  1. Thanks for telling me about A2A's 3D Lights Redux package. I switched the landing lights for those, and everything is working just fine. I kept the airport and plane lights from the other lightfix though. They are absolutely amazing. Thanks to everyone who helped me out on this one :)- Cbeppe
  2. Don't worry, I don't use that normally, but I had to see if it could solve my problem. I usually use dx9 when possible, because you can usually get better framerates.
  3. Yes, I have the aircraft display settings as high as they go, anisotropic filtering, anti-aliasing, and Dx10 enabled - whatever that may count for :) I also double-checked and restarted the game to make sure. I thought about this too, but as far as I can tell from reviews around the web, that shouldn't be a problem... still, I wouldn't rule it out. Thanks for the replies :)
  4. First of all, let me say that I'm not trying to make this work for 3rd party aircraft, mainly because I don't have any yet :) I'm just trying to make it work with the default airplanes. @mjrhealth:The spotlight.bmp file was changed when I installed the lightfix. It looks like it is supposed to, with the xenon effect, but it just does not show up in the simulator. I have attached some pictures to better illustrate the problem:(Hover over attachments to see filenames)Spotlight.jpg --> The new file that was added by the Lightfix installer. (Note: The actual file is a .bmp, but I wasn't allowed to attach it to the post. It looks exactly the same though.)Lights3.jpg --> A demonstration photo given by the author of the lightfix. This is how it's supposed to look.current.jpg --> The way it is for me at the moment.Thank you all very much for taking the time.
  5. Not surprisingly, the one thing that really bugs me with FSX is the lighting effects. Therefore, I downloaded Nick's Lightfix V2, and I'm pretty happy with it. The only problem I'm having, is that the landing lights, or any other lights for that matter, won't illuminate the ground infront. I would normally ignore it, but the default lighting effects on the ground is what caused me to change, and taking it away doesn't really solve the problem :)Anyway, if anyone knows about this problem, or could suggest an alternative, I'd be very grateful. Thanks in advance

I'm not sure if this will fix anything since I don't have the same addon, but it would seem that decreasing the mesh/texture resolution would help. If FS is trying to stretch the original texture, that might cause it to look weird...Anyway, I'm no expert :)
