  1. I have down loaded this from from Prepared 3D forum but it worked for my FSX installation as well. have you verified the dll.xml file is correct ? go to, C:\Users\(Your Windows Account Name)\AppData\Roaming\(Flight Simulator Folder Name) open "dll.xml" with notepad and check for the correct entry for the pmdg hud. verify the following entries are there; <Launch.Addon> <Name>PMDG HUD interface</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>PMDG\DLLs\PMDG_HUD_interface.dll</Path> <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName> <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName> </Launch.Addon> If not copy and paste. Cheers jaccorn
  2. Had the same issue as Nickcv. After I installed Win10 a dialog box would pop up asking me to Activate the Acceleration Pack. I did this a couple of tmies but it didn't do any good. I started FSX as administrator and it orks fine. I uninstalled hen reloaded FSX and still had same problem. Think it may have been a registry fault. Any way, starting FSX as administrator does the trick so thanks again Nickcv. Cheers John Cornish
  3. Went to down load at FSS store but could not find a link. Sent FSS an e-mail and this was the reply: APR 18, 2015 | 01:56PM EST Andres - The FlightSim Store replied: Hi John, As a request from the developer we have been instructed to remove the product from our site Any further question relating to this matter should be forwarded directly to the developer Thanks Andres Bottino _____________________________________ T h e F l i g h t S i m S t o r e web : http://www.flightsimstore.com email : support@flightsimstore.com phone : +61 2 4296 1641 fax : +61 2 8572 8203 Cheers John Cornish
  4. Just loaded 737ngx onto new computer. Autopilot diengaging mid flight. Aircraft not being controlled from this point. VNAV, LNAV and CMD functions are selected and are illuminated. N1, LNAV and VNAV SPD are being displayed at the top of the PD. CMD also displayed in PD top of artificial Horizon. My FSX files are located on an SSD which I have formatted and reloaded all FSX and PMDG files to try and fix problem but didn't work. I have flown many hours on my old computer with no such isuues. Using latest edition FSUIPC, Win7 on an ASUS Z87-C Motherboard. CH Stick, Throttle and rudder pedals using individual motherboard USB ports(Not Hub). Any ideas would be appreciated. cheers John Cornish
  5. 20 miles before T/D down 2000fpm to transition alt+1000'. Slow to 250knts or less then continue decent as cleared. Cheers John Cornish
  6. Thanks Ryan, Changed panel.cfg to panel.cfg.old and panel_4_3.cfg to panel.cfg then reloaded. The undercarriage selector was pushed off the side of my screen but the forward view did not change. cheers John Cornish
  7. Thanks for the interest Jay , Post #8 discusses settings in the FSX.cfg and Panel.cfg files. Both these have been checked and are as they should be. What I have noticed though is that any change I make to the Panel.cfg file in Views. View_Forward_Dir =. Has no affect on the cockpit perspective. ie: whether I have 'View_Forward_Dir=1.0, 0.0, 0.0 or View_Forward_Dir=5.5, 0.0, 0.0'. the cockpit perspective does not change. What would cause the Panel.cfg instructions to be ignored? Cheers John Cornish
  8. Thanks Jay, The post you pointed to delt with changing 'WideView Aspect' in the FSX.cfg file to True or False depending on monitor type. It also deals with changing the values of the 'Views. View
  9. Thanks Pete, Changed 'WideViewAspect=True' from 'WideViewAspect=False' in fsx.CFG with no affect. cheers John Cornish
  10. Thanks all for your input. My screen resolution is 1600x1200 which is native to the 4:3 Aspect Ratio screen. Raising and lowering seat is not the affect I am after with shift+enter/shift+backspace. The changing of pilot perspective with Ctrl+Q and Ctrl+Shift+Q is the affect I wish to alter. I can get the view I want by selecting Ctrl+Q but if I select a side view left or right then return to the forward view it is too high once again. cheers John Cornish
  11. Just reloaded 737NGX on my machine with a 4:3 Ratio CRT Monitor and have an old problem with the Front Panel too large for the scenery behind. Can not see runway on approach. FSX + FSX Acceleration. Have loaded latest patch 1.C. Have 'WideViewAspect=False in fsx.CFG. ' Have [VIEWS] VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL,MINIPANEL VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=5.5, 0.0, 0.0 VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.8 in panel.cfg file Can temporarily change view to correct position with Ctrl + Q. Would appreciate any suggetions. cheers John Cornish
  12. Wrote to OzRunways for a second time regarding support for Simulator Mode for FSX so that the moving map on OzRunways could be active whilst flying. OzRunways supports XPlane and I was interested to see if this functionality could be adapted for Microsoft Flight Simulator. I have included the reply from Rowan Willson at OzRunways. Maybe someone might be able to get this thing up and running. Hi John, Thanks for the email - we've actually been looking for somebody in the flight sim community to write a plugin for FSX to output lat/lon/altitude/heading in the same format that XPlane does so it can plug straight back directly into OzRunways. Basically, XPlane outputs a bunch of data in packets via UDP, which we "listen" in on and save the latest packets for use in OzRunways as a position. If FSX can simulate those packets via a plugin, it will work identical to if you were running XPlane. We looked into doing any native FSX support, but it was fairly difficult (Neil is the expert on that & didn't have much luck). Also what he did look into, was quite complicated to set up in FSX. A plugin would be 100 times simpler. Anyway if you want to post on the forums that would be great! As a sweetner, anybody who writes a good FSX plugin we can hook them up with 5 years OzRunways subscription This document provides details of how we set up XPlane to output on port 49002 to the iPad's IP address: http://www.ozrunways.com/site/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/OzRunways-Xplane9-Documentation.pdf The key is that the fields 18 (pitch/roll/heading), 20 (lat/lon/altitude) and 21 (loc, vel, distance travelled) are ticked & the FSX simulates the output the same as if you had ticked these in XPlane. A session on TCPDUMP and the XPlane dev forums should do the trick! Thanks again for your support, Cheers, Rowan.
  13. Having a spot of trouble finding the NGX SP1. Seems to have vanished.cheersJohn Cornish
  14. Found the problem. Had a Windows update recently. Thought was this may be the culprit as updates in the past have caused issues on my machine. If they have caused enough heartache a new update is usually released very quickly. Checked Windows Update and a warning came up saying my date/time was incorrect. Changed to correct settings in Control Panel and 'hey presto', all working. This had me throwing my hands up in the air for a while as all other add ons worked with the date/time out of sync including PMDG 747-400X. Hope this may assist someone else.cheersJohn Cornish
  15. Thanks for the reply Jose. If I close the screen asking for the Product Activation code once more another screen appears saying the product isn't validated and FSX locks up. I have tried entering the Product Activation Code several times but the request screen reappears every time. cheersJohn Cornish
  16. Validated 737NGX with key from purchase. Accepts code and states product is validated but next screen is asking for code again. I have had NGX running previously. Any recommendations? cheersJohn Cornish
  17. Thanks Alfredo, I don't have a wide screen but added the entry into the FSX.cfg file with no change.CheersJohn Cornish
  18. The 2D cockpit panel seems stretched in the vertical but too narrow in the horizontal plane. Any suggestions to resizing?cheersJohn Cornish
  19. The 2D cocpit panel is out of proportion seeming to be stretched in the vertical and too narrow horizontally. Any ideas on how to modify would be appreciated.cheersJohn Cornish
  20. Well I increased my page file size to over 4gb, I deleted the FSX.cfg file and allowed the program to build another, *******'d it and put in [Main]DisablePreload=1 entry. It worked.... for an extra minute then I got OOM message. Really strating to get under my skin so I deleted FSX and reloaded with SP1 then SP2. Loaded PMDG 737NGX and all looked OK. Loaded ORBX FTX Australia(High grade scenery package) and started getting OOM messages again. Disabled ORBX scenery and returned to FSX generic scenery. Had my first flight tonight. I really enjoyed the flight model but a little bit of reading required to fully appreciate the goodies inside. 2D Panel looks stretched{any hints for fix would be appreciated) but 3D panel looks very nice. Thanks for all those who threw in their two bobs worth. I love flying but am not that computer savvy and really appreciate those who are prepared to share their knowledge.cheersJohn Cornish
  21. Thanks to all for adding their bit. I have learned alot from other peoples experiences. Unfortunately I don't think tweaking systems settings to increase paging files etc... will help when I haven't got past the Free flight screen. No scenery, cockpit displays or other high memory demand graphics has been loaded at this stage except the rotating aircraft model and my machine is still suffering OOM issues. I will sit back and wait awhile and let the experts have some time to think this one through. CheersJohn Cornish
  22. Hello Geoff, Thanks for the reply. Checked the thread supplied but the /3G switch doesn't seem to apply to Win XP. 'The /3GB switch is supported only on the following operating systems:Windows 2000 Advanced Server Windows 2000 Datacenter Server Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition' I find it strange that there is memory problems before any scenery is loaded. I am still at the Free Flight screen where the only demands on CPU, memory and graphics card is of the rotating model. I think that there is a fundamental problem with the way the 737NGX program handles system memory.. Thanks for your input.cheersJohn Cornish
  23. Getting a message stating 'Your computer has run out of available memory.' It then goes on to say that I need to tweak settings in scenery etc to reduce demand on memory. At this stage I haven't left the FSX Free Flight screen. So I have loaded FSX, walked away for a while and returned to find the memory message. I restarted and watched the whole process and the selected rotating 737NGX starts up in skeleton form then slowly the outer skin is drawn. After about a minute it returns to skeleton form and I get the memory alert.I have tried ******* Altuve FSX.CFG tweak but to no evail. I can run PMDG 747-400X and IFly 737 with no problems.I suspect 737ngx is very demanding on computer resources.I am running Win XP 32bit, E6700 3.2Ghz CPU, 4gig ram, Ati Radion HD 5670 Graphics Card.Would appreciate any feedback.cheersJohn Cornish
  24. Thanks Shane you were right on the money, I flew up to FL280 while connected online with FSInn and watched temperature and EGT's.. Both perameters increased with altitude so that the TAT was +42deg and EGT's were around 650deg. Went off line and deselected FSInn weather and used FSX 'Real-World weather' . Outside air temp down to -22 and Exhaust Gas temps down to around 460 deg. Thanks for your assistance and time to write your piece. Much appreciated.cheersJohn Cornish
  25. I have PMDG 737-800 on FS9. Bought 747-400x when I bought FSX and tried to fly this. Having the following problem. I wish to climb to FL410. Put 1/3 full tanks with the PMDG fuel loader. Check results in CDU and fuel quantity has changed. Thrust Limit at -CLB. Perf Init setting cost index set to 98, then another attempt at max' of 500. With no change.Aircraft performed normally until about FL250 where it starts to slow and then wanders L/R along the track line. Would slow to stall speed and fall out of the sky if I allowed it. Auto pilot/auto throttle seem to be doing what they are supposed to do. Would appreciate some feedback from anyone else who might have seen this issue before. Cheers
