Hi Guys I have the BA paint for the aia E190 - but can't locate one for the aia E170. Peter - you very kindly helped re the Aer Lingus paints - but I think we'll have no joy here - have searched everywhere, to no avail. Just making this post in the last hope that someone may have a link. I fly within the UK and Ireland ( to all airfields with icao codes of EG** and EI** ) and as such, I am limiting my ai to aircraft and airlines which have their departures and arrivals within my flying area. The BA aia 170 is the only paint now missing........(it is used, for example, on the London City to Edinburgh and to Dublin flights). Many thanks Jont

Hi Guys I've searched but can't find any Aer Lingus repaints for the FAIB A319 and A320. They are there for the DJC models, but not FAIB. Does anyone know of any? ( I am aware that there is FAIB Virgin Atlantic A320 -opb Aer Lingus......). Many thanks Jont

Hi Guys Did you know that FS9 runs much faster and more reliably with the default scenery alone - but how many of us use the program for pure flight rather than being fixated on trying to make it look 'different'? I say this because I spent the afternoon flying yesterday and was so engrossed with the procedural aspects of this (flight) simulator that, whether or not the terrain was anything near perfect, did not matter a jot...... Sure, we can make the ground look different - but even with the most enhancing of scenery packages, there is usually a glitch, or an autogen, or a tree, or a hill, or a river, or a road, or a railway, or a town, or a city that stands up and batters our (ground) reality to the point that we are put off or sent into an endless search for a tweak and a fix. Maybe we should master the flying first and become competent and confident in anything from the Wright Flyer to the latest and meanest of jets. Yesterday I re-discovered FS9 and of course, I remember now, this is a flight simulator. Just perfect and probably worth hundreds of times more than its asking price..... Cheers Jont

Many thanks for your reply Peter - is PE's ai interaction just at an airport - or does it handle them whilst they are en route (you can hear this with the default ATC provided the ai are on your current frequency.....). I remember listening to ATC giving instructions to a cruising ai easyJet A319 and thinking that our paths would likely converge at a point ahead - and sure enough I could see its contrail coming from our left and pass safely 2000 feet below us. Hi guys I notice that the default B737-800 soundai folder (to which I alias my own ai sound effects) does not include a reverse thrust sound - odd to have that missing - what do you guys tend to add there - or can't this be done? Cheers Jont

Yes - there's no question that FAIB have pushed the boundaries with their native FSX B737 and Airbus range. I've said this before - it would also be great if TFS would convert their excellent FS9 A380-800. As we know, there are some fantastic FS9 models around - we just need them to go native!!! UT2 has the excellent (upgraded) B777-200 and B777-300 from TFS - it's a shame they didn't include an upgraded TFS A380-800. Cheers Jont

C'mon guys - let's all go ai native!! It's been a looooong time since FSX came out and we're still using a bucket load of FS9 ai aircraft. Hats off to FAIB, UTT and AI Aardvark for their conversions. A slight nod also to TFS - but theirs are only in Ultimate Traffic 2 (a conversion of your A380 would be awesome). It would be great to see all the other big names go native - what about it guys? However, I must add - many thanks and much respect goes out to you master craftsmen for all the fantastic, contributions you make, whether native FSX or otherwise....... Cheers!! Jont
