Hi ladies and gents. In my attempt to be as proficient as possible understanding and learning how to control the mighty PMDG 777. I constantly practice various short haul European flights.....I always return to my home base of egpf (Glasgow). I have a long way to go before I am fully knowledgeable of all aspects in this beautiful bird.....but I'm having real issues on landing at egpf....I.e after touchdown...my throttles spool back up to takeoff setting....even tho they are pulled back fully. Then tonight on my ILS approach runway23.... My descent wouldn't let me go past fl30....am I doing something wrong....or is there a bug somewhere? If anyone can have a go on this route, can you let me know how you did?. Thanks.

Cheers kyle....its only happened twice (rat deployment) in fact last time I never noticed it till airborne.... An was amazed by this technical and visual delight. Just looked amazing. Anyway....thanks again.

I'm having the same issue. programming the fmc...I used the direct input by pressing the space bar them d.c.s.....then discovered the rat had deployed. I had not left the ground and no engines started. If the rat is to be stowed on the ground (where I am) where is the command to ground crew to stow it? or is it a reset job? thanks.

Morvious.....I did turn the dome lights on .....then disaster. However....I have uninstalled fsx, pmdg777 and ezdok......have reinstalled and last night flew egpf to eham and ran like a dream. I also kept a close eye on the wind to see if there was any spikes. Will fly return leg tonight.....stand by. Cheers gents.

I did try a panel state setup a while ago...which created even more instability......but now I create the flight manually.... Thanks again.

Hi....does anyone else has an erratic autopilot issue on PMDG 777. This doesn't happen in every flight...but my autopilot can erratically switch itself off and the plane begins to roll out of control until I manually take over. The last time it happened, I had just gone to the overhead panel to switch on the dome light. The ap warning sound continues for the rest of the flight....and won't let me re engage the ap. Hi....I have recently bought the amd r9 270 graphics card. I am running win7 and fsx. The card and latest driver loaded perfectly....except that, when running fsx... My airport terminals are missing. Ai planes are parked with no buildings next to them. I have tried various other older drivers to no avail. Can anyone add any advice on this issue? Thanks Chucky35uk.

Mike...thanks for your reply. When fsx starts up the microlight is the default flight...I then change aircraft, time, location etc. I will have a look at your link.....stand by. Cheers Rfc

Hi...I have been trying to fly my PMDG 777 tutorial flight 1. The aircraft starts where it should (vrmm) with engines running. Problem is, there is no data on any flight instruments. Just colored empty boxes in all displays. Setting up the FMC works fine but info is not being transferred to pfd e.g. I am going to try shutting engines down to cold and dark then restarting but this is not what is in the tutorial 1 manual. Its displays are showing data. Anyone any idea? Thanks. Rfc

I'm learning the pmdg 747 procedures. I setup a practice flight from manchester to Edinburgh. A couple of issues developed during this flight. Firstly, the toga thrust switch failed to kick in during takeoff. Secondly, after an almost glitch free ifr journey, my descent into edinburgh int finished off with a touchdown on the field just before the runway. I was able to bump along the field then roll over the motorway before "safely" reaching the runway. I am chuffed to have progressed this far so soon...but need to know how these two problems occurred.Cheers.Chucky35uk.
