to add last scentence and the thank you at the end.
  6. Is anyone else getting tiered of BS like this.Even if Flight only consist of the area of N30 to N10/W170 to W150. that has not been ither confirmed, nor denied as of the time of this post. Please in the future, Dont wast our or your Time. How long did it take to put this together. 5, 10min. Could you not have done something productive. I mean really?Just to let yall know.   7. i dont normally read the Avsim fourm so if any one replys to this dont expect a response from me. But...Let me first say i dont Hate Xplane. What i Hate is people who use the Word "hate" as a Synonim for "Disagres with my openion about".My thing is they are both sims. if you prefer one to the other, thats great. Crack open a beer and have fun. dont get on the fans of the others nerves just becaues they arent useing the same one as you.And just becaue i feel like saying it. Nither one is realistic. Altho if i had to pick wich one is more realistic id still go for FS. even thoue its not winng by much. And before anyone says that Xplane is used in real world ATD's. my Flight school has a redbird Flight sim (FAA approved) it used FSX.

Im preety shure the reason we have yet to hear any new updates is becaues they are busy with the Alpha testingNot everyone wants it seems to be a perfictly good reason to not implament a feature. Majority ruels. IF only 10 out of 50 people want a carrer mode. i would not spend the money on programing and payrole on that feature, when that money/time can be put forth on something more important (or more people want)Personaly i would love to see backwords compatibilty. But not at the cost of of preformance and Gameplay (for lack of a better word). There is another thread regarding this issue, so i dont feel this needs to have to much fuel thrown of this particuler fire.
  9. Exploring the online forest I have discovered several differencing opinions about what People think needs to be in MS Flight.The most popular “Wish’s” seem to be· Career mode. Where certain requirements must be met Before getting certain aircraft· Auto Assigned Routes. Mostly people who have never heard of a Virtual Airline want this one.· “Hyper-Realistic” Aircraft. Laval-D Quality right out the box.These seem to be several Personal preference wish’s, but I can remember a Survey sent out by Microsoft asking if we would like to see these. And other things implemented in the next FS version In my own opinion I believe FS is fine the way it is. What needs upgrading is the “background’ stuffThings like· Up-Dates for Stock Navigation Data. Perhaps even by Navigraph. Since the price for updates has come down to affordable over the last few years.· Better looking wind sock. Seriously this low poly wind sock in FSX has been there since what FS98. It makes my eye twitch.· More realistic Physics. In a Cessna Sky hawk the landing procedure is Power for Altitude, and pitch for airspeed. Not the other way around like in the FS default Sky hawk.On a side note to that. I’m not expecting Level-D quality out the box. I simply want a more realistic “feel”. Even thou I know it would never be close to the real thing.· Better ATC. I know this was planned in FSX but was scrubbed for difficulty reasons. It would be nice to have the ability to open VFR flight plans. Or use Sids/Stars. But this is not something I would cry over if it’s not implemented.That’s just a few things that I think need to be in flight I don’t mind if MS don’t make Add-ons from FSX backwards compatible. In hindsight that would problem be a good thing. I have lots of money invested in FSX. So when Flight is released. Ill probly get it but not switch exclusively to it. Or I may hold off on buying it. And wait to hear what others say. I just think it needs to be mentioned that things like Careers need to be left to Add-ons like FSpassengers. And not implemented right out of the box. Not everyone wants. Or uses thou. I use FSP on my VA flights. But sometimes I like to relax in a Skylane and watch the sun set. I may want to do that in flight. But would be ###### if I have to get 5 licenses/Ratings and X number of hours before I can

I am the proud owner of Intagrated simavionics gagues. i use them on several aircraft. primerily my 738, i use the FSX default 738, but it is heavily modified with a custome panel (With ISG gague), better sound, and more realistic flight dynamics.recently i have been encontering problems with the ISG gagues. but only on the 737. it started with the TCAS, it just stoped working. the ND says the TCAS is on. but i dont get any traffic info or warning, sonsidering alot of my flying is done in KATL and other congested airspace, this is a problem. the next issue occuered after the recent update to allow AIRACS from Navigraph. the FMS will not dispaly approaches, only STARs and RW'sthe FMS is showing approaches on other aircraft that use it, like my Citation X. but on the 737, it seems it only shows approches, when it wants to.since i have a custome panel, i am currently rebuilding and hope that fixes the problems.i tried going to the offical support. but i sent the E-mail 2months ago with no reply. and have yet to recive a email confirming my fourm mebership over there (Also 2month overdue) so i decided to bring it here. I apologize if this is the wrong fourm to post in.thanks in advance for any help provided

  13. On Active Sky Evolution, under the brefing page. Is it possible to get ASE to Print Just the brefing. Ive noticed the buttons for Printing the NAV-LOG and brefing. And just the NAV-LOG. But I would only like the Brefing, as i prefer to use the FS-build NAV-LOG.Also, is it possibel to configure the Brefing to only have Certien info.EX I only want METARs/TAFs for my DEP,ARR, And ALT airport. And only SIG/AIRMETS along my route of flightand as a request is there a way to get a ASE entry under the Add-Ons Tab in the FSX menue, clicking it allowing you to do certian things like Refresh AI, Redownload weather info, File a PIREP, or request a METAR without going into windowed modeThanks

Reading on the justflight forum i noticed someone thought of running both Ultimate traffic 2. and Traffic X togetheri looked but was unable to digg up the thread over there, it is quit old. so ill be going off memory from the last time i read it.TrafficX (i currently own and run it) is a very good product. altho there are some things in the TCC i would like (and have asked for) that i would think would make useing it much better. overall its good.after installing the SP1 for it, traffic coverage is adiqite, im not saying great caues there is barly any traffix at my main airport, but im working on that.with good Airliner, Cargo, GA, and militery coverage.however the AI planes takeoff and fly direct to thiere destination and are vectored by ATC on arrival.Ultiamte Traffic 2 (thinking of buying)it seems to have good managment tools and some featuers do look great.the main thing attracting me to it is the fact that the AI planes can use a flightplan. meaning that a aircarft flying from say ATL-BWIit could use the Flight plan DAWGS4 SPA J14 RIC RAVNN3. of course FS ATC will vector it for arrival eventually, and since this SID is runway dependent, only DAWGS and the waypoints after it will be used. but the AI aircraft will fly useing the J14 airway instead of flying direct like the Traffic X or Default traffic dose. realistic id say.Since FSX can run multiple traffic BGL files you can use both of these togetherthe guy on the Just flight fourm said you would have to turn off airliners in TrafficX. and use trafic X only for GA Cargo Helicopter and Militery. where as UT2 can run the airliners. turning off GA cargo and militery in it.so what do all thinkwould running both TX and UT2 together be a good combination.
