Possible Upgrades
I posted this on the mobo, cpu, SSD section but since I had video card questions I thought I would repeat it here. Thank you. I have a PC I built to be my main computer of which FSX was a main consideration. I have decided to move to a MacBook Pro Retina to be my main computer to do all my surfing, photos, music, videos, etc. As such, I am going to dedicate my PC as a flight sim and hopefully, build a general aviation cockpit. Please take a look at my signature for current details. First, I thought I would upgrade my current SSD to a 256GB. My 120GB is full. I currently run 2 of the 560TI video cards in SLI so I can use 3 monitors. NVidia now has single card solutions like the GTX 670. As a consideration, I hope to add additional monitors in my cockpit for instruments. I am not sure if a new video card would be cost effective but I throught I would mention it for discussion. Please offer any other suggestions. Once I have the computer just right and running perfect with my current accessories I hope to begin the cockpit. I hope to be able to have the outside visuals only on the monitors and my instrument panel/radios,etc as separate hardware. Thank you for your help.

What is this called and how might I correct it
Thank you for the responses. Sounds like there is nothing for me to tweak. It is not that bad. Just an observation. Thanks again.

What is it called when you are flying along and you see buildings and terrain being built as you are moving forward. It is a little distracting. I have done all the bojote tweaks and my hardware is current. My stutters are minimal at very high resolution using 3 22" screens. Performance is near perfect if I only use 1 monitor. Just seeing if I can correct this final issue. Thank you.

GTX 560 TI for 3 Monitors
dschinkel replied to dschinkel's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI have an ATI 5770, see signature below for all specs, that works great in fair weather but as many posts say, works terribly in the weather. I have installed all the tweaks. I really like the graphics you get with Orbix PNW and Rex 2. I enjoy flying in my local weather conditions and living in Washington State, you can imagine I have just a few cloudy days. I also enjoy using Eyefinity and TrackIR5. That all said, the 5770 works quite well on clear days. I have no issues running all 3 monitors on Eyefinity and keep a good frame rate around 30 which I have limited. Now you add some weather and it is terrible with 3 monitors and not much better if I switch the resolution to 1 monitor. It is not the best experience nor what I would expect for this system. This card is left over from my previous AMD system. I know that FSX prefers nVidia cards but I truly enjoy the Eyefinity experience. I understand that you can do this with nVidia cards if you use 2 cards in SLI. Has anyone done this? I am open to other suggestions except for the Matrox. That and a 580 will cost around $800 and that is more than I would like to spend. 1 or 2 560's or 460's would probably be a good investment. The only other consideration might be to wait if nVidia has a single card multiple monitor solution. Please let me know if anyone has heard of that on the horizon. Thanks for the input.

For some reason I received an error message when I tried to post and the body of my message did not go through. I do not know how to delete this. Please accept my apologies and I will try again later. Thank you.
