  1. Hi, I think we may be having the same problem. My PMDG 737 freezes in flight as soon as I select flaps past 1. I have the B747 and B77 and they don't do that. I also posted this under another thread so it seems like a few people are experiencing some form of lock up or freeze with the B737 and Prepar3d. I'm running V4.1 and windows 10.
  2. Hey, Just experienced this today. First time it's happened and I usually don't fly the 737 NGX that much. Today I just wanted to practice an approach so no flight plan or star was loaded. Nothing worked except the standby compass (see video below). I couldn't raise or lower the gear, the flight control surfaces didn't move and I couldn't trim the aircraft either. I was able to recreate the exact same scenario after a complete shut down and reboot of Prepar3d. The point at which it froze was on flap selection. Tried the TAB button, nothing worked. Any ideas? P3D V4.1, Windows 10, Orbx, Active Sky Next, Chase Plane, GSX
  3. Hey all, I created my own panel state using the default PMDG short start. Everything goes ok except for when I start the engines (Autostart enabled). I use FS2Crew to start the engines but as soon as I put the fuel switches to run, I get the audio and caution light. From that point on, there's no way to cancel the caution light. Anyone else experiencing this problem? https://youtu.be/pa-A7fhSDeM P3D V4.1, PMDG 747 II (latest update), FS2Crew, Kind regards, Jermaine Lindsay Windows 10, i7 7700K, GTX1080ti, SSD x 2
  4. Hi Philip, yea that wouldn't be an option for me because I run FSpassengers and Radar Contact. Btw, impressive gig you got there. Are you running FSX or FS9?
  5. Hi John,So I managed to play around with wireless networking and widefs succesfully. I then went and bought a crossover cable and have managed to get that working too. It's a really nice addition to my sim! Thanks for you help and advice.Jermaine
  6. Yea me too. I bought the 747 and 767 voice commander within days of each other. Really impressed with both but the Level D version is standing out right now with all the autopilot commands you can do.Overall two great products! :(
  7. Yea the exact same thing happened to me lol... I had to turn off the outer tanks and feed from the tanks that were fuller until I had a balance.. Only thing is, by the time I got them just about balanced, I was on approach! :( I know this is the 747 forum but I just bought the Level D version and it's even better! I'm about to try it on a long haul flight and see if I get the same thing with the fuel config.
  8. Hi guys,I've just bought the FS2crew PMDG voice commander and let me tell you, boy am I impressed! I'm about to buy the Level D one next :( Excellent product, no complaints at all. I was worried that I'd have all kinds of problems with Windows 7 64 bit but it works perfectly.... Just one question though, have FS2crew removed the funtion where the co-pilot would automatically set tank to engine or have I missed something somewhere? I really liked that feature on the older one. I don't recall seeing it mentioned in the documentation anywhere but maybe it is (forgive me)...Thanks a lot,Jermaine...
  9. Hi John, thanks for your reply. Can you point me in the right direction on where to get started with Networking and Flightsim? I'm pretty new to networking on the whole. I've just registered a copy of WideFS and I don't have a router. I'm trying to do a direct Laptop to Laptop connection using an Ethernet Cable... Not sure if that's possible or not! :( I've also read that you can connect two laptops wirelessly.Thanks,Jermaine.
  10. Hi guys,I just recently bought a new laptop with windows 7 64bit (which I wish I could uninstall and go back to XP!!). I've had a few issues with FS9 like everyone else probably has had but I am sorting it out one by one. I still have my old lap top with Windows XP and I was wondering if anyone has successfully networked these two platforms together using WideFS.I run Active Sky Evolution, FS Commander etc and it would be nice to have these all run on another the old laptop so I can leave FS9 to run on the newer one. Any advice? Thanks,Jermaine.
  11. Hey, thanks for the info... After going to the MSI website I found another feature that increases perfomance called the turbo button...Apparently this overclocks the processor (or something like that) Pretty good! http://www.msi.com/i...35&prod_no=2122As for the graphics side of it, like some of you suggested, I went to the power settings and put the sliders to maximum performance. I also went to the Nvidia control panel and made sure that the Nvidia card is the default card for FS9. As you said, it won't show up in FS9 but there seems to be a definite improvement in appearance. Wether or not it's switching to the Nvidia card i don't know but I can live with what I'm getting at the moment. At and around Las Vegas area on default scenery, I got between 40 and 60 Frames per second. I'll retry the scenery and see how that goes. One thing I did notice too was that the graphics seemed better in full screen mode rather than in windowed mode... The frame rates seemed to go up to when I ran it full screen. Thanks for everyone's replies!
  12. Hi Jim,The Laptop I'm using is a MSI FX600. On default settings I do get decent frame rates. It just doesn't seem to be able to handle any scenery when you'd expect a system of that spec to be able to. I'm almost finished installing all my add-ons, I only use payware such as Level D and PMDG and they all seem to be running well. If I continue to get decent frame rates when I install Active Sky Evolution, I may just leave it. It's just really strange that I'm not able to select my Nvidia graphics card.@3green: There are dedicated gaming Laptops out there like Alienware and many others. I do a lot of travelling so I have no choice but to use a laptop. I don't think that a Laptop with 4gigs of ram and a 1 gig graphics card is far off a gaming machine. What are you running? Thanks,Jermaine.
  13. Ok I've got no idea how to do that but I'll google it and see what I come up with. One thing though, when I disabled the onboard graphics card, the screen went blank and I thought it should have switched to the Nvidia card but it didn't.. I had to shut it down by holding the power button and when it rebooted, I checked the device manager and the onboard device was still disabled but there were no Nvidia menu options. The resolution went back to 800x600 and the max I could get was 1280x768. When I enabled the onboard and rebooted, everything went back to normal.
  14. Hi, thanks but that didn't work... My screen just went blank. Both drivers are there in the device menu though... I tried going to the Nvidia control panel and there were options there to make FS9 use the graphics card which I did, but in flight sim itself, it's still only showing the internal HD graphics card....
  15. Hi Everyone,I've searched through the forums and haven't found anyone with the same problem (if of course it is actually a problem). My issue is this, I've just bought a new laptop and here are the specs:Intel I3 Core 2.13 GhzWindows 7 64bit4 Gig DDR3 MemoryNvidia Geforce GT 325M 1 Gig graphics cardI thought this system would run FS9 like a dream, especially from the graphics side of it but when I go to flight sim and select the display option, I don't see my Nvidia graphics card listed. The only thing that shows up is an Intel HD internal graphics card. :( On default scenery I get a decent-ish frame rate but even the simplest scenery sends my frame rate down to around 7fps!! Anyone experienced a similar problem? Thanks :(
