  1. That's very interesting, Thanks guys, I eventually found the toggle in the CDU, as I would never have thought it to be an option. What an amazing simulation this is!! Rob
  2. Hi All, I seem to be missing the taxi light switch in the Polar Air Cargo (N451PA) downloaded through the Operation Center. I have not found an option in the CDU to toggle it, but may have missed it. The other 400F's I have have the swith but this one does not ... any thing i can check? See the below screen shot: I have updated the livery to the latest one too. Thanks Robert Please forgive my blondeness.... I found the taxi light in the CDU!! Rob
  3. I would love a copy too please? How about uploading to AVSIM for us all to download? Dankie! Robert
  4. Go to www.nmgtrading.co.za they have modelled most of the major airports in SA, and have done a pretty good job! They even have FALE, but I'm still not sure how to get my aerosofts MyTraffic 2010 to recognise this airport and use it instead of FADN.
  5. That looks STUNNING!Which variant is this for? Please could you make a 900 winglet version?ThanksRob
  6. Thanks alot peeps, I didn't get a chance to try it out last night, but will definitely try it out this weekend and let you know my findings!RegardsRobert
  7. So my frantic pressing of the APP button would not help and I should really have slightly more patience and wait for Land 3 to activate?
  8. Hey all, I have been trying to use the autoland feature on the NGX for quite some time now, I have followed all procedures in the tutorial, and the various checklists that have popped up on here, and find that getting the "LAND 3" to come up is a hit and miss affair. I followed the tutorial to the letter last night, and as the plane caught the glide slope after enabling APP, and G/S became active on the PFD, I selected CMD B on the MCP, however where Land 3 is usually displayed on the PFD, it says "Single CH" where the tutorial states it should be "F/D" until 1500ft AGL, this did not happen. I frantically pressed the APP button and all of a suden "LAND 3" activated and the plane performed a beautiful autoland. So can anyone suggest to me what my faults might have been in the procedure? something I might have overlooked? etc Thanks in advanceRob
  9. She is working beautifully!!! I had a combination of factors that I think was causing my issues.... The plane would take extremely long to load into the free flight menu, then even longer once you got into the actual flight, I had a suspicion that the sim was struggling to find and acces the NGX dlls, as when I recreated the fsx.cfg, it would take extremely long to ask to register and approve the dlls, so that was the first of my problems. So either my FSX install had gone for a ball of .... or my Windows registry was corrupted, I don't know, but find it strange that these porblems only popped up after the NGX install, anyway my hard drive that had FSX installed on then decided that it had had enough, and started giving me I/O errors So I decided to buy 2 new Hard drives as both of the old ones were the same and I did not want to suffer the same fate with my OS drive... So I installed Win7, installed FSX and the NGX on the new drives, and now she works like a charm! I am sooo happy! Cannot wait to get home this afternoon and FLY!!!
  10. Thanks Simon, yeah I understand that the routes won't be planned yet, but the general idea will be to go via England, then down through Africa. The plane should be empty apart from the flight crew, and the fuel? and they will fly the max range on that config?
  11. Simon, Howzit, another fellow "Sefrican" here. THANKS so much for this info, it is awesome!!You said that Boeing is delivering some new 800s to Kulula in the new year, any possibility of the possible routing they would use to get the bird here? Lekker man,Rob
  12. Well, I now have a working NGX aircraft... I had to do a full re-install of FSX and Acceleration, but now it seems to be working! YAY! Something was screwy with the config of my FSX which come right after the re-install! I have not installed any other add-ons just yet, I want to play around with this one to see how it goes!!Thanks for all the tips and advice... I am really pleased to be able to get her running! Woo hoo!
  13. Hi Nico, In my case, I am running a 1000W power supply, that runs FSX and the PMDG747 and JS4100 perfectly, every other game that I have tried I can run at the highest or nearly the highest settings, so it is highly unlikely that it is causing the issues. It is only the 737NGX that has given me some grief. I must commend the support team now, they have been helping me troubleshoot the problems, and are giving me solutions to try all the time! Thanks for the tip though!RegardsRobert
  14. Hi Chris thanks, This machine has run at a stable overlock for quite a while now, and I have seen considerable gains in FSX because of it. Just for interest sake, I set the system back to stock to test if that was the cause for the undesirable circumstances with the NGX, but unfortunately the same thing happened, so I doubt it is that. I do agree with you that more RAM will help, but sincerely doubt that that is the culprit here as the machine as it is runs FSX and the other PMDG products very well. I am trying to get my hands on some more RAM to test with. Thanks for the tips thoughRob
