  1. I think this is fairly normal with most payware aircrafts if your system is running out of resources. As you come into land the simulator tends to load all the extra scenery\etc so the system struggles to keep up. Chris
  2. Thanks MTN1289, worked a treat. Chris
  3. Screenshot attached.
  4. All, Has anyone else experienced the problem with the 3 displays shimmering\having lines running diaganolly through them. I am not sure if this is by design to simulate crt screens but it is slightly off putting. I am using an ATI card if this helps. Thanks in advance, Chris Stanhope
  5. Hi,I think I have fixed it, I added the following to the fsx.cfg (I read about this on the concorde X site):STALE_BUFFER_THRESHOLD=2147483647If I switch between windowed and full screen the memory footprint reduces a fair amount.Currently doing a flight between LHR and Abu Dhabi so will see if it comes up again. Thanks for your help.Chris Stanhope
  6. Jack,You are confusing 2 different things, one is the service pack for fsx which you will need to update. Either download the service pack from the ms website here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=a0437942-e3dc-4aa7-85dc-90aae2f0409e for service pack 1http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=204fee1e-f8de-4b21-9a32-5a41a3e27ff0 for service pack 2Or install the acceleration pack that includes it.The other is for Windows which is optional but I tend to run all the updates that come in.
  7. Hi Jack,First question means you will need to run the service pack update against FSX. YOu should be able to get this from the Microsoft Site.Secondly, you have a 64-bit OS installed on your pc so therefore you have the following:C:\program files This is for 64-bit applicationsC:\program files(x86) This is for 32-bit applications. FSX is a 32-bit application so will be installed here.Chris
  8. Thanks DownCC,A box appears saying that the system is out of memory and to try and reduce graphics or traffic settings. Have not followed the instructions as I don't get it on other add-ons so wanted to make sure there was not something else.I have done the highmemfix I believe but will double check. Thanks,Chris
  9. All,I have a slightly odd issue with the MD11 in that I get out of memory errors when running on Windows 7 64-bit.I own all of the PMDG add-ons for FSX (J41\747) and have not experienced any of these issues with these planes or any other. I tend to get the error after 40 minutes or so of flying and when running in windowed mode I can see that memory for fsx is hitting 3gb which is not unusual and normally past that level with most add-ons.My system is a quad core Q9400 overclocked to 3.36GHZ, 4GB memory (Kingston HyperX).What I have seen of the plane is breathtaking and I thought the J41 was good, this is amazing! Thanks in advance,Chris Stanhope
  10. Bryan, thanks for the quick answer. AS I said great product and will definitely pick up a copy for MD11 when I get it.ThanksChris
  11. Hi,Firstly I want to say that the fs2crew products are fantastic add-ons, I have the j41 and 747 ones so far.Do voice edition owners have to purchase the button edition of j41 or is it free? Thanks in advance,Chris
