This topic started really to become so helpful technically. how do i calculate the MTOW on a high altitude runway or sea level short runway?

I don't think using flex on such high altitude will be useful, as you need so much thrust so you don't need to reduce it.

From time to time you need to reinstall your Fs and consequently all your add-Ons. Recently i'm facing this problem a lot after installing the md-11, I got this message while initializing FSX " Cannot find Add-On scenery\scenery Area.115 in scenery .cfg file", then Fsx crashes and i have to reinstall everything again from scratch. Really it's annoying !! :( I observed that after the installation of the md-11, when i try to open any file from the md-11 menu like (load manager-normal cheklists-etc...), i got this " shortcut is missing" which indicates a corrupted installation. I've got the PMDG 747 installed if this has anything to do with it.Any ideas????FSX-SP2

Well, for every runway there is some charts determining the flex temp u can use for derated T/O and Climb, it depends on the runway elevation and your gross weight. By applying Flex temp u can have a smooth, scheduled flap-retraction rate.

I wonder in real life operations, these legs is not profitable for companies operating there unless they equip their Aircrafts with high altitudes equipments to have full aircrafts capacities.Thanks for reply anyway.

Well, At first thanks for your reply. I took a look at the Environmental Envelope diagram and its not so clear, but i think you are right. But that got me to think, what aircraft can operate in such altitude?

This seems not to be related specifically to PMDG Md-11 rather than a general discussion. However, i was planing a flight with the MD-11 freighter from El-Alto Intl, La Paz - Bolivia (ICAO: SLLP) with elevation of around 13300ft to Mariscal Sucre Intl, Quito - Ecuador with elevation around 9200ft.When i try to Take Off it takes barely the whole rwy to rotate, and when try to climb the plane stalls and fall eventually, Considering the rising terrain in the Take Off path.I already know that in such high altitudes we have less density air (Hot and High) so i didn't use any thrust reductions.My Take Off Configuration was as follows:- Load: Full - Fuel: 88.0 lbs- TOGW: 507.5 lbs- OAT: 8c- Flex: 9- Flap: 25- QNH: 1037- Cabin Alt: 13430 (in red) - Cabin Press Sys: Auto with open outflowAlerts: AVNCS Fan Override With all the factors above, any one have an idea on how to increase drag and lift during Take Off and climb out?How to Adjust Cabin Press with such high altitude?Thanks in advance.

Well, i' ve already subscribed with IVAO network 2 months ago but didn't fly on that network yet. I agree with you Flying with Vatsim needs someone genius and knows all the acrobatic moves not only to get online but also to maintain your flight without errors and bugs generated by Squawkbox.I'll try IVAO, but this MTL downloads too much liveries which is almost no one uses. If you have any idea to decrease the amount of liveries downloaded i'll be appreciated.

Hi all,I've been using SB4 for a long while and after reinstalling all my FS software again i got this problem when i try to connect to Vatsim; "No server information available" msg appears under box from where u choose the connection server.I've tried to use FsInn instead and i got the same problem where it can't load server information too!!!I checked my Firewall settings and my connection settings they are all fine. (I have no error messages at all)Reinstalled both programs again but the same. Is it a windows fault? Do i need to reinstall FSX again?I'm using: XP SP3 - FSX SP1Plzzz help.

Hey,I guess what i'm going to say is not something new to simmers, but i'm in a big hassle lately coz i wanna make my simulator looks more proffessional and more realistic.If someone could help me by recommending me the most proffessional Add-Ons that will get me to the highest level of integrity with my fsx in theses categories:1- Jet Aircrafts airliners.( I already have Wilco Airbus series 1,2 - Pmdg 747-400)2- Ground Utilities, etc....3- Sceneries,terrain,textures, etc......4- Other Utilities. ( I already have Fs2Crew for Pmdg747 and wilco AB series)I know there is Tons of Add-Ons but i want the most proffessional and realistic combination that will work together based on your experiment.Please share your experiment with me and save me from wasting a lot of time searching for good ones.
