  2. Yeah, Bryan, you've done a great job of showing the pre-flight as optional. I was never confused about that! In my case, I find it's actually more efficient to use PreFlight. I let the FO set up the cockpit while I get check the weather, review procediures/SIDs/STARs/etc. Doing the manual click-down of the PF clock works for me, even if it's a bit clunky. (More clicks, but very straightforward to understand.)

  4. Hi, Bryan,Before I begin, let me say (again) that I'm really impressed with this product. It totally changes the 737 experience in a good way! I'm loving the pre-flight feature, despite the fact that I get a certain thrill out of flipping switches on the overhead. Unfortunately, I rarely seem to have a lot of time for flying these days, and the 30 minute pre-flight eats into my limited time. I tend to solve this by clicking on the countdown time to artificially reduce it, but it seems to flummox poor co-pilot. I've noticed on occasion that some switches aren't flipped, such as one of the fuel pumps; I'm guessing I'd interrupted the flow before he'd had a chance to turn them on. I'd like to find a way to do, say, a 15 minute pre-flight without just messing with the countdown. I'd be willing to trade some realism for speed in this case.I notice that there seems to be a pre-flight time in the configuration panel, and it even has a little down arrow next to it, but for me, clicking the down arrow does nothing -- it seems to be locked at 30 minutes. Is there a way to change this value, and does changing it result in a smooth but shorter pre-flight? In other words, does reducing the time (if possible) cause all the normal events to happen in the right order, just closer together?If not, is there a convenient list of what happens at which times in the pre-flight, so I can manually click down the countdown through the "dead spots" without confusing anyone? (I can figure this out myself if necessary, if you don't have this information handy.)If the answer is no, there's currently no way to reduce the pre-flight without sacrificing some of the actual procedures, I wonder if there's a way to simply jump into a preflight that's already in progress? For example, a 20 minute preflight would begin with all the overhead switches already set, the APU on, and the co-pilot announcing he's back from the walkaround. I may be the only person who cares about this, and I'm sure that I can figure out my own system if there's really no official method.
