FMC: Does anyone noticed this already...?
After loading the aircraft into FSX I noticed these strange characters on the IDENT page. They will not show up on every flight, but rather randomly. It´s mostly on the captains FMC and more rare on the FO side. Everything besides this is working normal and the functionality of the systems is not affected. I am on Win XP Home + SP3, FSX + SP2, PMDG release version + Hotfix Bjoern Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Already did this without success. I did´nt realize, that you can have different settings for Captain and FO. Choose let´s say 200 for minimums radio altitude on the Captains side, then this value is automatically reflected to FO. Same with the baro settings. And RST does not reset the values as it is stated in the Operation Manual, it merely switches off the annunciation. In my opinion the solution for the repeated callouts would be to flag the soundfile for playing only one time. Something for the programmers. As a workaround I have disabled the relevant sounds in the styles menue for now.

I know, that I can uncheck the sounds in Configuration manager. Nevertheless, I would like to hear them all, but only one time and not doubled or even more often.Maybe I was not clear enough in my post above:Multiple callouts means, that I hear the "1000" and the "500" callouts twice or even three times in sequence when approaching the runway. Sometimes also the "Approaching minimums" and "Minimums" sounds are repeated twice.Bjoern

Is there any way to avoid the multiple altitude callouts on final approach? This issue has been discussed in the iFly forum. After all, i am not sure, if it is a bug. Fact is, that the "one thousand" and also the "five hundred" calls are re-triggered from the radio altitude annunciator. The numbers there are some times jumping very heavily back and forth during descent (depending on the terrain structure).Bjoern
