September 18, 201114 yr Hi Guys,Could someone please tell me how to work out the payload on the FMC to estimate fuel.Just can't seem to calculate such a simple task. ThanksGraeme Tongs Graeme Tongs Auckland NZ
September 18, 201114 yr Might want to give TOPCAT a look: http://www.topcatsim.com/ Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

September 19, 201114 yr Which data must I enter in the profile for the PMDG 757 NGX in TOPCAT to match with the aircraft? Thanks in advance, Francisco Mateos
September 19, 201114 yr Which data must I enter in the profile for the PMDG 757 NGX in TOPCAT to match with the aircraft? Thanks in advance, Francisco Mateos +1 Were could I find the data for TOPCAT profile, i.e., DOW, MZFW, MTOW, MLW, Cargo Capacity, Fuel Capacity? September 19, 201114 yr Which data must I enter in the profile for the PMDG 757 NGX in TOPCAT to match with the aircraft? Thanks in advance, Francisco Mateos That will be difficould. You may find data for a PMDG 737 NGX or for a PMDG 757, but surely not for a PMDG 757 NGX Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!
September 20, 201114 yr I would really try and use the PMDG system built into their FMC on the NGX – I have found it to be very good at estimating how much fuel is needed, in fact it’s pretty much spot on most of the time... Kimberly.

September 21, 201114 yr Might want to give TOPCAT a look: http://www.topcatsim.com/ AlTOPCAT does not take into acccount any winds aloft when calculating fuel required for a flight. I use TOPCAT mainly for weights and balance, flap settings, flex and assumed temperatures, remaining runway, etc. I never use it for fuel calculations. I use Vroute Premium for domestic U.S. routes and that seems to work fine. It has the PMDG 737-600 thru 900 models but I am sure that is for the FS9 737 that PMDG released awhile back. On a short flight like KMIA-KTPA winds aloft would not make much difference but on KJFK-KLAX Vroute Premium is spot on for the 737-800. As an aside, VRoute Premium does not do a good fuel estimation for lomg distance flights such as EDDF-KLAX in the MD-11. Both of these programs are payware. There is a freeware version of VRoute but I don't think it calculates fuel required. Michael Cubine Michael Cubine
