Starting APU without any ground connection
Schullebernd replied to Schullebernd's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
Thank you guyes for your help. Got the APU running now. I think the Problem is, when you turn on and off many switches, especially the bus-switches, something seems to run out of normal. When I reload a complete new flight and proceed the startup procedure from a fresh loaded cold&dark cockpit everything works well and the apu starts with the first try. If you only reload the panel-state --> strange, sometimes working, sometimes not. -
Is this preformance normal with an i7 2600K?

Computer crashes when selecting the new 737
Schullebernd replied to cliffardus's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
Only fsx or Complete Windows? If only fsx is stopping you can try this.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/343443-crash-to-desktop-when-loading-ngx-my-solution-x52-flight-sysstem/page__fromsearch__1I had the same Problem. -

Whats your Problem Mr. fsx.cfg? Are you the only one Knowing each cfg entry? I don't think so. And I know that the poolsize Setting has no effect when using no pools. Just copied my settings Not more. I Know what i do when i want to optimize settings and im definitely no Computer Amateur. -
Good Point! Thanks for that. The support team suggested me to remove the "Previous Flight.x" files from the MyDocuments\FlightSimulatorX-Files Folder. After removing the files I could load my NGX while the Flight System is plugged in to the computer. These are the files:Previous Flight.FLTPrevious Flight.FSSAVEPrevious Flight.WXPrevious Flight.FMC I know this but I had no other chance as to try this... Hello all, after a complete afternoon of testing I've found out why I get a crash to desktop (CTD) when loading the NGX. It happens when loading the plane in Free Flight Menu and also if you first start a flight with f.e. a cesna and then load the NGX. I've reinstalled the plane and all VC++ 2008 redistributables with no luck. The last option was to start fsx and load the plane while my Saitek X52 Flight System is not connected to the computer. And surprise surprise everything works. I can't believe it but it's true. I can reproduce by plugging in the X52 System and the start fsx and load the NGX --> CTD!!! You can plugin the X52 after successfull load of the NGX and it will work. Greets Marcel

Sorry for that. There were no reaction to the solution. Anyway.... I've also REX 2 installed and with a system like yours I don't think that REX with all options to high quality will degree the performance of fsx too much. After some tests my fps descented about 4-5 fps at my system (Core i5 2500K @ 4GHz | Nvidia GTX280 | 4GB RAM 1600). But I've set many tweakes in my fsx.cfg. Here some examples:[Main]FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.30SWAP_WAIT_TIMEOUT=30[JOBSCHEDULER]AffinityMask=15[bUFFERPOOLS]UsePools=0RejectThreshold=102400PoolSize=2097152 [Display]SKINNED_ANIMATIONS=1TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=70 [TERRAIN]TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_BUILDINGS_PER_CELL=1500TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=1500 These are the main tweaks I've done in my fsx.cfg. Maybe some of them will give you also 25-35 fps. (I'had the same problem like you before started tweaking) -
the throttle only push power to one engine?
Schullebernd replied to gueyo's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
Had the same problem yesterday and after starting a new flight in cold and dark everything was ok. I'm a newbe with the boeing and pushed many many (many) buttons and knobs till I got the engines started. And when I pushed the throttle only the right engine fired up. Stange but I can't reproduce the effect. -

Hey, As I said before and Stefan (masaki) too. Please try to set water effects to low 1.x. Water effects is THE frame killer. -

Simple set your water effects to low 1.x. You can turn the other effects like lense flare on (attention: no light bloom), they are not so gpu/cpu intensive. You can also set the filter to anisotrop. After this, play with the autogen density slider. -
Eduardo, a Core2Duo is not bad. Maybe you graphicscard is not the best choice, but I think it should run on your system. The manual provides some fsx.cfg optimization options and there are many other fsx.cfg tuning tutorials in the internet. With the help of these I think you can get much more fps.
