Fmc Locked
First, the 777-300ER is amazing. Only one problem I had yesterday. After changing data, I´ve got the EICAS message "FMC message" and the take off speeds are deleted. I confirmed the new speeds and everything seems to be ok. But everytime I press the recall button, on EICAS the "FMC message" information was visible. On FMC there was no message visible. So I ignored this. After TakeOff I want to enter a FIX, which could be done without a problem. Also I could enter bearing and distance. A second FIX could also be entered. But then I couldn´t enter bearing or distance for the second FIX. If I press any FMC-Button, nothing occurs. Only on right side of the FMC the "Msg" light alights. I changed the page, try to enter the ref-speeds for approach, but this was also not possible. The FMC was locked. On legs-page I could also not enter something, down select didn´t work. With keyboard or mouse, no success. Now I decide to use the right FMC. First I checked the failures, but no were activated. On right FMC I could enter all FIX-data and also Approach-Speed, change waypoints. After doing this, the "FMC message" on EICAS was deleted. But left FMC shows "MSG" on the right and was locked as before. It´s not a big deal, I could land in Manila using the right FMC for all operations. But maybe someone else have the same problem, I described all steps to reproduce it. Did I something wrong? Best Regards, Peter Hornfeck, Germany

Tool for Save ASE2012 Weather from Clipboard
Hello, this tool can save the ASE2012 Weather from clipboard if copied like in PMDG-Tutorial-Videos. Extract the WXtoPMDG.exe into PMDG/WX folder. Than add a link to it to your desktop. After copy the ASE2012 weather to clipboard, start WXtoPMDG. The Departure and Destination ICAOs are shown. You can save it. That´s all. Attention, this tool needs VB6 runtime dll. It shoud be on your computer if you use FSInn. Otherwise, you can find it on Microsoft support pages. http://www.flightdeckmagazin.com/app/download/6224355781/WXtoPMDG.zip?t=1378570175 Thanks to PMDG-Team for this amazing airplane.

Speedbrakes not up
Maybe this is the solution for this problem: Simon Holderness wrote in his post http://forum.avsim.net/topic/347021-comparisons-to-rl/page__st__75"The PF will arm the speedbrake by pulling it out of it's detent until the 'Speed Brake Armed' light illuminates. Surprisingly, even if you forget this action, as soon as you pull the thrust levers into reverse on the ground, they'll come up anyway. Clever Boeing!"Thanks for that, it gaves me an idea how to solve the problem. Using Saitek and set reverse thrust on the throttle I made this cofiguration in FSUIPC Very important to check "Key press to repeat while held". Next I used Key Pressed to link the Reverser with the Spoilers. That´s all. Like IRL, the Spoilers will be deployed if using reverse thrust. The FS2Crew FO will know recognice the spoilers are deployed. And outside of the airplane they will. Thanks again to Simon Holderness and his very interesting report.

15 years ago I did my own business in developing applications for companies. My explanation of the error is correct and a developer with knowledge could understand what happens in the source code. It

It must be a bug because this behavior is not common:Switching between HDG - DIRECT INTC -> everything okaySwitching between HDG - VOR -> the bug is visible under the explained circumstancesSwitching between FMC - HDG -> the bug is visible under explained cirumstancesSwitching between TRK - HDG -> but is visible under explained circumstancesIf you like it, you can try by yourself:RJBB, after departure HDG 234 -> VOR TMEafter overflying VOR TME fly outbound Radial 234Distance 18.8 NM after VOR TME - Change to VOR AJE Radial 184, Course = 004So the airplane have to turn right To do this:Enter AJE Frequenzy and Course 004 into FMC, but do not activate it.Nearly 10 NM after overflying VOR TME I prepare to intercept the VOR AJETo do this, I turn the Heading knob to 334

Please read my posts. I wrote, that if I would pull the button BEFORE the waypoint the airplane would change the course to the right without showing an arc to the right before pull the knob. Because I didn

@Paul Smithplease believe me. The PMDG MD 11 is the best addon I know. And I use the B737NG and B747. Both airplanes are worth to buy, I like them too. But the MD 11 is phantastic, the simulation of alternate gear, the VC, all is absolutley top of programming and the developers did a top job. The pdf are very good to understand, a lot of informations available. Really, the PMDG MD 11 is the best addon on market. But you can also believe the situations we describe. I gave 3 examples of this programm error. The pictures of my first example are not so clear as the pictures of Paul. But it is the same problem.Your opinion is, you turn the knob, the arc shows you the turn-direction. If you like it, you pull the knob. If you do not like it, you push the knob to reset the HDG to the currenct flown heading and then turn the knob to the direction you want. That

@Paul, maybe the Heading Problem could be prevented when not only turning the Headingbutton. Everytime I use it, first I push it. I hope this will work. :(

I did it before, but it makes no difference. I also tried to set Auto Brakes back to Med, than use brakes, nothing changed. And it was no autoland, after approach only was show, the Autopilot was disengaged at 1500 ft.Now I do not set Auto Brakes to OFF before I am on the taxiway to the gate.Regards Peter

Hi Paul, yes, it must be a bug. I had a similar situation approaching EDDF, I had to leave a waypoint at a heading with left turn and then the airplane makes a nearly 360

Hi, I think my pictures will explain why and what happens. But when Autoland is activated, it will override the NAV and HDG selections. No bug. Maybe in 747 I had to deactivate the FlighDirector
