  1. They're back up today I'm happy to say. Here's the explanation of what happened:The company which hosts our server experienced a major failure (hardware, phones, etc.) three days ago. As a result, everything was lost and the site went down. Fortunately, UVA maintains off-site backups and has all key data from a backup taken shortly before the site went down. System restoration is in progress.
  2. Anyone know what has happened UVA? I've been trying to get onto their site for several days now and the server seems to be down - http://united-virtual.com/

  4. Thanks again Opa. The new install from yesterday had the files in the ProgramData folder you pointed me to before and this time I erased them - I am now questioning my previous failed attempt to find files there. I have done a new install and this time it looks like everything is working properly. You've been a huge help - can't thank you enough.Cheers,Don
  5. Well - finished a clean install (At least I thought it was) and I'm still getting the same error. How do I get completely rid of FSX? It doesn't seem to be un-installing properly.Don
  6. Still no luck. Getting "Invalid Remote scenery path in scenery Area.115"I've decided to clean everything out and start again with a fresh install. The installer "knows" there was a previous installation in spite of my efforts to clean everything out - going with repair and praying.Cheers,Don
  7. Neither FSX files nor Microsoft folder in my \ProgramData\ folder. I have two scenery config files - one in the main FSX folder (which is on my J drive - SSD exclusively for FSX) - the other is in C/.../users/yourusername/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX.Cheers,Don
  8. That's what I now have, but I had to create it - it wasn't put there during the install - and the scenery & texture folders are empty.BTW the config file in Win7 (64 bit) is in the directory: .../users/yourusername/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX
  9. Thanks for this Bert. Moved the Addon scenery folder from Scenery folder up to FSX folder. Still no luck. Getting "Invalid Remote scenery path in scenery Area.115"Cheers,Don
  10. Thanks Opa for your detailed response. I found the two Scenery.cfg files and they are identical. As in your case, the Addon scenery is area 115 and it is active - first line on my scenery library settings. There is however no folder or subfolder called Addon scenery in the scenery folder in FSX. This is probably because I have not added any scenery yet, but I don't know.I went ahead and created the folders to make it look like they exist - even though they are empty. Still gives the same error message on start up.Thanks again for your help. Any more ideas?Cheers,Don
  11. Local scenery directory (Addon Scenery/SCENERY) in scenery Area.115 not foundI'm getting this error message on start up. Doesn't seem to affect anything - I don't have add on scenery unless FScene4X counts - and I don't think it does. I did some re-installs of FSX after it began to lock up on start up. I think the lock up was caused by a faulty logbook file but I'm not certain. Did at least two re-installs to get it all working. But now it's giving me this error on start up.I'd like to get to the bottom of this error as I'm now having problems with other add ons.Thanks,Doni7-960 3.20 GHz, HDD 1.5TB SATA-II, Asus P6T Intel X58, 6GB DDR3/1800MHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX285 1GB, SSD 128GB KINGSTON, Win7[64 bit], FSX SP2, FScene4X
