So, for those out of the beta, let's continue waiting for the solution to the fake update window that puts your sim in windowed mode and let's continue to be ready to press ALT + ENTER at each time the sim starts. Not good

It's somewhat true, but the move is needed for many additional reasons

(They are separate issues, I have the windowed mode bug but not the stuff Bob Mentions in his first post)
Yes, probably. It's weird all those kind of things happening at the same time.

PC users that were obtaining a flash update window with no update at all and the sim starts up in windowed mode, even if it’s set to full screen mode.

Looks like the issue has been solved for those in the SU15 Beta, with the latest Beta released today. For those who are not in the Beta, we should wait until next Tuesday 26 with the official SU15 release

This is a known bug and MS/Asobo mentioned it will be solved with the official SU15 release. In the meantime, if your sim starts up in windowed mode, just press ALT + ENTER to make it full screen again.

Hopefully this will be fixed.
We have no way of doing anything about it.Apart from the known fact that MS will never tell it's their fault.

I got the access to the online documentation from day one. Didn’t know that they were problems with that
-
Got the same exact issue. Now, at every start of the sim I have to put it in full-screen mode manually. Dear MS!

I don’t really use it too much

Got the same quick Installation Manager update screen, that disappeared too fast to allow me to check anything. Then the sim started to load in windowed mode, so I pressed the Alt + ENTER to put in full screen and luckily everything went fine and could complete a short flight. I think something's should be going on with the MS Servers.

Is not my preffered aircraft to fly, but the Duckworks looks a more complete mod compared to the other (the later is mainly focused on improving the performance characteristics of the DC-3). Look in the respective descriptions at Flightsim.to and you'll find better what exactly each mod offers.

A bit more on my initial issue
I think the window showing errors during the LNM start-up comes from the rejection of several maps that no longer have a supported service (US-Helicopter, US-ifr's, a total of six). After deleting those map services, the main LNM window is active as usual. There should be a way to avoid this

Error or warning windows normally remain open and do not disappear automatically. Maybe that's what you closed using Alt+F4. This makes sense.
You can always download one of the 3.0.5 Zip files and use the portable mode to try it out without messing up your main configuration.
To speed up starting disable all unneeded online stuff. Especially online services which can delay startup or block the program shortly after starting.
- Disable web server in menu Tools
- Uncheck all unneeded weather in options on page "Weather" and in main menu "Weather".
- Deselect "Download oceanic tracks on startup" in menu flight plan
- Exclude the LNM options folder "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ABarthel" from anti-virus scanning. Maybe the LNM installation folder too. Instead scan the folder manually after installation.
Edit: You can send me an issue report if you run into the same problem.
Alex
Ok, thanks, I'll try

You maybe ran into a issue with the web server which took too long to find all computer addresses. This was fixed in 3.0.4.
Alex
What I meant is that the LNM window was not active when opened, and had to press Alt + F4 to make it active. What I noticed when I tried to start LNM is that it took long to load the main view (map view) and it tried to open a small window in the background that I suppose was the window that remained active, but it disappeared after the main screen was loaded up, and that is when I needed to press Alt+F4 to make the main LNM screen active. Is that a normal behavior? and what should I do to avoid this?.

Not that Boeing has no issues, but this video has a strong tendency to create alarm
-
These new versions have given several issues to me during the install and setup (frozen windows, had to press Alt + F4 to unfrozen). I'm reverting to 2.8.12 as well (using MSFS)

Ask for help to the FS Dream Team (GSX) guys. Looks something's wrong with their Couatl module and your installation, most probably it was not properly updated/installed, who knows?

The dependencies (part of what I call configuration files of the app), are all stored in the same location in C:\ProgramData\....
A computer change or a windows re-install are operations that I suppose you don't perform very often.
-
On my two MSFS installations (PC and laptop), the configuration files like presets, dependencies, etc. of the MSFS Addons Linker are installed by default on C:\ProgramData\MSFS Addons Linker. So, each time there's an update of the application, the configuration files should remain unchanged.
There's an option in Tools --> Options --> General Tab to change the location of your presets if you wish.

SU 15 Delayed.
in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)

Apparently solved for people in the SU15 beta. The good thing about this bug is that the spinning circle "CHECKING FOR UPDATES" is not present 😆
