  1. Thanks for the suggestion, but nothing there to answer my question.
  2. I am doing a repaint of the POSKY A330-300 and cant find which texture file the starboard main gear doors are on. The port one is on " a330fuse3and4_t ".,I have painted this and is ok..Any help will be most appreciated.
  3. Youre right the layer mask does effect the colours and if the mask is hidden the real colour is shown. What does the mask do? it dosnt seem do do anything on the base fuse texture were only the fuselage is shown!
  4. I am painting on the "bg" layer and have now found out that all the paint kit files are affected and not just the "fuse_base" file. It is really annoying as I have already painted ( a few hours work!! ) the tail fin!! and then to find out that the rest of the paint kit is not working correctly is more than annoying.
  5. Thanks Joe, it makes no difference and if I save it as an bmp it is the same . The file I am using is the A380_fuse_base_for_GIMP.psd .
  6. I am doing a repaint of the Project Airbus A380 using their paint kit and Gimp 2.6, but when I select a colour and paint a part of the fuselage area the colour appears a different shade of the selected colour , but if I use the colour picker it appears as the correct colour!!
  7. Yesterday I posted "Keep a copy of fsx CFG file it may help if FSX crashes", I explained how to find "fsx CFG", I am sorry, but forgot to mention that you must first enable "Show Hidden Folders", to access the "AppData" folder, do this you must type in the Start menu - Search Programs & Files "Folder Options" & select "view" & check the box "show Hidden Folders" & select "Apply", now you will be able to see the "AppData" folder.
  8. If you are an FSX flyer, it maybe a good idea to make a copy of the "fsx CFG" file, as I fortunately had a copy & when my FSX crashed with a report "Fatal error had occured" after I tried doing some changes to one of the aircraft configurations. It restarted ok but radios & gps would not work! I replaced the "fsx CFG" file with the copy & all is ok.This is how to find the "fsx CFG" : Start menu - User name (on start menu( your name maybe?) above "Documents") - AppData - Roaming - Windows - FSX.Make sure that the folder you are pasting it to is open, if you try & copy & paste it into a folder after pasting somewhere else it will change it to a "text document".
