I did not see a way to update my internet bandwidth on my profile. I just upgraded from 70Mb to 400Mb. I wonder if that is enough to get the best quality.

Click the 'tech alpha registration' and 'view my profile', there you can change your dxdiag. I think that will be the way to do it, but have not tried.

The Pimax 8K-X have 4K screens per eye and 170 degree horizontal FOV (will release in december 2019). My 2080Ti/9900K combo can run this. In one year (when MSFS2020 is released) I can upgrade my 2080Ti .... so running dual 4K screens in VR is doable. And what about the VR hardware in 2 years - and still no VR support in MSFS2020?

I will ignore the "Nice attempt though at being provocative" insult.

and what is the price for upgrading hardware every year?

Apparently VR is not used much in the 2019 x-plane world.

This thread shows that it is very important to people who use it, and I am sure it will come to the new MSFS at a time. To me it is no priority, I doubt that I will invest the money, and the idea of being cut out from the real world I do not like.

I will go on with my 2 screens and the look to the fields and the sea beyond my window.

I read all of this thread, and wonder how much time and effort (money) it will take to include VR?

P3Dv4 has a great future after I found out today that MSFS will not have seasonal scenery summer texture only. P3Dv4 will be the only sim with full support for season`s.

I have seen seasons in FSX-SE too 😉

But for some of us the patches are rock solid. I may just be lucky, but I've yet to have a problem with an update or new build. I never search for updates, just wait for them to be offered - they are then less likely to cause problems (according to MS)..

Same here, I have win10 since it was offered as a prebuild for insiders, and have liked it since.

I do not remember any major problems, but do not use the insider part any more.

Luckily computers and operating systems are developing all the time.

  6. Why do anybody think a new flight simulator would be released without virtual reality?

I do not think that I will use it, do not like the idea of being shut out of the real world sorrounding me.

As linked earlier in this thread x-plane users do not use it much.

Are there any of the existing simulators which do not support it?

store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey Oculus rift, the most popular headset, is used by 0.44% of steam users.

Apparently it is not main stream, but on interesting  way of playing, and I am sure it will develop.

For me it is a pleasant pastime and a reminder of days gone by.  But it no way does it put me back into the cockpit of a real airplane.

Just my words, I never understood the problem with game versus simulator, I enjoy it whatever it is called.

Fact is also, that my 64 bit Aerosoft airbusses behave properly in my P3D. It appears that only very few people experience that oscillating problem.

My Aerosoft Airbusses Pro behave fine, and I do not use a lot of other addons.

From this and other fora my impression is, that addons often react with each other in ways that was not intended.

Is it a game or a simulator? That is the question.

A game where you load it, select your aircraft and just flight?
Or is it a simulator? Plan your flight, check weather, prefight, program GPS/FMC, communications with ATC, etc. In other words a simulator for RW pilots and hard core simmers.
If it's the latter then I'm all in. Otherwise I'll pass.

The 3 sims that I use are games and sims by your definition.

P3D, X-plane and Aerofly , Aerofly is not for hard core simmers I guess, but has a very nice graphic engine.

  10. Aerosoft bashing is a popular sport, here and on fselite, and probably other forums.

On my PC the Airbus pro has performed with few and minor problems from release date.

Maybe because I have few addons, fsuipc free version and FTX regions.

Good for people to let the steam out, and no harm done.
