  1. Do you find that is is nearly impossible to keep altitude with the Autopilot in F-35A lightning, the stock Ac in p3d v5? It oscillates like crazy and will not keep altitude. Drives me nuts that it will not keep altitude. Lousy autopilot logic. But then again could be the operator 🙂 Any tips or tricks in any websites or personal?. The excursions are awful. Thanks in Advance People I appreciate it. Regards
  2. All your advise Bert is Noted . Thanks So much
  3. On another note is there any way to get sa smooth playback on P3d with the stock in program playback or is there a special addon to do a smooth capture? Thank you
  4. All this talk guys made me do some tweaking that indeed took care of 95% of my problems. I lowered my frame rate in NVIDIA to 40 actually and still looking ok for now. If i encounter stutters i will retweak to 30 and hopefully it will be smooth Thanks to all Im glad i posted a rant as It worked well for my setup. Thanks Bert and Threegreen and others, it was helpful Regards
  5. I cant find the Gsync option in P3d v5.. but probably there since im tired.. ill do some googling on it...

    Thanks for replying

Ill make the rest of the changes as well..

  6. My monitor is set to 100HZ since it is Gsync. I have no idea as to the difference of Gsync and Vsync. although i read about it i dont know how it applies to the sims. So you are saying to reduce my

refresh rate to 30 hz?and in the sim itself set it to ??

can you specificaly tell me what setting to use as a trial?

my monitos is Gsync the graphics card is an ASUS RTX 2080ti strix. My monitor is capable of 100Hz and it is selected to 100 Hz .

the limiting frames in NVIDIA control panel to 40 frames, and in the sim i have the vsync the triple buffering and the slider to unlimited as well as the variable refresh rate ON.

Given what you see above can you reccomend any settings to reduce the stutters and blurries ?... thank you

I didn't know you had a gsync capable monitor. In P3D v5, there is a gsync option. Use that instead of vsync and see what it does for you. Otherwise, I would recommend trying out the option I posted in the thread. I'm speaking from experience here. I had stutters in P3D until I reduced my TV to 30 Hz with the frame rate limiter set to unlimited within P3D and vsync plus triple buffering on. I also used

      [MAIN]
      FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.10

in the Prepar3d.cfg file to help with blurries in P3D v4.5. The experience was much smoother. I've since switched to VR flying so I'm not sure how this will play out in P3D v5. In any case, everyone's system is different so YMMV.

  7. Bert Thanks .. found it and testing as we speak...
  8. I Understand and respect that , however these systems with the huge computer rooms with airconditioned mainframe looking computers are doing a lot more than our PC sims are doing. in any event , I hope i get rid of these stutters and hopefully enjoy the experiencew more. Perhaps the FS 2020 will not have the same issues. Im actually excited that they decided to restart again and by the looks of it their product looks great so far.

  10. Great Thanks Bert. I will and report back ... I would love to get the Sim working as for me it is a practice tool especially the Rnav Approaches at different Airports and situations. Which particular setting in the Nvidia control panel are you refering to Bert? ... just to narrow it down a bit more for me please All suggestions are welcomed, 🙂
  11. thanks all for your comments... I'm a B787 Skipper now, as a day job in reality. Bert? I have been busy 🙂 in the meanwhile , and YES you are right long time member but i don't really post here very much I do however read a lot of the posts to keep up to date. I know from experience and from multi million dollar Sims and IPT's that are nothing than a bunch of PC's running a Sim, that the graphics are very fluid making it a training device. So in the smaller scale of Home pc's I expected that the fluidity would never be an issue. Gents? I get phenomenal Frame rates , but with the rig I have I thought that the microstutters would not be an issue. If im practicing IFR i dont care about the visuals but those pesky stutters are annoying. I will however try and figure out the situation. Thanks again for the pointers. Cheers
  12. No i dont have the setting too high. very conservative. Seriously i speak out of frustration that the developers dont pay attention to basics. They go for eye candy at the expense of fluid motion. Like i said my frame rates are Great.. the problems are the microstutters. Thanks for chiming in though . I do not have settings to high mid to low at the most for all.
  13. This is For P3dV5 OK no one ever says anything about the microstutters. What kind of training device allows for this??? I have a 7700K at 4.2 ghz, not over clocking much if any, Prime Z270P MOBO,CORSAIR VENGEANCE LED 64GB DDR4 3200MHz 48GB ram, 1TB M.2Nvme Samsung, and a RTX 2080 ti strix, Asus monitor 34 Inch PQ348Q running Gsync 100mhz. The microstutters are unreal. If anyone has anything else to add besides all the sims tweaks i would welcome it. The system is somewhat of a powerhouse but this is ridiculous. Can not get a darn smooth flight if i wanted to., Bu the way the frame rates are showing at 80 -90 even 110 in sparse areas. I do not have any addons either NOTHING yet. Here is a test. You guys do this and let me know if you are in the same boat. After takeoff if you turn the bottom right hand or left hand corner view out the cockpit with the default startup Fighter aircraft is so choppy it makes me sick!!!!! Lots of microstuttering, with great frame rates By the way my monitor is the Wide Real Simulation should not have Stutters, if they dont fix this its always going to be a "game" sick and tired of the Great Sim everyone is touting.. My 1 cents worth.
