  1. Thanks Jake I'll look forward to trying it out
  2. How can I set up the NGX FMC so as when entering a co route on the route page I can see a drop down list of all the saved routes in the folder PMDG/FLIGHT PLANS/NGX.Thanks
  3. Check your FSX/PMDG/Sid/stars folder and check the date when they were last updated. Obviously just a glich in the fmc-ident.txt
  4. Well one things for sure anyway. . . sure stirred up a hornets nest!
  5. I'm using Traffic X in FSX and I find the sounds highly unrealistic. I've been thinking about UT2 but utube demos overide sound with music. From what I see of the aircraft they are much more realistic in UT 2 than TX, but how about the sounds. Those who have UT2 how do you rate the sounds of jets landing and taking off in comparison to TX?Thanks for your commentsRegards
  6. Dennis.Your a genius thanks alot that has solved it. It was in the calibration/ rudder pedals left and right that were not on max. You've no idea how long i'd put up with that for. Again many thanks for persevering.kind regards
  7. Dennis,Thanks again for your quick reply, that is not the problem they're both ticked. This problem is only apparent after you apply the brake as you begin to taxi. You only notice it by the high N1 % to keep the aircraft at taxi speed. When landing you don't notice it as the plane appears to free wheel correctly, not as if the brakes were partly on. When taxiing with average to high loads engines are approx 40% N1.Does anyone from PMDG have any idea of whats causing this.Thank you
  8. Hi Dennis,Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure what you mean by check "that you have the "Reverser" boxes checked in FSX control axes". If you mean the "REVERSE" then all that does is reverse the direction the throttle operates. Am I misunderstanding you here? The sensitivity settings are already on max. Also I didn't verify in the first post I do have FSX.
  9. Hi All,Having a problem with taxi speed and feel that it's not with the 737-800 NGX but somehow with my set up. Would greatly appreciate your help. Here is an example of a flight. Fuel load of 25%, payload consisting 87/174 Passengers1678Kg cargo for the front and 2041kg cargo in the rear. Here in lies the problem. When starting taxi it will begin to move between 23% and 24% N1 and if brakes are not used speed wil gradually pickup to about 20 knots. However when brakes are applied the Ngx will not begin to move again until an increase to about 28% N1 and she'll just crawl along at a rate of 1 knot not picking up speed until more thrust is appled. I'm using Saitek rudder pedals.Has anybody else had this problem? Also this happens with PMDG 747-400 as well which makes me think that the problem lies in the setup.
  10. Thanks to everyone for your help I've got it all sorted, changed auto throttle setting and moved throttle fully open on t/o.
  11. Thanks Shane I've done like you suggested and that works I can get the plane in the air. But there is still another problem that happens that I forgot to mention and that is when TO/GA is pressed either by the mouse click or on throttle quad both VNAV and LNAV deactivate and can't be reactivated again until plane is about 800 ft AGL . I do have Saitek Yoke Throttle and pedals.
  12. Hey Guys I don't know whether I'm doing something wrong or what but I'd appreciate some help. I have everything setup for Takeoff, O/H panel, FMC, lower ped and MCP all set ready to go.. Lined up on runway throttles advanced to 40% N1 TO/GA pressed and the Grand Lady leaps into action. barrelling down the runway we reach 80 knots plus and suddenly all engines drop back to 40% N1 and take off is aborted. I've tried to reason what I may be doing wrong but can't work it out. I've had no problem until I installed HF4. When SP1 came out deleted everything and reinstalled but still looses throttle 85 knots. Anybody any idea? Thanks
  13. That's correct, you have to make sure you choose an ILS runway and then G/S On/Off will always appear. If you choose for example 25R instead of ILS 25R then the G/S On/Off won't appear. Hope this helps.
  14. It seems as if there is no real favourite out there when it comes to ai traffic, but it comes down to individual preferences of which ai traffic suits our needs. You can't beat word of mouth to establish what might suit you the best.
  15. I use Traffic x for my ai traffic. My questions are:- Is there a better payware program available. Has anyone changed from traffic x to better solution. Has anyone used Traffic X in co-juction with 737ngx and have had problems? Be interested in hearing relies. Thanks
  16. Thanks for your help, Topcat might be the answer Graeme Tongs
  17. Hi Guys,Could someone please tell me how to work out the payload on the FMC to estimate fuel.Just can't seem to calculate such a simple task. ThanksGraeme Tongs
  18. Before quitting fsx when flying 737 NGX I save the flight but when I try to restart the sim again I keep getting a fatal error and fsx crashes to desktop. This keeps happening and the only way to restart fsx is to delete the saved files from the my Docs FSX folder. If i save the flight using any other aircraft besides the 737 ngx it doesn't cause the sim to crash. Any ideas out there guys has anyone else had this problem and if so how do we fix it? ThanksGraeme Tongs 737ngx fan
